-Gets the job completed-Supports lightscribe-Quickly delivery -Loud-Did not come with application The only cause I bought this drive was mainly because my asus drive did not support lightscribe and it was cost-free shipping. Although this drive gets the job performed, it's way too loud for my liking.

Quiet Mine quit recognizing DVD's after a couple months with low usage. Doesn't come with a SATA cable. Lg's online support doesn't operate at all and the telephone number listed is in-valid.LG's internet internet site lists all models of optical drives except this a single. At least I located out about LG's client support over a twenty dollar drive and not a two thousand dollar LED Tv.

Works good, reads all dvd backups i've produced, and burns new ones without having difficulties..quiet; i can still hear my case fans and difficult drive reading when this drive is at full speed burning and my case fans are three-18db, 120mm in size which as you can tell is nearly quiet.. none at all, packaging perhaps? but bubbles had been not popped so theres no reason to complain... for those whom are getting matters with audible sound, possibly your drive is just defective, do an rma..

Iv'e had no difficulties with this unit, 1st time employing LG. not the quietest, but not loudest ether. plays dvd's excellent and doe's a excellent job burning them also. I can not say something about the lightscribe as I did not use it. none I would acquire it once more, fantastic cost to top quality

I purchased two of these, and they just arrived. I'm assuming the two devices themselves will work fine. IF the Cyberlink software had been included as expected, then I would have gotten my cash's worth and been pleased regardless of device efficiency. I've produced numerous Newegg purchases this holiday season, and fortunately this is each the only one to be messed up, and by far the least expensive. So I guess that's superior.I bought TWO, just so I could install the Cyberlink software program on my two machines, not since I truly required two far more DVD burners. Don't count on any Cyberlink software program becoming bundled with it (much less full licenses), no matter what the description or evaluations say. I'm too lazy to convert video formats to upload my unboxing video now, but I'm tempted to do so if this turns out poorly. It's like a comedy, initially noticing the UPS Ground label, then that only 1 drive had disks with it, then noticing the disks are only the LG disks (none by Cyberlink), then noticing one disk has gunk on it, then noticing it's not gunk but a razor blade slash which matches one on the envelope, etc. This is searching like my 1st bad Newegg encounter so far. We'll see if they fix it, or at least refund me down to the current Ɠ days later) price.1. Despite it becoming an OEM version, Cyberlink PowerDVD suite was allegedly bundled with it. It wasn't in the box, so I'm off to do battle to get it. It's no longer in the description, and I doubt they'll give considerably weight to a "verified buyer" evaluation saying the full version was included for them.two. Least expensive shipping was UPS 3-day. Truly arrived UPS Ground (technically within 3 UPSdays, by shipping it later from a warehouse a day away).3. Price dropped 10% in the course of those three days, plus they're giving totally free shipping now. I could have bought this for ป.75 much less, missing only the software program bundles they didn't ship me anyway!!!four. One of the two LG installation disks has a deep razor-blade slash clear via each its envelope and its media surface. Entirely unusable, but I do have two, so I don't mind that.

Has all the capabilities 1 would need to have in a DVD drive. It works like it should. And it is inexpensive. None. What isn't to like?

Runs nice, driver installs in about 15 minutes. None. My motherboard only came with 1 SATA cable so I had to wait a few days for another.

Wasn't certain I wanted a SATA based DVD (had an EIDE from prior method that I could reuse), but friend said it would perform a lot much better. So far he's been correct. None. When installing in a case, think the location by way of. I put it in the leading five 1ǚ and the SATA cable from the PSU didn't reach down to the HDD. Necessary to use both sets of SATA cables.

I have had no issues over the past month. It reads and writes fine. The software program included is okay. It took me a while to figure out if it was full versions or not, and it is. It includes full versions of PowerDVD 8 (without dolby digital expansion pack or Blu-ray playback), Power2 Go 6 Deluxe, Power Backup 2.6 standard, YouCAm for webcameras, Power Producer 5 standard, labelprint 2.five standard, plus an LG discopy utility. none

I've been using LG burners for years and honestly i prefer them over any other brand. I've tried ricoh, hp, benq, but the one that seems to work the best is LG. Even if this is $5 or $10 more than the other branded burners i'd recommend this just because it seems to be built with quality.

purchased this a month ago and must say for 29.99 you cannot go wrong scribe feature works flawlessly very fast speed end result when burning is very nice very happy with the purchase.

Bought this as a low cost option for a system. Nothing really stands out about it; it's a very solid drive that does what it's supposed to do. Seek times are average, no issues with burning dvds or cds.

I bought this for my friend, when his DVD drive stopped working and he wanted to a lightscribe writer. So far it's still working 100%, no problems, can't go wrong. Would I buy this for myself? No, a bit pricey compared to others.

Been using this for a couple of weeks now and no major issue with it. It's fairly quiet and could read all my previous backup picture/video dvd without issues. For this price, it's a good investment to install programs.

This is something that everyone needs in their computer, and really from one drive to another, I have not noticed much of a difference in terms of speed of write/read and noise.This is easily the loudest part of my computer when the fan starts spinning, but that's not often since it only really spins when its reading a disc. Most of the time you stop noticing it because all optical drives behave this way.Nothing special about this drive, would purchase again, but if there's a cheaper one, go for that instead. Any price premium you pay on this drive won't get you anything extra.
