Extremely quiet. Has a lot of connectors for an old legacy box. As an individual else has noted, it's a tight squeeze in a Pavilion 7850. It's tough to get two screws into place. Kudos to these who note their pc model quantity when achievable. It absolutely helps when trying to make a decision what'll work in older machines.

I have to admit. This is a good power supply. It runs a Radeon 9800 Pro video card with two raided drives, and two DVD-RW w/ lightscribe. It has a lot of connectors with long length. It doesn't match the firm's description. It's incredibly noisy. Has a smell when on, and it isn't the same size and pointed out on the corporation's site. I have a Samsung MA30 from Korea. It' was suppose to fit but doesn't. It's okay...

Quieter than the energy supply it replaced, and heats up much less. Inexpensive. Has crashed a handful of instances, but I'm not sure if the unit is at fault, or if I messed some thing up (loosened a connection...) when I removed the old energy source and installed this one, or if it's just too significantly power for my pc 鳾W upgrade)... My HP Pavilion 511n's power source would overheat and crash on hot days unless I either kept the A/C on, or the personal computer casing open (side panel removed). It was noisy to boot, particularly with the side panel off... For four months the new power supply has worked as a fine replacement. My 4Ǜ rating is probabilistic; 5 if energy supply is not accountable for crashes, but 1, two or three if it is based on the facts...

It's a little type factor so that's good. I've lost three boards to this PSU, I believe it offers random voltages that fries the boards. I had a HTPC case and the original PSU that came with it went out so I purchased a cheap new one right here, big error. I paid the price by losing 3 unique motherboards to this PSU, in a span of virtually 3 years. So that's one particular board a year, and I don't overclock or something either. The reason I got this was mainly because I bought a HTPC case and it only takes MicroATX energy supplies. You get what you spend for when you get this. I'd rather you place the a bit much more funds in a superior PSU then this 1.

It's dirt low cost and silent... that's about it. It barely lasted ten mins when it lastly decided to kick the bucket. Created a funky odor the complete time as well! Newegg rocks!! I orded this along with an ATI X800GTO on a Tuesday morning, paid a small fee for the rush processing, and the package was delivered to me the following day! And that's with the "three" day cost-free shipping! How great is that?

Affordable and had a excellent energy rating for a microATX Didnt fit into micro case in exact same way as old provide did. Had to adjust case to fit it. Worked fine without any issues for two months now. Slight function to get into case due to how incredibly modest it is in comparison to the original PS I had. Smaller gap at base of PS from rear of case but nothing worth acquiring upset more than. An all round very good PS.

Works as expected. Not as quiet as I hoped, not as noisy as I feared. If I listen closely I can clearly hear it 20 feet away in the next room. But it's not as bad as the original 100W Bestek. Also the sound elements are not as annoying.

This effortlessly replaced an HP micro ATX power provide. No need to have to worry about model numbers, as extended as you have a tiny PSU to replace in an HP. Comes with a power cable, even though low cost it may be. Quite good price for decent gear. It was a tight fit. Screw holes barely lined up. Got two of three screws in. It will be fine though. Could be HP's design. Power cable is inexpensive. There is no challenging power switch in the back. As a person stated, this unit does both 110v & 220v with some leeway. It is a quite superior replacement for micro-ATX HP/Compaq computers.

Powers my HTPC Athlon X2 just fine. I read the critiques and bought with caution; maybe I got luck but it operates just fine. Shape of the PSU didn't fit perfectly in my case; a tiny tin snips to my case's assistance beam fixed that. Not sure what the MicroATX PSU specification says about that but the fan sticks out more than my old P4 uATX suppy did. Yeah, it's a gamble. I'm operating a lightly loaded system (single difficult drive, dvd burner, GeForce 7050 motherboard with only a firewire card in a pci slot), so perhaps that's helping me.

Totally gutted and rebuilt an older eMachines mini-tower for common computing Pc in the basement playroom/office space employing this PSU. This fit perfectly into the mini-tower, added a great wattage requirement and runs a heck of a lot quieter than the sub-regular unit eMachines delivered. While I am not employing the function, it is great to see a SATA connection on a micro-ATX unit. I have only had in for a couple of days so will give it 4 egg rating for now since I have no data on longevity however. As usual, Newegg's distribution is second to none as it arrived the day after I ordere d it. Basically awesome. None to report provided the newness of my set up.

SATA energy connector Ƒ), operates fantastic Main con is the fan. As other people have reported, the fan extends from the PSU enclosure, creating a tight fit or not usable in most micro situations. I was not capable to essentially mount it as the fan hit the back of the I/O board. An external energy switch would have been nice as effectively.

Low-cost...MicroATX w/ high wattage. It didn't fry the mobo when it died. Died in ɚmin. Flimsy almost everything. Doesn't fit right in a lot of microATX circumstances. I purchased this pondering, wow wonderful wattage and inexpensive! I got it, plugged in. At very first I noticed it didn't fit suitable. Then I noticed it was fairly light and flimsy. I figured, whatever, it was inexpensive. Then I plugged it in. The fan spun for 2 sec, then stopped. Strange smell followed, then clicking sound. I shutoff the power plugged it in only to the mobo...absolutely nothing...not even onboard lights. Then I plugged in only to CD Drive...light blinked then absolutely nothing. It was affordable, so I figured it would die soon, but not that soon.

Its challenging to find a micro atx energy supply that can drive much more than 250W , this is one of the couple of that do. This is a switched power supply so there is no transformer and other than the fan - no moving parts. Quite cheaply place together and I am suspicious of its extended term reliability (see item below in other thoughs)this is not a True uATX size due to the fan sticking out from the side. Based on how tight your case is, this may possibly not fit. I put this in my Ahanix HTPC case and it would not fit. Lastly I had to use a metal cutter to cut out the fan casing and jury rig the fan in the hole. The unit is really noisy.A handful of nights ago we had a energy outage. The Computer is generally on and fed by a UPS, which shut it down. Soon after the power returned - for some cause the method would not boot and it seemed like the power provide had some sort of thermal shutdown. I left it alone overnight and almost everything has been working because then.

If you've ever worked with "micro" format parts then you know that there is no space to spare and correct fit and screw hole allignment is important. This PSU was the precise appropriate size for the Velocity Micro desktop that needed it and the cables had been just ideal in length. there is nothing attractive about a base line PSU specially in the "micro" format which are normally low on overall performance. None that I could figure out. These are all but impossbile to locate locally so if like me you want 1 to fix an office laptop or computer and thus "need it now" then you have to spend for rapid shipping. This is not a dig on Newegg which is why it's listed here and not in cons. If your office makes use of these and there no longer below a rapidly turnaround warranty, then I reccomend you obtaining a spare to have on hand, at this value it just makes sense.

It fit into my MicroATX Barebones situation!! Affordable price point, Stilling operating powerful off and on because 06񳏉. Makes a tiny noise when it is operating. Runs a DVD player, 80gig HD + 120gig HD, in AMD dual core mediacenter Pc. Use to run a single core AMD machine non-cease. Didn't count on substantially but has been sturdy. Makes some noise due to the fact it has such a little fan so rpm's have to be larger. Not going to knock it a egg for that.

It doens't fit my situation very properly, but the only other alternative was to have a power supply made. I was replacing a propietary PS. It runs my Computer just like it need to. It doesn't fit a sony viao perfectly. Often simpler to repair a computer system you built in the first place.

Just what the medical doctor ordered for the blown out PS. I don't consider it's the power sources fault but i did have to grind a fin down a fraction of a millimeter to make it fit in there. Not an concern for me though so lengthy as it worked lol I'm not paid to think. (lol)
