Looks good As other individuals have skilled, I get a loud hum, possibly 60Hz while connected to my Pc. Doesn't matter what volume level--if it's on there is a loud hum. The bass control in fact seems to impact it--greater bass = much less hum, but nevertheless awful. If input not hooked to Pc, no hum, but not terribly helpful that way. Also, the speakers are a bit tall--for multi-monitor setups, you could want to look at this depending on how close you like your monitors to be together and exactly where you spot the speakers (e.g. 1 in amongst the monitors?) I'm an electrical engineer and can't figure out why this would possibly take place. My great old Cambridge Soundworks set works fantastic on same power strip/system--zero hum. Not confident but if I'll try a return--going to try some other sources and see if it operates for anything I might want to hook it up to.

Cost and styling is about all I can say that is fantastic about these speakers. If you enjoy bass and don't care about anything else, then these are for you. I do like the headphone jack on the side of the satellites and will be working with it a lot so it disables the speakers. Sound high quality is Incredibly unbalanced. The satellite speakers have incredibly poor sound high quality. If you are an even somewhat discerning listener, you will be disappointed. Also, the very first set I received were negative and had to be returned for electrical issues. I purchased these to replace some cheap Altec ษ speakers I purchased 5 years ago. Immediately after setting these up, I am very disappointed and will be placing these on my basement computer system that gets extremely tiny use. I am keeping the Altecs on my primary computer.

This issue pumps out some severe bass. Volume and bass manage on the correct satellite is (IMO) a plus instead of a separate remote/on back of sub. I listen primarily to high top quality electronic music (trance, house, dubstep, and so on) and these play anything nicely. They match my black and silver monitor. When I took the left speaker out of the box, I heard some smaller rattle as if there was a tiny piece of broken plastic moving about inside. At very first I believed "Oh wonderful, I guess I'm another unlucky 1". (after reading so numerous reviews and deciding this buy would be a gamble) But whatever it is, it doesn't appear to impact it. Except for the little piece of who knows what that's loose in the left speaker, which doesn't affect it's overall performance, my set came with no difficulties. But I nevertheless have a problem. I reside in apartments with neighbors above me. If I have the bass much more than 1Ǚ, it goes through the walls. It is not against the wall or directly touching sitting on the ground. The headphone jack is good, but I'd rather just plug into my sound card so I can use the mic also.I consider these are wonderful speakers, it's a shame men and women get bad sets. Fifty nine bones for some tweets is fantastic.

Wonderful Bass, particularly for the size of the system.RCA inputs are fantastic for connecting an further source such as a video game console.Sound excellent general is quite excellent.Velcro straps on each cord to keep away from cables hanging everywhere. Mid-range sound is not up to the same quality as the low-end bass.Does not appear to be a very reputable item. (See other thoughts) Based on other critiques stating they had troubles or ended up with a DOA unit as properly as my personal expertise, I am only giving 3 eggs to what I would otherwise take into account a 5 egg item.My unit seemed to work fine for a few days. I then noticed that there was no audio coming from the correct channel for the initial 8 to 10 minutes that audio was getting played via them, even if they were left powered on. The audio problem occurred when connected to any device and also happened on headphones which I connected. Thankfully, Newegg is taking care of the concern as they always do when a thing goes incorrect.

Good sound, smaller package, good price tag, Logitech high quality. I seem to be another victim of the crackling noises. It appears to be a loose/broken connection in the RS-232 (form element at least, I highly doubt it's utilizing serial protocols) connection. Whenever I wiggle that, I get popping/crackling noises like it's loose and/or shorting. As long as the cable stays still, it doesn't crackle. I only use these in my bathroom (shower/bath music) anyway, so it doesn't even bother me. For the (minimal) value I paid, it's not worth sending them back to fix something that doesn't even bother me. General, I'm satisfied. I'd acquire one more set.

Like this speaker set. I barely have to bump the bass up to hear a noticeable distinction in music high quality. When placing it at max I really feel like I'm going to vibrate into liquid. For the price it's gotta be the best deal I could have gotten, thank you newegg for often pleasing me. It tends to make me want to acquire an additional set for my tv :(

A great sound for a low-cost value. So far, I love every little thing about this program. It's not too huge and cumbersome, it has easy controls on the front, and the bass has a opening on the bottom to drive your neighbors crazy. And, as often, Newegg offered a excellent deal with quick and cheap shipping. Leading notch! None so far. If you're frugal like myself, I'd recommend purchasing this method for a great sound.

Sleek look and great sound for the most portion. The sub can't manage some lows, but for the price tag these are truly excellent speakers. None. They ship in the original Logitech box, but no worries; these issues are packed safe and sound. Got mine with no issues at all even although the box was a small dinged up.

BASS. I adore BASS! if you tweak your EQ just proper, you will get it nice and clear. Not over powering either, and not wimpy. I had Creative 2.1 setup, but when you add in this down-firing sub, it actually alterations the game. The rear firing speakers on the desktop also make a enormous difference. Also, These issues sound Good when playing BC2!! None genuinely. They respond effectively to a well EQ'd method. So as other individuals stated, if you can balance your iTunes EQ just suitable, the sound is great. All in all, Very pleased.

Does sound great when it works Loud humming for (apparently) really a handful of folks. I did some testing with different systems, with hum in all scenarios. I then focused on the speaker unit itself and identified that placing pressure on the 9 pin DB connector can clear up the noise problem, so a single or much more pins in that connector aren't generating good contact in the 'normal' insertion. Utilizing a DB9 extension cable helped very a bit, but some residual hum was still there, so the ideal scenario is for me to (gently/slightly) bend the pins in the connector so that when inserted it tends to make solid contact. Not ideal for positive, but possibly much better than paying to ship back when it only expense โ in the first spot. And as an engineer, I don't consider I'd ever use DB9 connector for audio I/O, particularly on the subwoofer which clearly will be vibrating when used.

Nice sound. Also has an auxilliary rca audio input back subwoofer for another device. Also has three.5mm jack on 1 of the satellite speakers. I have purchased alot of these for our school district. But this year, I have had 3 of the 8 units I bought DOA. Nothing but a giant hum, and the power light half lit. I purchased these from 2 unique vendors and they both had at least 1 bad method. It appears top quality manage is lacking right here. Fantastic speaker method if you get a working one.

Most importantly as with any speaker program - the SOUND is fantastic. Wonderful bass, nice highs, but ideal of all it does not sound "muddled-in-the-middle". Several inexpensive computer speakers sound muddled to me when playing games, even if music sounds ok. We got these 90% for game play and they deliver. Have to make confident my son keeps them turned down. none Great connections (PC and XBOX attach simply) - multi inputs were a essential element for us. Sound is significantly much better than expected at this price point. Base is rich and the sound effects in games (music, trailers, blasts, screams, etc.) all sound excellent. Seriously added a dimension to our game play.

I've been looking for a budget computer speaker system for the bedroom and have gone through 3 sets now and settled on these - not because they sounded the best, but simply because they offered the best value at the price I paid.First, the sub is surprisingly pretty good. With just a 4" down-firing driver and 6.5" non-powered passive radiator in a fairly small sealed box with just 21w going to it, it hits pretty hard and can go pretty low. I actually turned it down from the 12 o'clock position that it was on to about 10-11 o'clock as I felt it was overpowering everything else. The sub in the Edifier M3300SF (one of the sets I've purchased) has a 6.5" driver with 30w, but it was a little underwhelming despite it's specs. Each satellite has two identical 2" dome drivers, one facing the front and one facing the back for a "3D sound" experience, but I think that's rather gimmicky and doesn't really add anything in most cases. The lack of tweeter makes the sound kind of flat in the mid-high frequencies. If Logitech would've went with a 2-way design with a dedicated tweeter, it would make the sound more dynamic and the high frequencies wouldn't sound as muffled. As usual with Logitech, the build quality is good. It's just too bad that Logitech continues to go with one-way speaker designs as it would turn this set from good to great. These are not audiophile speakers by any means, but they should sound good enough for most people.Other sets I've purchased were the Cyber Acoustics 3602 and the Edifier M3300SF. I returned the CA 3602 speakers because there was rattling noise in the left satellite, so the build quality didn't seem quite as good as Logitech or Edifier.Overall, I preferred the sound of the Edifier M3300SF, but they cost $22 more. If they were even 10-15 more, I would've kept the Edifiers instead.Build quality - 4.5/5Sound quality - 3.75/5Value (at the price I paid) - 5/5Overall - 4/5 (not based on average) This review was modfied by poster @ 12-28-11 04:32 PM

Quality SoundSleek DesignGreat Everyday UseWell-Designed Lengthy Cords (This may be a pro for some individuals, but for me they tend to just get in the way) The bottom of the speakers have rubber that makes them stay on your desk very properly. I like this because it makes them very sturdy and difficult to accidentally knock about. The volume and base adjusting knobs are in an easy-to-access and in a practical location. Overall, I highly advised these speakers - the bass is truly pleasing and overall performance is the model of perfection.

Speakers sound as if you have a center channel, Woofer is LOUD!, mid range sound reproduction is good for a desktop system. Speakers appear nice perfectly match my Asus monitors. Volume knob is touchy either no sound or to loud cant seem to discover that correct median for those late night gaming sessions so I control via the use of audio driver. Think it's a bit overpriced so 1 egg off for that Even with the touchy knob and higher cost I'm nonetheless pleased with this acquire.

The interface is nicely designed, what with the bass manage correct next to the volume and the headphone jack on the side. Aesthetically pleasing. The subwoofer was excellent. Step 1. Connect speaker methodStep two. Turn on speaker systemStep 3. Turn off speaker technique to shut off the deafening humming noise. Step 4. Location speaker system in trashcanStep 5. Choose up ฝ speakersStep 6. Profit. I spent a excellent deal of time fiddling with the wires to get rid of the hum but it came back in full force the next morning. Having your speakers humming loudly when nothing is being pumped by means of them is unacceptable. I do not recommend this product.

I purchased these speakers on sale for 贄. They have been properly worth the investment. They are what you would anticipate out of a fantastic solid set of desktop speakers. No they aren't going to amaze you with sound but they are powerful crisp and clear. I do like the 360 degree sound feature, handier than you could feel at very first. None so far Properly worth the money. Simple, elegant and successful.

Overall superior sound constant hum when unit is turned on, if you are not playing music you will hear the hum. I have attempted securing my connections with no success. If I hold the input connection to the sub at the proper angle the hum goes away. Appears others are having the same challenge

Sound wonderful. Appear pretty. I'd take into account the ๳ retail, but they're generally on sale when I look...I jack my phone directly into them at times, that's convenient. Woofer and R/L speakers not "balanced" and take some initial tinkering to get that excellent sound for the price. Then I realized some people like/need heavy base... I tag the cable ends of anything anymore. Actually, "Brubeck in Amsterdam" sounds excellent at volume... you can fairly much hear the players grinning....

I love the speakers. I paid 赀 for a pair of Klipsch speakers from a different vendor (BB ) that were no much better than this. If you insist on blasting your years out with 200 W get them. If you want great sound from your PC get these Now I have to take the other people back. This is your personal computer. You require truly very good speakers for your stereo. These will do admirably!
