I bought it for a mini tower that doesn't have any PCI slots for a PCI wireless card. I live in a 2 story small town house, my wireless router is in the basement and the usb is at the second floor, and the best I could get is a fair connection, but not consistent! my 5 year old daughter uses it, so I'm not very concerned as long as it brings all of the kids games and cartoons working.

I bought this for windows 7, 64-bit. It gave me an error and would not install. I got on my other computer and got on the Linksys web site and downloaded a patch. Linksys shows exactly how to install the patch. Followed the directions step by step and it works great. Great price for the product!!!

This adapter works fine in XP machines but has some major driver issues with Vista and Windows 7. According to tons of blog sites these are known issues and nobody one knows why Linksys hasn't fixed yet. I love Linksys products but very disappointed in this item.

I bought this to replace the wireless card in my wife's netbook which kept dropping the connection. It was easy to install, worked the first time, and she hasn't complained about a dropped connection since.

Iv got Fios in the home excellent wireless coverage. This adaptor is Choppy to say the least. I play wow and char's are stop and go ping performance suffers greatly Do not chose this for gaming. surfing the next it does the same thing.

It's hard to beat this price, But! The performance does not match the Netgear USB model I was using. The refurbished Linksys USB performance is unsatisfactory. It constantly drops my connection and freezes up.

I'm always skeptical about recertified products and their ability to function like new. The displayed picture shows the model in Black. I got the Silver one. It's slightly larger but functions well. Set up was easy. Just insert the CD and follow on screen directions. It's been three weeks already since installed. So far so good.

Got 2 of these thinking a name like linksys stands for something, Well from 20 ft. from router fastest speed 3.0Mbps back bedroom 300kbps Not much better than dial up! Don't waste your money Buy netgear's WPN111. If you still buy setup was easy.

I bought this to replace a Netgear USB adapter that was not working as well as it should and since I have a Linksys router, figured I stay with the brand. It connected with my Linksys router instantly on installation (once security key was entered) and had FIVE green bars, excellent connection. It has not dropped once since install. And it reconnects quickly if router or other computer reboots. The only drawback was there is not really a configuration page that you can bring up to check connection, or change security key.

i recently purchased 2 of these and am very happy, it is compatable with windows 7, the driver is at the linksys site, there are two drivers there a version 1 (that does not work with this one) and a version 3, thats the one you need.

I have been using this product with out any issues what so ever! easy set up and very reliable! i have used other brands and i keep coming back to linksys for a reason! Other products just dont last. Linksys products do!

I have a TP-Link router set up in the house. My son has a computer in a travel trailer about 120 feet away. His laptop connects to the net, but this USB adapter did not work on his desktop. Maybe I expected too much. A Hiro PCI wireless adapter does seem to work in this situation.

This is the easiest thing to set up ever!!! It took me 2 minutes to have a really fast connection with my router. It is worth more than the price.

Don't believe what you read, this product is not Windows 7 compatible, per manufacturer's tech support. I would not have purchased this adapter but this site
