Nice design. Ease of use - you can mount a drive in seconds. Its much more on me for not reading the product specs a lot more very carefully, but the 'ICY' in the name is a bit disingenuous in my opinion. The housing is made of plastic and not aluminum. It has no active cooling. The only issue is that it has vents on each the front and back of the housing, but i would expect this as normal. This won't be considerably of an challenge if you are using this with an SSD but maybe if utilizing a regular 2.five" drive.

I utilised this with my Intel SSD and it fit excellent, no troubles. The Intel (retail box) does come with mounting hardware, but it is rather simple and boring. This one adds a touch of class and tends to make my develop stand out a tad bit additional. Cooling appears adequate for my demands. None Relatively easy but it operates nice with Intel SSDs.

Best match for my SIIG trayless difficult drive bay! None so far, though perhaps price if you're on a spending budget. I attempted another 2.5" to three.5" adapter, but it was designed for screw-in installation. It worked poorly with my trayless bay. With this item, I can as simply swap 2.five" drives as I can 3.five" drives. It's dead straightforward to use, and nicely with the cash. Very Suggested.

Performs wonderful in the iStartUSA Bay Audio mobile bays sold here on newegg. Swapped out a HDD with the OCZ Agility 2 SSD in one of my bays and it operates excellent. Drive activity light does not flash even though the drive actifity light on my situation does. Not sure if this is the converter/ the hot swap bay, or the ssd. Not too big of a deal. This is a have to if you use 3.5" hot swap bays and you're obtaining a two.5" SSD and you don't want to purchase a complete new hot swap bay just for 2.5" drives.
