Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Not quite the most aesthetically appealing mouse.

Pros:exchangable grips, plenty of customization available regarding macro's, weight and profiles
Comment:
I bought this one to replace an OLD microsoft one. It hasn't given me any trouble. After messing around with the weights and the grips for a while, I found out what I liked best and kept it. The available software for it isn't bad either.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Cost

Pros:So adaptable with weights and profiles
Comment:
For a mouse this is heaven. I love the grips as I form my hand like a claw to grab the mouse and this fits perfectly. Adjustable dpi on the fly is great too. For a top of the line mouse you can't get much better than this. If it was a little cheaper I would give it a 5/5 as the competition for this is cheaper.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Body can be a bit "noisy".

Pros:Highly customisable, very functional, cord is very soft (you can barely feel it).
Comment:
This mouse is very customisable. You can change its size, weight, and colour of LEDs. Despite it's rugged looks, I find it to be very comfortable and functional. I changed to this mouse from the cordless G7 and I can barely feel the difference with having a cord now. After a few months of use the larger size body started clicking as if it was loose, so I changed to the smaller body until I figure out what's going on. Would (and already have) recommend.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:It would be nice to be able to purchase additional grips.

Pros:Customizable, excellent feel, the two different types of scrolling and the high dpi.
Comment:
Overall I am very happy with this mouse and would highly recommend it to any gamer. Being able to adjust the dpi on the fly is an excellent feature and comes in handy on many fps' but probably the best feature of this mouse is the anti-sweat grip that really comes in handy when using mice in the summer. Well worth the money and honestly, who cares what the mouse looks like as long as it feels comfortable when your hand covers it.

Comment:
Been using Razer Deathadder, thought I'd try this G9 after hearing all the hype. Major problem: the mouse is too small, and the side buttons are too high. Used for two hours, tendonitis for two days. If you use the side buttons for leaning or whatever, avoid this mouse, Razer mice are much more ergonomic. Useless to me. I will go back to Razer.

Comment:
I am a professional gamer and having used a huge variety of mice including the Razer copperhead, I have to say this is the best one for me. some may argue that its too big and awkward, If this is the case then get a smaller mouse. This is my favourite mouse by far because I have a big hand and this mouse fits it perfectly.

I love this mouse. Have the DPI all the way up and this mouse moves so well for fast games like TF2. My only con would be the price but you are getting a good quality mouse.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:-lights generally look like basic colors, not what you selected

Pros:-interchangeable grips-high dpi-adjustable on the fly
Comment:
I love this mouse. The weight system was a huge improvement over my last Logitech mouse. It seems much more balanced now. Realistically 3200 dpi was far too much for my style of play, and I haven't found a use for the lowest dpi yet either. (But I'm sure there are uses for them). Still it's a great product.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Not Wireless.

Pros:Great construction. Exchangable grips. Lots of features.
Comment:
This is as perfect as a mouse gets with a cord. There's nothing this thing doesn't have, just look at the features section. The only thing that Logitech could do is to make it wireless. If this thing was wireless, it would probably cost 50% more but I could see more people jumping on it. Great mouse if you liked the old Wingman style of gaming mice.

Comment:
I've had the G-9 on my internet machine for over a month now. It is a great mouse. I would've initially hesitated to say so as a longtime Razer enthusiast, but this mouse is actually a little bit better than my Lachesis. I greatly appreciate the ability to play around with the weight, too, a feature that (if included) would've left the Razer product in first place. I definitely would like to agree with the last reviewer that snipers should tone it down with the DPI sensitivity settings if they want to stay on target.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:-braided cable is very very stiff (if you bend it, it stays in that position)-sometimes the weight cartridge has a tiny bit of 'play' while moving the mouse-only two different 'mouse grips' included....however there is option in future for more grips to be introduced.

Pros:-3-year limited warranty-Resolution: 200–3200 dpi (user-selectable)-Two custom grips (Wide Load and Precision)-Adjustable weight cartridge (included 4x4gram and 4x7gram) weights-only capable of housing up to 4 seperate weights in the weight chamber-SetPoint software - very easy to use, configure-onboard memory-dual-mode (clicking/smooth) scrolling wheel-profile software-Custom colour LED light to indicate current profile-HUGE wide/long mouse feet
Comment:
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT MOUSE..... A MUST HAVEI currently use a RAZER COPPERHEAD. Also a great mouse....however the LOGITECH G9 is way way way better. IMOThe G9 has a much different shape then the Copperhead; included two grips (Wide Load and Precision). This mouse is very comfortable using both grips. The user can change grips with just the push of a button on the rear of the mouse and then a slight lift of the grip. The setpoint software is very user friendly and the options are customizable. Comes pre-set with general/gaming/productivity PROFILES.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:-A little small compared to my MX-518 but ok once used to it-A little steep in price but you do get a lot for your money-HAS MAJOR ISSUES WITH F.E.A.R. COMING TO A CRAWL AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF PLAY. Known issue and my MX-518 never caused this. Grr.-Doesn't contain an app selection button like my MX-518 had. Not a big deal but still.

Pros:-VERY customizable-Newest Setpoint software makes tweaking this mouse a breeze-Very slick and easy to game with
Comment:
Got this mouse just because I wanted something new to play with. Didn't really need it but the though of going from 1600dpi optical to 3200dpi laser seemed like something worth trying out. The amount of customizing you can do to this mouse is amazing though I find stock weight and stock DPI settings just fine for my use. I like how the newest Setpoint software interfaces with the mouse. Being able to change the LED colour, as well as store profiles within the mouse itself is a very nice touch. It took a few days to get used to over my MX-518 but now that I am used to it the G9 clearly is a superior mouse with a great feel and handles well. I really wish the Logitech + FEAR issue would get solved however as this mouse makes FEAR now unplayable which never occured when I was using my MX-518 mouse. Get this on sale or PM to make it more worth your while.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:* NONE (I really tried to think of one)

Pros:* scroll wheel is AWESOME* SetPoint software is best-in-class* highly configurable (including weight adjustment)* VERY comfortable
Comment:
This is an excellent mouse. Some people say the mouse looks ugly. For one thing, I don't agree, it looks perfectly nice to my eyes. More importantly though -- isn't the appearance of the mouse the last thing you should be interested in??Here's what I think is important about a mouse (in no particular order):* "feels right" in your hand* has enough buttons -- and buttons are easily accessed* appropriate for both work and games* high quality software / drivers* build qualityThe G9 excels in all areas. I love everything about it, perhaps the scroll wheel is best of all, but honestly there is nothing about this mouse that is not excellent. The only thing I'd caution new owners of this mouse about: higher DPI isn't necessarily better. At 3200 DPI the mouse is very sensitive to even the slightest movement, which can make it difficult to put the mouse cursor where you want it. I'm currently using 1600 DPI for work. One more thing: I don't have particularly large hands, but the mouse still fits comfortably in my hand.Bottom line: BUY IT!! Buy it RIGHT NOW!!! Cons:-doesn't have the smartwheel feature (have to manually switch)-side scroll buttons are low feedback-no grips availble at this time-setpoint cant load profiles from mouse

Pros:-onboard memory-easy profile switching (sofware or no software)-good button placement (thumb doesnt need to strain)-support for additional/replacement/3rd party grips-highly custimizable

I bought a razer lachesis (my first razer) and I hated it. I have used the MX1000 in the past and loved but was forced to the old body style of the G5/G7 due to other reasons I wont get to here. Then I got the G9... wow! finally something different. I still prefer the feel of the MX1000 but this mouse brings so much more to the table. All the buttons are easy reached and used and are completely programmable with keystrokes and macro's. And to top it off you can save profiles to the mouse that you can switch to with the press of a button! And you can color code them so you know which profile you are one. this is a much better setup then the razer system of blinking lights and slow profile switching. I love the profile switching for dual booting OS'es and formatting all the time. I dont have to worry about resetting up all my macro's and keys for wow and other games. Its already there! Its nice to boot up to a fresh intall of windows and have my sensitivity settings already the way I like them :DYou might read some bad reviews from people but every bad review I have read is from ignorant people... they say that other mice have profile features while this one doesnt... but it obviously does so I have no idea what they are talking about.

I've been using the G9 for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it. It takes a few days to get used to, especially if you're serious about adjusting the weight. I began with one sleeve and ended up switching to the other, at which time I adjusted the weight. It doesn't have as many buttons as other mice, so if buttons is what you're looking for...find a different mouse. The on-the-fly sensitivity control is absolutely worth the $60 for the mouse! In-game Snipers will find decreasing the sensitivity a great way to more accurately follow enemy targets.

Cons:a little small for larger hands

Pros:adjustable dpi,changeable grip size

I purchased this to replace a logitech mx revolution. i want more precision and faster response.I recently purchase a new 24" widescreen monitor and couldnt get my mouse cursor to move across the screen fast enough. So i decided to buy the first corded mouse i had purchased in years. I am very impressed with this mouse , its very fast and precise. the on the fly dpi adjustment is a nice touch. only real complaint for me is it could use 1 more larger grip than the ones provided.its made a difference in my fps gaming over the mx revolution.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Small - not enough support for larger hands.Scrollwheel does not include smartscroll feature.

Pros:Adjustable weight.Good build quality.Tough cable.On-board memory for multiple mouse profile settings.Accurate.
Comment:
Good, responsive mouse, and onboard settings eliminate need for additional software when switching computers. I use mine as gaming and portable mouse and have settings for general work, gaming, and DJ'ing stored on the mouse -- very convenient.I hope they come out with bigger grips, as I'm used to the Revolution MX, which supports the middle of the palm much better. Not a great mouse for those who use the 'spider stance' of mousing rather than flat-handing it.

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200DPI USB2.0 1000HZ Weight Adjustable Black
Cons:Grip texture?

Pros:Adjustable weights, dual-mode (clicking/smooth) scrolling wheel, interchangeable grips, excellent quality/craftsmanship
Comment:
Honestly, I can't think of anything terrible to say about this mouse other than my gripe with the texture on the grips. Now, the 'precision' grip has a very nice rough plastic texture to it. Makes it real hard to get it out of a sweaty palm, which I appreciate. Now, the 'comfort' grip I like because of its wide base and more ergonomic contours, but it's got this sorta smoother feel to it. Not good for long CoD4 sessions. I was left cursing the Logitech Gods for not texturizing the wider grip. Seriously though, that is a minor detail. I have dreams about this mouse at night.

LOVE this mouse! Verry accurate and smooth in game play. Improved my accurcy in Counter Strike which helped alot. Profiles are handy and easy to manage. Software setup ease free. I have had this mouse for about a day now and I am a gamer enthusiast. This mouse is extremly good and the best mouse I have ever owned. I have had the mx500 mx510 mx 1000 and mx revolution. At first when I got the mouse out and plugged in it was very weird to handle but after about an hour it felt natural in my hand. the waiting system is very nice. I put in 2 7g and 2 4g. It is a farely light mouse compared to the revolution my previous mouse and I like the weight of the revolution and that about evened it up. It glides very well on my mouse pad and has 2 very nice grips I have tried them both and like the comfort grip more. I might use the precision grip if the room got very hot. and the mouse got slippery. all in all an amazing mouse very comfortable and very good accuracy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new mouse.
