This worked great for me! I think the other reviewers must have had a different product. you can't block the fans because the plastic is groved to the edges to let them suck air all along the bottom of your laptop. My ancient dell laptop would quit working because it got so hot. This lil jobbie cooled it down. Probably not a good choise for a really large laptop, check the dimensions of your laptop before you buy. If you are having a heat problem on an older laptop and it is performance affecting this will fix it. will drag your battery down fast though.

This device did a moderate job of cooling, possibly just providing a layer of insulation between my laptop and my lap. After a year of use, two of the fans had stopped working (all three green lights still worked though). I spent a little more money and tried out the Thermaltake T1000, I love it.

I purchased this cooler about a year ago & at first it was great. After about 3 months it slowly started to fall apart. First the fans started rubbing the inside of the case and made annoying noises. After about 4 months the first fan stopped working. 6 months in and the 2nd fan stopped working. Now the entire thing doesnt work anymore. If your looking for something that will last for a couple of months, then its a great deal. If you want something thats going to last, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ITEM!!!! My advise is to spend the extra $35 and buy the Vantec LPC-430. I bought it about 5 months ago and its by far a much better item!.

While this thing costs nothing, you really need to spend a little extra dough to get a more expensive one. When it came and I first plugged it in, one of the three fans was scraping against the case and making an awful noise... it is also doesn't have a very nice build quality. I tried to fix the scraping fan, but I couldn't ever get it as silent as the other two. If you get one and all three fans worked fine, this would be 5 star. Mine is still too loud to sleep in the same room with it.

I bought two of these laptop coolers and both are still working fine after five months. I was going to purchase another one as price is great and they really do cool the laptop effectively. I have not experienced any of the problems cited in earlier reviews, but have decided not to purchase the third one due to poor reviews. I may have just been lucky.

I ordered two of these fans, one as a gift, based on the price. Unfortunately I guess this product is an example of ''you get what you pay for''. I recieved my order, and checked both pads, on both, only 2 of the 3 fans work. I called tiger direct and requested replacements, again BOTH have only 2 working fans. On the website it says that all 3 should work. Please do not waste your money on this product. Pay extra to get something better!

DO NOT waste your money on this product. This is nothing but cheap plastic and unless you have a very small laptop this product will not work for you. This product is made so cheap you could build something from scratch yourself of better quality. Again, DO NOT waste your money on this product.

I like this product so far. Smart design and low cost. I just can't beleive all the negative feedbacks. My first cooler was a Targus and very good also for $35.00. I got this one for the cheap price. So far I am well pleased.

When I received mine, one of the fans was unglued from the base; one of the blades on this fan was broken as well. It would have cost me more to send it back than I paid for it so I just bought a cheap fan and replaced it. Next problem, the solder jobs on the PCB were god awful, it's amateur at best. The connector for the dc supply came undone. I don't recommend this product to cool someone's dog let alone a laptop. The case itself is well designed for air flow and cosmetically looks nice though. So if you want to rework it and put in your own fans go ahead and get it. They'll probably work better. I used a coolmaster fan from an old CPU heat sink. I'll post an update to say if this product worked for me or not.

definitely the worst electronic device i've ever purchased...power cable just doesn't fit in its place.it's impossible to find the right spot to make it work.very cheap plastic and ridiculously weak fans. ignore this product!

Had mine for about a week as it came quickly. Works just fine. My laptop fan hardly comes on at all and only very briefly.

Super deal for the money. It seems too thin and lightweight to do much of anything when you look at it. But it does the job! For people whose laptops are burning up their laps....it works great! It's very quiet and light weight. And it's an awesome price that works just as good as some of the more expensive ones.

Not impressed, used product for about an hour and my computer shut down twice because it was getting too hot. I was better off just elevating the bottom rear portion of my laptop. The fans are weak and did not provide enough airflow, rather this item just blocked all air flow.

I'm extatic! I was concerned because of some other poor reviews, but pay them no heed. This cooling fan is fantastic! Yes, it's made of plastic, much like most laptops. But it's very quite! And most of all, it keeps my laptop cool and stops my lockup problem! W00T! Furthermore, the way it's designed, it will work on ANY laptop. I highly recommend!

I was very disappointed when I started using this cooler. For one, I could feel no hot air coming out of the back of the unit. Plus, I used a hard drive temperature monitor and according to that, it didnt help a bit. It didn't feel any cooler to the touch either. The temperature just sat at 105 degress, which is the pretty much the same as what it ran at before i used the cooler. The power cord also has a short in it up around the round dc jack area. I DO NOT recommend this product!!

I bought the cooler at an outlet store. I'm very happy with the product. Although the cooler did not cool my laptop enough for the laptop fan to stop running, the drop in temperature on my keyborad was noticable. One piece of advice: If you're picking it up at a store, CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE TWO RUBBER KNOBS ON EACH TOP CORNER ARE THERE! (knobs are visible in the picture) One of mine was missing. But the store was closed by the time I found out, so I just used something from Home Depot to replace it. Overall, it's a nice product for a great price.

The shipping was lightening fast. I ordered on wed and got it of Fri. I was skeptical about this product because it only cost $12.99 Yet, this product is more than worth the money. My laptop was so hot I was afraid it would burn out. In fact, when I lifted my laptop and felt my table, the table was as hot as the bottom of my laptop. Fortunately, this $12.99 cooling pad (don't think the product is cheap because of the price)really cooled down my laptop. I don't have to worry about my laptop buring out no more. T.D I pleased with your fast shipping. I have a dell duo core laptop running at 2 gig. So I really recommend this item, especially dell laptop owners (dell's laptop are known to get very hot) thanks

Got it today, pluged it to my laptop but doesn't work. I guess it is designed for desktop replacement laptops which have lot of power on their USB ports. Make sure before you buy it works with your laptop.

I bought this laptop cooler about 4 months ago, and for such a cheap laptop cooler, it works really well. Although mine really isn't that quiet, it definitely gets the job done, so I can't complain. My laptop gets very very hot without this, and now I can leave it on all day with the laptop cooler on and it's always cool to the touch. The fans are right where they should be for my laptop. Good buy.

This thing is amazing. I was very skeptical because of the cheap price, but it works like a champ. My laptop now stays cool to the touch, and you really don't know it's on unless you look for the green light on the front. Fantastic product. I just purchased this product, and the on/off switch does have a little issue. Otherwise it does move air well, and it is quiet. But it is made of plastic, just thought I would let people know.
