Works great with my Macbook I bought new from Apple in April 2008 (MB402LL/A). 4GB has a noticeable improvement more than the stock 1GB (even when not running memory hogs like VMWare/Parallels). Kingston won't inform you upfront that this is compatible with Apple laptops.
