the cable looks good, it has a protective mesh. You have to connect two four-pin connectors to the adapter in order to power all the pins on the 6-pin male finish. It's truly not much of a issue if you have lots of 4-pin connectors on your PS. I saw some other critiques saying that these adapters are not wired appropriately, so prior to utilizing them, I looked up some of the wiring specs on the online for 6-pin PCI-E PS connectors. This brand and model of adapter IS wired appropriately and works with no modifications.

it operates fine i had to rearrange all my power connectors to get it to operate had to use 2 power connectors on two unique line out of the power provide but that makes sense its a same it takes 2 power connector but worth it

It's got a great black mesh wrap on it. It functions The Molex connectors wanted to fall out the back after I plugged and unplugged. I had to seal the back with Hot glue to preserve them from falling out. It's low cost-ish.
