Worked Great!
Comment:
I live on a 15acre property and wanted to share our VSAT internet with the neighbour 200ft away. Our buildings are brick, concrete, metal screened windows and tin roof! Worst scenario! Setup was fairly straight forward and succeeded on second try. Though my neighbor has to be in just the right spot he is able to get internet with his laptop! Unit is placed just outside our screened porch. Lot Ma... no wires!

Did not perform as expected
Comment:
Unable to access the router to adjust setting, would do a normal link up but would not link with security setting. Not worth the money. Did have great range with security setting though.

Worked Out of the Box
Comment:
WiFi products almost never setup and operate simply. This one did. Put in the disk, hardwire the extender for setup, follow the on screen instructions(which was reasonably close to readable English) and it worked - just as advertised.

Good Product
Comment:
Had an issue with picking up a good signal from the main house wireless router, I would loss my connection as it was so weak. I bought this extender and it completely changed the singnal out put, I now have an excelent signal and even with some of the storms lately it works just fine.

It sure helped me...
Comment:
I got a new computer with a wireless G card and even though the signal to my old computer still showed very good, the signal strength to the new one was none to poor in the same spot. I purchased this range expander as I already had a Linksys router. My wireless is unsecured since my closest neighbor is 2 miles away so I could use the auto configuration and it installed very easily. I moved it around between the floors until I now have a very good to excellent signal strength and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a boost.

Works With N-Series Routers too
Comment:
Bought this without doing thorough research and found out that Cisco/Linksys didn't support this with their N-series routers, however, I found an article on line outlining what needed to be done to get it to work with an N-Series and it works just fine! Does exactly what I wanted it to do (penetrated a cement/rock foundation).

Excellent product
Comment:
This product worked right from the start. We can get up to 500 ft distance from this product. So far it was worth the expense. It could have been less expensive, however!

Bought two of these units. They worked fine for about 6 months and both units died about a month apart. No LED lights on. I even used surge protectors. Look for another brand and save yourself from aggrivation.

Bought two of these and neither of them worked on my laptop operating Vista Home Premium. Linksys was insistant that I try them on an XP system no matter how many times I told them that I only had Vista. Tiger Direct handled both cases by sendind me a return label and issued a refund promptly. NO THANKS Linksys and KUDOS Tiger Direct.

I installed this in an apartment where our tenant wanted internet service. I first configured it with my router and then took to the apartment and plugged it in. I instantly had 2 blue lights and it has worked great with his Belkin wireless usb connect adapter. By the way the apartment is 200 ft. from the router and is getting a signal through 3 walls. The router is a Linksys wrt 110 which has also worked great sending the internet service from Wild Blue.

I used this to expand the wireless network in my home. I combined it with a Linksys WRT110 situated on the east side of my house to expand the range to the west side. The set-up took less than ten minutes. I did NOT have to disable my security settings. I did have to actually read and follow the instructions which worked perfectly. My desktop is wired to the WRT 110. My two Tivos are wireless on the network and my laptop works throughout the house and on the patio. This is my second network and my first wireless network set-up.

Would definitely NOT recommend. I bought three of these in 8/2007. Worked OK until recently, when all three died at almost exactly the same time. If you don't mind buying new every year, go ahead.

Works as advertised, but not very fun to setup. Expanded a 2Wire 2701 HG-D dsl modem/router network in a large metal warehouse. Don't use the installation disk (crapware). It will work on security enabled network, but you have to turn off the router's security before setting up, Once the expander is working with the router, then enable the security first on the expander and then on the router. Look in online forums for instructions. One problem is that you can't use an alphanumeric passcode with it, but just change passcode to all numeric and it works. You get 2 'power plates', one for mounting straight into a power outlet and the other with a length of power cord so you can wall mount the unit higher than 3 inches. My box came with a standard US plug for the outlet-mount plate, but a European plug on the plate with cord. I got Linksys to ship me a new plate, after asking for a manager. They wanted me to RMA back to tigerdirect, but I had it working already so no way!

Works like a charm for my needs. We have 5 cabins in the woods with lots of trees in between. Farthest cabin from the router had very weak signal. Took less than 10 minutes to set up using the included cd, unplugged it, moved it to last cabin, plugged it in and got both blue lights. Now 5 bars at 54 mps

A little on the expensive side but this thing works! It took me a while to set up for some reason but it was worth it. The 7dbi antenna from dlink did hardly anything so bought the range extender and my signal went from 0-1 bars to 5 bars (router in basement, laptop 2 floors up).

the manual appeared overwhelming at first, but i simply read it carefully and setup was pretty easy, took all of 3 minutes. I did find that it works best to put the range expander closer to your PC for best results [ as opposed to midway between the PC and router. Overall, satisfying experience. SOlves the problem and does wht it sets out to do.

Bought this to conect to hotspots and I cannot complain. It is very easy to setup, just following the setup wizard. Previous to this piece of equipment I waas getting a single bar, but now I get 5 bars. The reason why I gave it 3 stars for features is because for it the the web interface is too simple, I would prefer more features to tinker with...I guess that interface is perfect for someone to a newbie to networking. One tip the SSID and Channel of the range extender MST be the same as access point. Oh I am on my extender at the moment.

I had this range expander for a year, it worked very good on dead spots. Then just stopped power up, I sent it to Lynksis (3yr warranty)they sent the unit back claiming that it was physiscally damaged (item all opened up in pieces). They avoided my calls in this matter.I am not trusting this company anymore. Beware.

After reading a great number of reviews on this product all over the web I wasn't sure I should be buying the unit since I am not much of a technical person. But since nothing else seems to help my signal problems, I decided to give it a try anyway. Got the unit today. I took 10 minutes to read through the setup guide before doing anything, then I did the setup with the guide in hand, following it step by step. The actual setup took between 15 - 20 minutes. The unit is working just great. I have excellent signal in places where I wasn't even getting a weak signal, and to think that my wireless router isn't even the a Linksys which is recommended, it's a D-Link. I lift my hat to linksys on this product.

I called Linksys with a problem, I had to get my network from my house to my garage 612ft apart. I was told is was impossible for a wireless network to do that. HA,HA After a High Gain antenna kit for the router and this range extender, I get 92% signal and never had a problem. If you need to bridge a gap, this is the way to go!!

This thing works Great! I use it to extend a network about 300ft from the router that's in another building across the yard, to my Computer Shop on one side and the outher side to a Bar. Make sure that you have V2.0 I revived one with v3.0 and had to send it back. This works great!

This thing works well once you get it set up on your network. I've had it up and running for about 6 months now and it's been great, I use it to extend a network about 300ft from the router that's in another building across the yard, to the house and into the office. It'll take a very weak signal and boost it to an acceptable level so that your PC card can pick it up and connect. Most of the time the signal strength at the PC is excellent where before it was so bad it would not connect.
