Comment:
1gb for ű.99??? thats cheap. none bought an Averatec Buddy (re-branded MSI Wind) popped it in and windows recognized instantly after rebooting there is a major noticable change going from 1gb to 2gb. replaced my 160gb hdd, with a 320hdd installed ubuntu and this factor is fast. Perfect for ANY Netbook., |

Got two of these for an aging laptop that only had 512MB stock. It made all the difference and the end user is plenty satisfied with the result. |

Kingston 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory
Cons:none
Pros:Kingston reliabilityPrice (12.99) Comment:
this was exactly what i needed. my tablet pc doesn't support any higher speeds or cl than this stick offers. It has built in 512 ddr5300 cl5, so.. this was as simple as plus and play. instant improvement.the jump from 512 to 1 gb or ram is night and day difference. cant say more people would notice the extra 512mb, but.. at 13 bucks a stick, you cant go wrong. |

Kingston 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory
Cons:Not listed on Kingston site as compatible.
Pros:Compatible with older ram. Comment:
Finally got around to upgrading memory on my 2 year old ASUS W3V. Was a bit worried because the 512mb OEM chip was a PC2-3200. These and even the PC2-4200's are much more expensive now than the PC2-5300's. And Kingston does not even list the 5300 as compatible with this machine. But, no problem, worked like a charm and machine is much, much faster. Ran Memtest for over 2 hours and no problems. (Hope this helps save a few bucks for those with older machines!) |

Kingston 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory
Cons:Not recommended by Kingston, they recommend their non value ram.
Pros:Cheap, works for my first gen MacBook Pro 2.0ghz Comment:
Cheap and works great on my MacBook Pro Intel Core Duo 2.0ghz. As far as I know and concerned, all ram is the same for apple products, if it works it's great. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-03-08 02:51 AM |
