Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:-Harder and Harder to find and buy-Buttons need to be worked in
Pros:-Fits hand perfectly-Configurable Buttons with software-Macros with software-Works on most surfaces Comment:
I have had this mouse forever, this is my third one. When my work one quits, I transfer my gaming one over and buy a new gaming mouse. I had the mouse for 4 years before it quit on me. Probably because I was using it for gaming and work, so now I have one for each and I hope expect them to last even longer |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Comment:
Awesome mouse, fits in the hand perfectly. Adore the on-the fly sensitivity adjustment and programmable buttons. The buttons have just the right amount of 'click' to them. Feels sturdy and well built None This is a replacement for 5 year old MX-518. They last and take lots of abuse (wife and kids beating on it continually). I also have a G9X, and although I prefer to use the laser mouse, the MX-518 is nonetheless a brilliant piece of work regardless of becoming an old model and still much more than holds it's own against even the present generation of mice. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:- None
Pros:- Price on sale- Solid design and construction- Very accurate and still 1 of the best mice out in the market Comment:
Have been using this mouse for a month now, I've been looking at this mouse for a long time and I keep missing sales of it. I finally got it and was not disappointed with the performance, blows the $10 Logitech mouse I was using before. Super accurate and it sit on your hand (or is it your hand sits on it) very well. Buttons are in the right places and are just enough for normal use. I would recommend this for sure to anyone. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:IMO no con's. my mx-518s have seen a lot of abuse and to this day they are still kicking
Pros:Mappable buttons, on the fly sensitivity adjustment. Comment:
in reply to the review posted by Courtney_M, the G5 is a much newer model than the mx518, she makes it sound like the 518 is supposed to be newer. I've been using my mx518 since it originally came out in 2005 as the original 1600dpi version, although I upgraded to the 1800-DPI version when it was released. I have tried the newer mouses out there and after 6 years of gaming with this mouse I don't intend on upgrading unless I can't buy another mx-518 |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:- shiny, chintzy shell- seams are too wide- tracks poorly compared to higher priced mice
Pros:- Better than a standard mouse in terms of dpi- nice form factor Comment:
The G5 that I replaced this with spoiled me. Even though they share the same form factor, the feel on the G5 was way better. The G5 had the weights which, though at first glance may seem gimmicky, actually gave the mouse a nice weight and balance, which the flighty mx518 lacks. The styling on the mx518 is chintzy with a cheap, shiny sticker backing. And to top it off, the optical tracking of the mx518 pales in comparison to the years old g5 laser. Spend the extra $20 and get yourself the g500. That's what I did, and I'm much happier. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:-price-button placement and the overall feel
Pros:-very sensitive and precise-appearance Comment:
I have never purchased a mouse at this price tag before so I only have basic, cheap mice to compare this to. 1800DPI is not the default setting and you have to use the included software to change it. Once you do, the sensitivity difference is definitely very noticeable. However, the mouse feels slightly bulky for my liking. Top sensitivity button above the wheel and the top side thumb buttons seem just slightly out of reach. This is personal preference though and it might not be an issue if you have longer fingers. Also, the top surface is very smooth and becomes slippery after prolonged use. It is a good mouse overall though and I feel encouraged by the long term reviewers who stand by its longevity. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:Right-handed only
Pros:Very ergonomicLow resistance clicks Comment:
Great mouse I've been using for about four years now. I had to replace my first one after 3 years when the left click wore out and required immense force to properly click. I am just over a year with my current mx518, and recently ordered another one for only thirty dollars with the recent NCIX sale, which I will use when this current one dies.Great optical mouse, one of the best ones out there and I highly recommend it to both casual and competitive gamers! |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Comment:
This mouse lasted me for about a year, and was superb although it lasted. Very good tracking, in no way any jittering or real troubles. Lasted for about a year. I unplugged it and attempted putting it in one more USB slot on the front of my case, which I guess broke it somehow, (although that could have been my fault). The scroll wheel feels very low cost, but you get employed to it immediately after awhile. Not to sound gross, but grime builds up about the outer edge of the mouse buttons, I By no means had this issue with my G5. This mouse can by no means match the way my G5 utilized to feel, but it's in all probability the ideal mouse you can get for its cost. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:For right handed users only
Pros:Comfortable, very sleek design. 1800dpi, reduces hand fatigue. Comment:
I've been using the Logitech wireless mouse for quite some time now. It worked well, but not that well enough for gaming programs (Preferably Starcraft 2). I went to NCIX to look at some gaming mice. After asking around, I decided to go with the MX-518, and boy, it did not disappoint! The feel of it was really comfortable, and it was WAY more sensitive than my wireless mouse. The buttons can get in the way, though, but I disabled the side buttons so everything is fine. I would recommend this mouse to everyone interested in gaming, however this mouse is for right-handed users only. |

Cons:Never get the joy of buying a new mouse.
Pros:Last forever. Seriously. Comment:
This mouse will last forever. No idea how the other reviewer has gone through 4? (Gamer rage?)I bought a MX 500 (earlier version) and it lasted 3 years. I got one of these to replace it and it's been going strong ever since. Also, it's comfortable and very accurate and buttons are well placed. Perfect mouse. |

Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
Cons:NONE!
Pros:I have had this mouse for over 6 years now!! That's the longest I ever kept a computer peripheral. Comment:
To further elaborate on the great quality of this mouse, I use it for everything from gaming (FPS, RPGs, etc...) to net browsing, and its still functioning the same way it did on day 1! Now 6 years later I dont see myself using anything else. In fact, if this ever does die on me one day, I will definitely get another one. The funny things is, the price hasnt changed much in over 6 years So if I cant convince you to buy it, maybe that will. Lots of other mice models came and went, and this one is still a top seller, for its perfect weight, easy to use precision settings, and great overall feel, all at a fair price. Great job Logitech on such an awesome product! |
Still using the first one i've got many years ago and i really like it!I've buy a new one (on NCIX for 29,99$) just in case the one i'm using die on me... i don't want to wait or use any other mouse. This one is perfect for me. I would recommand it, worth the price!
