Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 Dual-Core Socket 775 Processor
Cons:800FSB 2MB
Pros:Inexpensive, nice overclocker Comment:
Currently have this at 3.6GHz (288x12.5) at 1.36v using a Scythe Reeven Direct Touch Heatpipe CPU Cooler.Temps are good with this overclock (idles at around 30°C and gets to 54-59°C on OCCT stress testing).Nice inexpensive performer for budget builds. |

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 Dual-Core Socket 775 Processor
Cons:None
Pros:Cheap, performance Comment:
These days, it really doesn't matter what CPU you get asl ogn as it's decently quick. This processor matched with an overclocking motherboard and a decent graphics cards has me playing the newest games at 1920x1080 at 60fps no problem. I don't see the point in getting anything better than this. |

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 Dual-Core Socket 775 Processor
Cons:heatsink is just good for stock speed
Pros:overclocking capability, price Comment:
i know u dont need my review cause this cpu is so popular that the net is full of its reviews but here is my 2 cents: first the let downs, the heat sink? no good but again it was never meant to be for overcloking i can get a good 3.5 Ghz out of it and it go to the dangerous 60's celcius territory tried last night 4 GHZ and it 2 seconds it went to 89 celcius, i was so scared that a tear came to my eye ( the right one ), just to say that its the cooling problem not the cpu limitation and thats why im planning to buy a new heatsink. as for games, paired with a 4870 from HIS no game gets in the way, bioshock, L4D, unreal 3, TF2, all play at 80+ fps even during intense combat with alot of characters it gets to 40 or 50 so really playable ( at stock speed 2.5 Ghz). crysis play good in a 1440x900 with high details and 2xAA at 35 to 40 fps, at very high ... i think ill need a quad core as Crysis is a cpu bound game. |

Overall, It's a decent chip for the money and hasn't given me any stability issues at a basic 800 MHz OC from 2.5 to 3.33 at 333 * 10. I bought this as a temp replacement for my E6600 (B2) which was going into a computer for my brother. Compared to the 4MB cache, I'm not sure I really notice a difference in framerate while gaming but I haven't benched either setup (E6600/E5200).I tried going for 3.6, but it required more than double the voltage increase I gave it to reach 3.33, and so I've put any higher clocks on hold for now. A little disappointed there considering it's a 45nm core and I ran my 65nm E6600 at 3.6 for some time... But it could be my board or voltage settings, so I won't detract points for that. Would buy one again for a cheap build.
