Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:cord freyed [cosmetic], but Logitech sent me a new one no questions

Pros:Reliable, responsive, customizable, feels good man
Comment:
Awesome mouse. Best I've ever used. Lots of buttons and lots of control over those buttons. Also, you get to customize how heavy the mouse is with included weights. Very cool. The cord eventually freyed [just a cosmetic problem]. Called up Logitech and they sent me a new mouse no questions asked.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:- None that I can really think of

Pros:- Weight adjustments- DPI adjustments - Versatile mouse wheel- Plenty of buttons- Good ergonomics, comfortable- Good build quality
Comment:
I always loved my old MX1000, not because it had great precision, considering it was one of the first laser mouse and had many issues on that part, but for it's ergonomics and weight.I'm glad to see that Logitech pretty much mixed the great features of the MX1000 and G5 together, making one very solid gaming mouse. You can easily adjust its weight, as well as the DPI on-the-fly. I prefer a "palm grip", so I found the mouse to be comfortable; it has a good size and the rough texture on it made the mouse less "sticky" (which was an issue for me with the G9). Very good quality mouse overall.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:* None

Pros:* Great build quality* Looks excellent* On the fly DPI adjustments* On board memory to store profiles* Mouse wheel switches from free scrolling to clicky* Plenty of buttons* Adjustable weight* Comfortable to hold
Comment:
I upgraded from the G5 to the G500 because I wanted the extra mouse buttons. During my use of the mouse I have found plenty of other things about the mouse that make it great. In particular I love having the ability to change the mouse wheel from being free scrolling to clicky. This allows me to use the mouse comfortably while doing office work while being able to simply hit a button to change the scrolling to clicky for gaming. The customizable DPI settings make it very easy to use the mouse in everything from high speed gaming, to office work and even high precision tasks.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:-Weird design

Pros:-Onboard memory-Scroll wheel
Comment:
I bought this on sale to replace my razer deathadder. I personally found this mouse uncomfortable at first, but after changing my grip, it has been very comfortable since. The onboard memory helps a lot when switching profiles as it's done internally within the mouse and no data has to be sent over USB, this means there is no lag or delay for when you can start using the mouse again.

Ordered one of these to replace my G5. It's basically the same, but has a few upgrades: extra button (on side), sensitivity +/- buttons in better spot, scroll wheel can be unlocked for free-rotating.All-in-all, a very good mouse. Ordered a second one for my little brother.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Terrible scroll wheel, bad software

Pros:Nice feel, good built quality, good sensor
Comment:
I had this for 7 days before I had to return the product. The scroll wheel is very loose and you can feel it moving from side to side. This is with the hyperscrolling off. A bit too loose for my liking.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Not much, other than there was a odd squeaky noise on the left clicker. It seems to be much louder than the right button, so I'm currently in process with Logitech to discuss if I can RMA for a new one.SetPoint is kinda crappy.

Pros:Great features, nice scrolling, nice placement of buttons on the left side of the mouse. Everything is quite reachable.
Comment:
I've had this mouse for about two days, and I must say its worth the 50 dollars I paid for it on sale. It feels great, very comfortable, and makes me have faster responses when playing games.Easily customizable, but the bundled software SetPoint is kinda junk. Doesn't work well.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:None

Pros:Weight Adjustable, USB cord pliable, Appearance, Mouse Speed Adjustable on Fly, Scroll Wheel Speed Adjustment on Button.
Comment:
I won this in an NCIX Sweepstakes Contest and couldn't be happier with this mouse. It comes with a tin filled with 6 4.5gram and 6 1.7gram weights so you can adjust the momentum of the mouse. Weights are inserted into the mouse via a removal tray and snapped back in. I like the fact the mouse feels heavy in my hand and with the addition of having the cursor speed located on 2 buttons just off the side of the left click button my sniping skills just took a boost in kill ratio's. Overall I'm very happy with this mouse...it replaced a previous USB corded Logitech mouse so all is good.

One of the best mouse i have used. I bought this one after my old g5 stopped working (my fault) and it's awesome however if you have the older generation i would tell you stick with it not much of a difference as far as i have noticed while gaming.

Comment:
I've had this mouse for a little bit now and so far I love it, absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. Best mouse I have ever owned by far. The adjustable weight is very nice as i like my mouse to be on the heavy side and others I know like it to be feather light. I love the back and forward buttons just for pure simplicity and ease, and changing the sensitivity on the fly works wonders too. It's definitely worth the price as I know it will last me for years to come.

Logitech G500 Black Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Not a fan of the braided cord.Scroll wheel is a little 'loose' for click-to-click weapon changing.

Pros:Seems to work well for both palm- and claw-grips.More than enough buttons for the average gamer.Adjustable DPI can come in handy.Good for gaming and general computer use.
Comment:
I bought this mouse to replace my first generation G5, and I'm happy I made the switch.First we'll start with that pissed me off about the G5. First, for some inconceivable reason, Logitech granted it with only 1 thumb button. I use key binding system for weapon switching in games, and this totally screwed with it. I adapted eventually, but outside of gaming, this removed the ability to navigate forwards in firefox or windows explorer. The G500 has both restored the missing button and granted a third. I have yet to use it to its full potential, but after a few hours of using the mouse there's no mixup when trying to find the one you're looking for. Second, the mouse wheel on the G5 felt imprecise at best. It's hard to figure out exactly what was wrong with it, but the G500 mouse wheel feels better to me. It can be a little tricky to not overshoot in click-to-click scrolling, but I don't use the scroll wheel for selecting weapons anyways. Switching to free scrolling is nice for long documents and pages, but removes some of the tactile feedback and control. The braided cable from the G5 makes its return, and I'm not a fan of it. It's more stiff and gets kinks easier than the cord on, say, the old mx500 or mx518, and it seems to get in the way more often than not for me. Fortunately, once you have a good cable management system in place, it's of little issue. One thing I was worried about when purchasing the G500 was the weight. I thought the fancy scroll wheel and other tech would weigh it down. I used the G5 without any weights at all as I prefer a very light mouse. To my surprise, the G500 seems to be even lighter than the G5! I used a cooking scale, and it weighed in to be about 10g lighter on average (depending on how the cord was held). The rest of the mouse is very similar to the G5, and that is to say, it's perfect. The grip seems to be a little more sand-papery, and the buttons are perhaps ever-so-slightly stiffer, but that may be a result of the wear and tear on the G5 that I'm comparing it to. The only thing stopping me from using this for all computing is that I also own an MX Revolution, which I use for browsing etc because of the thumb wheel that I use for media controls. All-in-all, I would recommend this over all other logitech mice that I own for gaming. I've never used a mouse from Razer or other companies, so that may be up for debate, but I have no problems with this mouse.
