Very pleased
Comment:
Installed with a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, 4GB (2-2GB)Kingston PC6400 800MHz, 2-1GB Hitachi Drives in RAID 1. No problems with installation. Super fast loading applications, such as Office 2007. I did not upgrade my 256MB ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon, and my graphics are suffering a little, but I love the TV and FM in the A-I-W.

Very Good Product Good Price
Comment:
Received and installed the Quad Processor. After turning on the processor operated perfectly. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would do it again. Every thing worked the first time. I have several thousand pictures on my drive which seems to be no problem for the processor to handle.

Comment:
I am very happy with this processor! I got it before it started going back up in price. I am extremely happy with what I received. Thanks TD! I went from an Intel Core 2 Duo E2200 to this and it is awesome! If you buy it, you'll like it. Happy customer :)

Upgrades
Comment:
I upgraded my motherboard and processor from an E2140 to the quad core Q9400 and installed Windows 7 while I was at it. What a major difference. Before my computer was so slow when doing any multitasking. Now I can be running several programs at once and not miss a beat.

I've bought this with a EP43-UD3L because my old s939 amd x2 3800+ died. and the difference between these two is huge. Better for gaming, multitasking, video making and stuff. A well spent money for me i guess.

Amazing power for the price
Comment:
I REALLY wanted to got with an i7 for my new system, however, price got in the way of that. However, this processor easily does everything i've asked it to, and i've yet to see it get past 75% load. Keep in mind, i play Oblivion an Crysis in 1080p with the settings topped out.....this may not be a "top of the line" CPU....but what else do you really need?

Measurable Speed Increase
Comment:
We replace a two year old Core Duo processor in one of our video editing workstations with the Quad and picked up about a 15% decrease in render times... a definite workflow improvement. Installation was a breeze, glad we made the switch!

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Quad-Core Socket 775 Processor
Cons:a bit pricey when not on sale

Pros:overclock nicely and a cool Quad core
Comment:
I was able to push the Q9400 to 3.2GHz with the stock cooler with warm temps. got even farther to 3.6Ghz stable using an aftermarket cooler. great chip to overclock with just using minor tweaks. a great value for the price specially when its on sale.

GREAT CHIP!!!
Comment:
Fantastic value for the money. Blazingly fast processor that'll eat through anything you throw at it. OC'ed to 3.5GHz with core temps never going above 68 degrees celcius (case temps never exceeding 54 degrees). Worth EVERY PENNY!! Fan is a bit flimsy, recommend a better HSF if you operate at these speeds. Above temps are with an Arctic Cooler Pro 7 HSF.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Quad-Core Socket 775 Processor
Cons:Price?

Pros:45nm quad coreruns cool
Comment:
Used this in a video encoding machine along with 8GB of Corsair's TWIN2X4096-6400C5 RAM and ASUS P5Q Pro.Everything runs smoothly no hiccups. If you’re multitasking and or video encoding then you have to get an Intel Quad. There great at that. I haven't overclocked it since it wasn't my machine but will do if the client asks :)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Quad-Core Socket 775 Processor
Comment:
Overclocked this to 3.2GHz and used CPU Burn-in to run all four cores at 100% for an hour. Temperature never went above 44 degrees Celsius, even dropping down to 43 degrees at some points. No artifacts or bluescreens to speak of even at capacity like this. Incredibly fast and stable performance, a great purchase.
