has a nice black mesh wrap the 6 pin connector does not fit in the 6 pin slot of my xfx 8800gts...so this seems to be a entirely pointless buy i just ended up purchasing a good 550w mushkin psu that is SLI prepared and has modular cables. it was surely worth the additional dollars and it operates wonderfully.

Functions wonderful with nVidia 8800GT! Was extended adequate to go from the best of my particular case down to the video card. Fit perfectly. None. I necessary this for a nVidia 8800GT so I could put it in my other Pc that didn't have the 6-Pin connector.UPS hates me. They always let the shipped product sit in the warehouse which is 45min away from my house for days till the actual "arrival" date. Never had this matter when Fedex was the major shipper for Newegg.

Wired properly, believe it or not. The sleeving is a nice touch. Documentation of some kind would be nice. Running a HIS 1950 Pro 512MB via an old Antec True550, and when employing both Molex connectors I have no difficulties at all. Plugs suitable in and functions flawlessly.

Sleeving is nice. The 6 pin connector to connect to the video card wasn't produced appropriately. 1 of the 6 pins was supposed to be rounded and it was square. Too affordable a portion to worry about RMAing.

It does what it advertises Built horribly! I unplugged it to adjust my cables and when i plugged it back in two of the 3 pins were loose and pushed by means of the back generating it useless! You get what you pay for. There are not several possibilities out there so I guess I will have to get one more one.

this adapter does perform, the wiring is correct and it does fit into a pci-e 6 pin connector. i'm not confident if the other 'reviewers' got doa adapters of if they're just not all too vivid. none. it is type of large for the laptop or computer i installed it in, but that's not the manufacturer's fault. unfortunately, the video card i bought didn't come with a pci-e adapter, so i had to devote additional funds to purchase this. i'm glad it wasn't too high priced.

works that I needed it usid it to power my hd3850 built into an shuttle G33... damned shuttle power dindn't incorporate PCI power. the little 205W psu does allow me to run the gpu, following adding this small helper.

Cheap - I purchased two and got a Ū discount Wired all weird. 6-pin jack fits into ATI 4870 receptacle, but the wiring was totally off. Isn't the wiring a normal?I had to get rid of the mesh shielding to be in a position to rewire it. Luckily, my 4870 came with 1 4-pin to 6-pin, so I applied it as an model to rewire this P O S. It's fairly effortless to do - just do it on the 4-pin side exactly where you can squeeze the pins so they can be pulled out of the molex jacket. I employed a tiny flat-head screwdriver to press down the pins' "barbs" that hold them in place. One of the pins in the molex has two yellow wires attached. All the yellow wires appeared to be in the right location, but the others (black) were wrong.

works ? you really should get the right power supply if you are using 1 of these. there is a cause for why they have six places on the plug I suspect your card wont get enough electricity to function its greatest with out a power supply that has the suitable plug.

Great little adapter. They work just like they are supposed to. It allowed me to convert 2 total SATA lines over to Molex. Every line had two Sata connectors in it. I then added two 6 pin adapters. This allowed me to go SLI with my power supply. I have a Dell XPS 710 with a 750 power supply. I wanted to go SLI nonetheless could not come across the suitable adapters. Till now. I am running two 8800 GTX XFX OC with no problem. I ran one solid line into each and every card and two converted Sata to molex to 6 pin pci in the other. Saved me alot of funds from upgrading into a used 1000w dell power supply. I only have 1 hard drive and one dvd rw. I am positive I could add additional. Just make certain you have nothing else on the line you are converting to PCI. Dedicate the entire sata line just to that PCI 6 pin.
