Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Comment:
This mouse is 'okay'. There's no way that it is worth a hundred bucks though. The best features are the sensitivity switching, customizable LED display colour (theres so many colours!!!) the hyper scrolling, and maybe the grip, or lack of? The worst feature is the weight tuning system. If I wanted weights, I'll buy a wireless mouse thanks. Another bad feature of the mouse is the way it fits in my hand. It is far from ergonomic, so much that I want my old microsoft mouse back, and it was a POS. Gaming with a mouse requires it to be lifted and repositioned ALL THE TIME to be able to snap around and get those headshots. It took some getting used to being required to lift the mouse over 2-3 inches as to not move my screen in the wrong direction while it is being repositioned. The lack of ergonomic handles also makes this a pain, as it feels like the mouse is going to slide out of my grasp as I lift it. This mouse is mediocre for the price. The weight system is a joke.YMMV

i've had this mouse for about 4 hours, i'm a competetive counter-strike player, and i got this to replace my month old saitek cyborg, cuz it sucked balls. pretty much what everyone says is true, it's a great mouse, i just wanted to point out the few negative things that are easy to overlook. i'd like to see joe blow buy this mouse and use it's functions, he'd kill himself after months of trying to figure out how to setup the profiles and navigate all your options with this:l l lthat's all you get, is 3 bars for options, and you control all the settings using those 3 bars, wanna know how? read that page in your manual over and over again until you get it, i recommend a chair and a bucket to pee in, cuz you'll be there for awhile. and this software doesn't even come with the mouse, you have to d/l it, which you wouldn't know unless you read the manual, so the software is pretty flexible, does alot, but putting the 30+ functions into l l lsucks. lastly, and i didn't expect this, the mouse has a cover, both covers are loose when you lock them down onto the mouse, so the inner part shakes around inside, like a mm of space in between for it to rattle around as you move it left and right, really quite brutal, i had to stick a folded piece of paper in there to stop it. bottom line, buy this mouse, or the razer lachesis if you're into that, they're good mice, they do good things, just dont' think you will be problem free, and NEVER buy a saitek mouse :)

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Feels stranger than the previous G5's

Pros:Very light! Awesome programming control, very high sensativity
Comment:
I kinda like this, it seems like a new toy, very light and easy to move. Once you get your hands on it, you wont let it go away !The only problem is that it can contain shells (depends on the structure of your hand) There are two which comes with it, the wide and the slim. I choose the wide to fit the same feeling of the G5, but you can hear it tap the sides, but you will get used to it.

Cons:-0 so far, although a wireless version would be amazing.

Pros:-3200 dpi-Interchangeable grip-Got it on sale-Great scroll wheel-Fantastic feeling buttons-OMG NO FREEZING!
Comment:
I have owned this mouse for 3 weeks, and as a competitive Counter Strike player, this was a large step up from my last mouse G7.This mouse solved my problems freezing, has a 1000hz frequency, a fantastic precise grip (don't use the chunky one, although it is comfortable for surfing), and a miniscule coefficient of friction. This mouse uses the Claw stance which was originally featured in the Fatal1ty series mice. That mouse was fantastic as well, but had major design flaws which caused them to break down. The claw stance works great for precise gaming, giving me an edge over my competition, allowing me to aim in any direction as precise as I can.The weights are essentially useless, but I just max it out so I get a good precise feel when I am doing my hand reflexes and quick-scopes.Extremely comfortable for extended gaming sessions, although it takes a couple days to get used to.This was a definite upgrade from my freezing G7 (which wasn't bad by any means), and am thoroughly satisfied with the sale I got on NCIX for it ($66!!!!).I would highly recommend this mouse for any gamer looking to "up the ante" on their gaming abilities.I would rate this a 6/5 if I could, just because it was so darn cheap. Thanks NCIX!

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse works great for any games like Fallout 3 or Call of Duty. For us on the internet, just videos or word it is a waste of money. Speed option on the mouse is very handy.

Moved up to this from a well loved but worn-out G5. This thing oozes quality - like a mouse built by BMW. I didn't like the "fat" grip so I swapped it for the included "precise" one...that's what so great about this mouse, you can make it your own with endless customization.

Comment:
I got this mouse for christmas to replace my five dollar cheap plastic HP mouse, and the improvement is astronomical. I play a lot of FPS and I could never snipe before. The DPI switching makes it so much easier to score sniper kills. Also, the picture tiger has of this mouse doesn't do it any justice. This mouse looks amazing. The only fault I find with it is that the mouse wheel is supposed to click side to side as well as straight down, but it doesn't seem to register. Other than that I love this mouse.

Pros:Functionality, ease of use, quality.

I really find it odd that so many people find the look of this mouse repulsive because I love the way it looks. It's sleek, has a nice finish and adjustable weight. Works flawlessly so far and had no problems. I simply can't find anything wrong to say about this mouse except for the original price is pretty steep. Half price on sale though and you can't go wrong.

I bought this mouse about a month ago and love it. I play mostly Counterstrike and the change on the fly dpi settings are great. The response to mouse movement is phenomenal. The mouse glides nicely across the mousepad and the interchangeable weights make customizing the feel of the mouse a breeze. The larger grip is comfortable for hours of gaming. I highly recomend this mouse for gaming.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:middle button is really stiff

Pros:Customizable and a lot of buttonsAccurateSmooth for FPS games (1000Hz polling rate)
Comment:
This mouse is extremely customizable, it comes with two interchangeable grips and weights. It also has a high polling rate, going up from 125Hz to 1000Hz, movements in FPS games are a lot smoother and less choppy. It is very accurate as well allowing precision at high sensitivity settings. The drivers are also pretty easy to use, self explanatory and the profile settings are saved in the mouse which is awesome. The only downside to it is the really stiff middle button, it is so stiff that sometimes when I use it in games, I end up scrolling up or down on the wheel because of the excess pressure. Moreover, the ergonomics of this mouse is not as relaxed as the G5, it always feel as if you are ready to aim/snipe so it makes an excellent gaming mouse, but if you are not gaming perhaps you should look for a mouse with more relaxed ergonomics.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:On mine the shell seems to extend a little bit too low on one side and thus drag ever so slightly against the mouse pad (a little sanding fixes that :P )

Pros:Ergonomic for those who control the mouse with the ends of their fingers. That's a huge plus. Forward/back buttons in right place, scroll wheel very useful.
Comment:
I switched to this from a Razer Diamondback which died on me and Razer didn't want to help me with. I've also used Logitech's classic 'bean' shaped mice including the MX-518. Those tend to hurt my wrist after long periods of use. Immediately after switching to this mouse, my wrist pain was gone. This is clearly the best feature of the mouse for me. I control the mouse with the tips of my fingers, and this mouse suits me very well for that.

Comment:
I bought this mouse as a replacement for my saitek gm3200 mouse which kept disconnecting on me and I haven't regretted it. Logitech's customer service is top notch and so is this mouse. It has two replaceable grips, one for people with sweaty hands like me, or a wider grip for people with bigger hands. It's also very highly customizable with adjustable dpi profiles, color of the LED on the mouse, etc. Overall, there are very few mice that can beat this for the sale price.

My old G5 was still good but i thought I'd get a new mouse this year, so I debated which of the two to get, G5 SE (with 2 thumb buttons) or the G9. The features of the G9 are the best out there and the ergonomics are pretty good, although not as good as the G5.

We bought 3 of these mice - all for serious gamers and we LOVE them. No grip issues and the customization of the mouse is wonderful - would totally recommend this even if it cost more. The mice have been very durable and just a joy to use - I would have given them 6 stars if that had been an option.

Comment:
I bought this mouse as a last minute decision over the Razer DeathAdder because I felt more confident in Logitech as I was currently using a MX-518. The price itself was very jaw dropping, but I had just finished selling an older computer build, and I felt if I disliked the mouse, I could sell to a friend to make some of the cash back. Upon receiving the mouse I found the "Wide load" body to be far better than the default. The DPI was a bit too high for my liking but was easily changed with the software (I can also change the LED colour in the software, and who doesn't love their shiny LEDs?). The thumb buttons are great in their position, are thin enough to be out of the way, and take a deliberate amount of pressure, making accidental clicking very rare. I found the weights to be very easily used and found 21g to be my favourite weight. On the bad side of things, I found the outer coating on the Wide Load body to wear off extremely quickly from hand sweat (Over the course of 3 days, and some heavy CoD4 playing) and the Slick "feet" on the bottom of the mouse partially wore off (Mainly on the right side) within a month using the very smooth side of a Razer eXactMat. Another thing that bothered me was that the Scroll wheel lock (Used to switch between "clicky" scrolling and frictionless) is located under the mouse, making dynamic switching (Like alt-tabbing from a game where "Clicky" scroll is best, to a browser where I prefer frictionless) almost impossible to do fluidly, requiring me to lift the mouse and push the button between each use. Overall, for the price it's very good, but price matching down to

This mouse is so pretty I almost kept it just to have on my desk to look at! The unfrotunate downside though, for me, is the slickness of the mouse buttons themselves. My fingers have nothing to grip. The design of it in relationship to my hand, which may be shaped differently though it looks very normal, has my index finger actually in a position to push either button if my hand is lined up to have my thumb be able to hit either of the thumb buttons. The whole mouse seemed to be a slippery experience that was likely to fly out of my hand at any moment. I love the features and the interchangable hand grips. I think Logitech is on the right track, just for my hand, not there yet. They are Logitech, I am sure they will get it worked out. Until then I am back on a G5-G7. I have always used Logitech and love their mouses (mice) lol.
