Challenging to give something any Pros when it's broke. Though working with this drive for the month that I did, attempting to install an Operating Program was difficult to say the least. Following many attempts and acquiring errors every single time I finally caught on and tried the Lite On burner to install the OS and it went in with no any errors at all.After a few days the DVD Rom created a howl as the laptop or computer was began. As it was far more than 30 days given that getting it from newegg I approached Lite On for an RMA, well I have been waiting for more than a week now for the e mail to arrive with my RMA.

Low value, small size so it doesn't touch the MB. It functions on Windows XP 64/Athlon 64 3000+ program. A small noisy. Does not come with drivers so you want Windows XP or larger version to make this perform. Yet another issue is (I don't know if all DVD drives are like this) that it does not comply with the old IDE cable ࿈ wires). You need to use the new cable ࿰ wires). So far it functions for me fine. I purchased this DVD drive to construct a pc with, and it does what it says it does. It reads and writes CDs and DVDs. Not much much more. It doesn't have a incredibly rapidly read speed, and it takes about 5 or ten seconds to recognize a disc. However, if you're playing games from this drive, they don't lag.
