This issue runs fairly fast due to the fact i upgraded from an quad core i didn't notice too substantially of a speed bump but it certain is quicker. Stock cooler is trash even to run that Turboevo point u will need a much better cooling atleast for me when i was operating some games it went up to 90s so i had to turn all that down till iget my new heatsink.

It's quick. Not as rapidly as higher end processors (such as some from the LGA 1366 sockets), but for gaming/digital design it's ideal. It's effortless to overclock it, also. It runs a bit hot. Even with a Megahalems heatsink with dual scythe fans in a push/pull config, I'm running at around 70-77 degress Celsius after a number of hours running a Prime95 "torture test" (Blend). Other than that, there is no loss of performance from the heat, at least from searching at my tests/gaming. I'm making use of an Asus P7P55-E Pro motherboard, and I overclocked it from 2.93GHz to 3.91GHz. I am very pleased, as I haven't actually dived into the globe of over clocking in my machines till just now. Quite simple and simple. Asus has some very great utilities to enable you out if you don't want to deal with the hassle of guessing oneself.

Blazing quickly Value? This proc boots windows 7 in a flash and runs games with out even breaking a sweat. I don't believe I have ever peaked previous 60% even though running something. I believed about obtaining the i5 but I am glad I got the i7 instead. If you have the further money I would grab it!

This model seems to have the finest function / cost ratio for now, and I've been happy with its stock efficiency so far. Throw the supplied cooler away and never look back. Devote an additional ุ on a excellent a single and watch your temps drop 20C

Runs pretty cool (for a CPU) with a slightly-above-stock heatsink (មC at medium load). Converts videos working with XviD at 6x realtime. RapidlyOverclocks nicelyHyperthreading makes it more like an 8 core processor rather than a 4 core. Can manage just about something with power to spare.Gets a 7.6 in windows experience index when overclocked to three.5 ghz Runs a tad hotPrice tag, I would like to see the price tag drop yet another 20 or 30 due to the fact of the new 6 core amd processors can retain up with this for rather a bit less $stock cooler is junk but whats new Altogether this is a excellent processor. It overclocks to three.five on stock voltage. At 3.5ghz it runs at 38-40 C idle, and 65-70 C w/ 100% load. This is with a corsair h-50 cooler. As i mentioned in cons it runs a bit hot, and i would have like to have observed lower temps, and I know there doable based on other critiques, I just haven't been able to personally attain them so no minus egg for that.I purchased this for a gaming rig, and to be honest it was definitely overkill. A amd x4 or intel i5 would have produced the very same FPS at half the price which would have left $ over for a much better graphics card. If your acquiring this for a workstation then a lot more power to you, but for gaming its just not worth the price tag.Nzxt Phantomi7 870Gigabyte p55 ud38 gb patriot 1600 cas lat 7msi twin frozr 5850seagate barracuda 1tb650 watt psu

The stable, solid efficiency I've come to anticipate from Intel. I'm sure it would overclock lots but I won't bother. Retail heat sink fairly little for 95W, multiplier locked. Yes, I know I can acquire an 875 at a premium, but they must all be unlocked.

It's an I7! 8 threads, handles something you throw at it very easily.Higher multiplier than the 860, helps with overclocking. Hot CPU, but thats all I7's.Stock cooler is worthless. With turbo on Ɠ.2ghz), temps get to 90c utilizing prime95 smallFFT. And this is changing the stock paste to arctic silver as well. It's just as well smaller.Cost to efficiency is kinda high, I payed 赨 for this CPU used so I'm extremely happy with the cost for performance on my deal. Not as very good of an overclocker as a earlier I7 860 I've owned. With a decent air cooler, I was able to accomplish four.2ghz at 1.3875 Vcore. Temps would get to ㆗c under complete load, so I only did it to see what I could do. Each day I run three.8ghz at 1.325v which is WAY overkill for something. On a small SS phase unit I was able to obtain four.5ghz stable on Wprime32m at 1.525v. Temps were -30c.On an I7 860 I've owned before I could get to four.5ghz on air Ɣ.8 with HT off) and 5ghz on the phase. But thats just luck of the draw on the batch actually.

I've been working with this for a while now, and wow, this is so worth what I paid. It is fantastic. I have not had a single issue. It is additional than I expected, and I truly believe that buying this was a small overreaching to my wants... but I enjoy it. It is certainly worth the higher price that some people complain about, despite the fact that I don't feel the value is high at all. It comes with cooling fan and is straightforward to install. it is Soooooo quickly! I also adore that it has a ton of cache and fits my requirements perfectly. It's 64-bit, but that's absolutely nothing particular these days. I also love the Turbo Increase and hyper threading.. it is amazing. None get it.

none appropriate now You have to be quite uninformed to get this suitable now. Intel released a new line of processors right now. You will be able to pick up a more quickly processor for twoǙ the price within a week! You are now informed :) The new line from Intel takes a new motherboard socket.

Super rapid, tears through something, haven't got it past 20% usage yet (Except prime95 ofc). O'Ced to three.6 stable. Heatsink runs warm even at stock two.93 ࿆ idle, 60 @ 15% usage). O'Ced to 3.6 and runs at 50 idle, run Prime 95 and much less than 20 secs it's up to 100 (scary) and my mobo shuts it down. An aftermarket heatsink is a Must, even with a mild overclock. :(. You would feel for 跌 bux, they'd give you a decent cooler. Ordering an aftermarket cooler to cool this factor down. Other than that, definitely no complaints. It's a beast and will not bottleneck anything you have.

So considerably nicer and faster than my i3 was. Excellent temps 26C idle - 40C-45C load with water cooling. Wish they were more affordable, but nonetheless incredibly pleased. If you are thinking about getting an 1156 mobo, this is the CPU to get. You will not be disappointed. It runs so substantially smoother than my i3 did. Huge Enormous improvement.

Quickly. For my needs, far more than sufficient. This factor is actually unstoppable, and the main problem is to get the numbers that it must calculate to it rapid adequate. None for me. Put this into an ASUS P7P55D-E Pro. Worked on first boot. Put a Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU Cooler on it, no troubles whatsoever with temps. With Prime95 this barely goes into the mid-70's degrees Celsius.

In terms of benchmarks it is about on par with the i7 930. But the primary advantage of this over the i7 900 series is that it uses much less energy ࿿W) and runs cooler. This was the best alternative for my HTPC which needed socket LGA 1156. I am also extremely pleased with the speeds I am obtaining. None so far I would advise this more than the i7 900's.

It wasn't too pricey, and it works good. I came from an i3 procressor, and the speed improve is phenominal. I strategy on employing the turbo increase, which is really simple to do up to 3.6GHz. Somewhat high priced compared to AMD processors, but well worth the funds in my opinion.
