Works good, click pad takes some time to get utilised to but certainly worth the get for any HTPC setup. My SetPoint application at times does not recognize the device, and I am then unable to use the shortcuts on the dinovo mini for opening up WMC. No cons with the device itself.

It's a fantastic style and notion for an HTPC keyboard/mouse. I really liked the dustcover each for its dust-protective purpose and due to the fact it obscured the truth that there was a keyboard/mouse on my coffee table. When it worked I was usually extremely content with it. Which leads me to the cons. 1st of all the first one particular I received was DOA. Very good client service and had a new one particular in brief order. It seemed fine at first but then I began to notice that it would regularly lose the connection with the bluetooth dongle (even even though it's a committed pre-paired dongle that is only for the DiNovo Mini). This would require either removing the battery and resetting the keyboard, or occasionally getting to get on my knees and awkwardly attain around and push the connect button on the dongle attached behind my HTPC. The more I utilised it the much more I realized how often this would take place. Many times I would pick it up to find it inoperable but just as typically I would be in the midst of using it and it slowly begin to quit functioning correct ahead of my eyes until it was no longer useable without having resetting it. Right after more than a year of dealing with it and continually getting frustrated by it (mainly simply because of how a lot it expense) I ultimately just threw it in the trash. I'll be hunting for a thing else. The Media Center remote mode genuinely isn't that valuable either, when the factor operates at all that is. I'm baffled by this, I've owned many Logitech devices more than the years and have often been pleased with them. In reality I'm making use of a Harmony 700 with my HTPC and I love it. This keyboard on the other hand is an high priced piece of junk.

Small, rechargeable battery, constructed in mouse, operates with a mac/pc even a ps3 although I've by no means made use of it with it. Fantastic for a media center personal computer. I use it with a Mac Mini and it's just what I necessary. It has two modes, media center and standard. The trackpad is clickable and will perform like arrow keys in media center mode, fabulous if utilizing Boxee for instance. I uncover myself switching back and forth based on the app I'm in. The battery lasts a really long time, on the order of months with each day use, it charges rapidly although, I in most cases plug it in overnight a couple times a year and that keeps it going. Want it had a dock for recharging, the charging cable falls behind my cabinet and it's pain to fish it out when it's charge time, but far from a big concern. Also it's a bit pricey. If you want a modest keyboard/mouse combo that doesn't take up space yet is completely functional and easy to use, this'll do.

Tiny and compact, amazing design for the living space. It completely compliments the overall style of the tech savvy living area. Regardless of what other reviews will probably say, it was highly responsive even in my Kitchen 35 feet away! Simple access to the core functions I definitely use my HTPC for (music/movies/minor net surfing). The only purpose I took a entire egg off the rating was becuase there was no trouble-free way to system significantly more hotkeys and/or no function keys. Typically I don't definitely look into this a big dilemma, but my most significant situation with that is I have no swift way of closing a plan (alt+F4 is fabulous!). This device isn't the quickest thing to variety on, but I've got a laptop and desktop that I use for anything else. This device wasn't constructed for the blogger, this device was constructed with the media center Computer in the living space particularly in mind (and it delivers amazingly!!). I've got a side flip telephone with a QWERTY keyboard, so honestly it was sort of an hassle-free transition to this device, and 99% of the time if I'm typing with my HTPC its to unearth a movie or a rapid assessment of something. I don't see this as a con, hence why I place this in other thoughts. I do want to reiterate the no F4 ability, I know there are other strategies, but it would be nice to have a hotkey that performs as ALT+F4.

Small, lightweight, sturdy feel (aside from cover), pairs with receiver on onboard bluetooth rapidly and quickly. It does what its developed to do, handle a media center Pc without having needing an actual mouse and keyboard, quite effectively. You can actually use the full functionality of a computer with it, as an alternative of just controlling the media center ala MC remotes. Cost, at 100 even I would have offered 5 stars. Touchpad, while good, has nothing at all close to the usability of the touchpad on my 1000HE netbook. And then our perform laptop (lenovo y500p) blows it completely out of the water and halfway about the globe :)For 140 dollars I would have anticipated the touchpad to function a small superior. Turning sensitivity all the way up aids.I have avoided working with the logi application as most individuals say it operates extremely undesirable. For a media center remote/keyboard, there actually is nothing greater. Becoming in a position to each manage media, and browse the net and post on forums from your couch, is just extremely cool. I discovered typing to be fairly simple with the thumbs of each hands. You will have typos tho as the buttons are tiny, but thats to be expected of a compact device such as this. It reminds me a lot of typing on cell telephone keyboards.Troubles aside, its nevertheless the hands down greatest way to handle a media center wirelessly from your couch, barring a full size wireless kb and mouse.

Compact, clean and rechargeable. Poor keyboard layout and button function. Loses range quickly. I bought this keyboard soon after my small niece visited and accidentally broke my dinovo bluetooth keyboard mouse set. They did a extremely poor job with the mouse button assignments. They didn't even give a committed button for correct mouse button clicks. You have to hold down a smaller function button even though clicking yet another button. A revision should be in the functions. I would wait.

not too small, has all the keys and choices to generate your personal hot keys. Back lighted bluetooth, rechargable, excellent brand. No concerns with range of 20 ft. Charge holds for a though. I am using it now it would allways drop my internal BT bluetooth signal following the KB went to sleep, per Logis web site this is a knwon concern and you have to restet the KB. This really was a wate cuse i would do it 6 to eight instances per day. Great news is when I used the supplyed BT dongle i had no difficulties, but lost 1 usb port. The mouse is touchy but u wull get applied to it and like it. Price, if this was 99 then it would be a steel. I have been very satisifed and would recomend this and get an additional if required.

Modest, compact, with keyboard and mouse function all integrated into a single device. Setpoint software is miserable. I have had a glitch on my household pc for years with another Logitech device and thought it was an aberration, but now have two terrible experiences with Logitech software. This device would not hold its settings, the mouse function was anything but smooth and the item often would not function at all. Even when held subsequent to the Bluetooth receiver, and even when reset and reset once again. Occasionally software would show all tabs for setting or resetting and at times it would not. If it did, the device could be reset and function, but heaven assistance the poor soul that gets this far and dares to turn the laptop or computer off. The complete factor resets once again and glitches all over. It shouldn't be this difficult. I replaced with a wireless (and, regrettably, total-sized) keyboard and mouse that operate beautifully, so I am not willing to take the blame or blame it on the personal computer or its settings. Don't purchase this. Wait till other items come out that are more refined and far much less glitchy.

Thus far, this keyboard has been precisely excellent as an HTPC keyboard. It's tiny, fairly sturdy, and looks somewhat desirable, visually fitting in with the primary remote. Haven't had any complications with Bluetooth loosing link as other individuals have complained. It gets the job carried out in a tiny and effective package. None whatsover. You're purchasing a HTPC keyboard. It's not for gaming, it's not for doing operate on, and it's not for putting in an OS with, you have other keyboards for all of that. If you want a keyboard that's fantastic for these factors acquire a more classic keyboard. Oh, and it's bluetooth, both a excellent factor and a poor thing; you know what you're shopping for so don't be surprised when it doesn't function from 40 feet away via two walls. Practically every complaint I've read from other users are due to one of two points: 1) individuals attempting to use the keyboard for things beyond the scope of a fundamental HTPC and 2) troubles inherent to Bluetooth (can't remote-wake the Computer with the keyboard, for example). To all of those fantastic people: RT*M & ST*U.

Has superb range! Just what I needed for my HTPC, didn't want a complete sized keyboard/mouse combo sitting on the couch, since I don't presently have a coffee table. Battery lasts forever and a half. Really like the switchable mouse/d-pad. NO F KEYS. Stupid oversight. Keyboard layout not centered well, and not tactile at all, terrible crucial response. Nevertheless attempting to justify the cost, but it is worth it for Boxee/Hulu, and so forth.

In addition to offering advertised functionality out of the box with my off-brand, Windows XP netbook, devoid of any driver installation, this device has also established a outstanding degree of compatibility with my new-model Xbox 360, again, plug-and-play. I strain that this is not an advertised feature of the machine, and there will be no guarantee on such function, but there it is. So it has carried out what it advertised to do for my personal computer, and has provided an whole class of capability totally lagniappe. Caveats: I am posting this assessment based on short-phrase, initial impressions. I can't speak to PS3 functionality or the device's longevity. Fit and finish are great, although, regular Logitec excellent.I give four stars (or eggs, in this case) for meeting all expectations based on marketing and pre-obtain research, and the fifth star for being the uncommon product that considerably exceeds expectations and gives me genuine delight in the 1st impression. I can't however speak to any considerable "cons" of this device, aside from the limitations a single would anticipate in a little wireless peripheral. Its range is not infinite, nor is its battery life. Nevertheless, I have but to encounter a circumstance where I exceeded the limits of either, so these remain theoretical. Also, bear in thoughts that typing on it is additional akin to smartphone technique than touch-typing approach. Lastly, working on the D-pad, it can occasionally require finesse to separate directional input (pressing on one particular edge of the pad) from the "submit" input (pressing on the center of the pad). This is my only accurate gripe so far, and it has not been a sufficient dilemma to detract from the joy of getting a universal hand-held controller/keyboard for my computer systems and Xbox. Though this capability is not supported by Logitec, the DiNovo Mini is fully functional as a keyboard and standard handle pad for the Xbox 360 "Dashboard" menu interface--or at least, it is for me. I set the device to Computer mode (as opposed to PS3 mode) on the switch in the battery compartment, and to D-pad mode (as opposed to mouse mode) on the switch adjacent to the "Click-pad," and I plugged the USB dongle into a front port on my Xbox 360, and the DiNovo Mini was able to offer not only a typing platform but also directional-pad manage and A and B buttons (mapped to the Enter and Back keys, respectively). Not a game controller, but an exceptional chat-pad and configuration-input device. Also N.B.: In mouse mode, left-click is offered by depressing the trackpad, but duplicated on the OK button (device upper left corner). This enables for two-thumb click-and-drag operations. Correct-click is achieved by fn+OK.Device size: comparable laterally to 360 controller, but thinner vertica

Quit complaining so much. What do you anticipate from such a tiny keyboard?I use this factor on my HTPC, and it works just fine. Battery life is roughly three-four weeks depending on use. It seems to go into a stand-by state when you close the lid or don't use it for a couple minutes. I have had very couple of issues maintaining it connected even if I take it out of range. The track pad functions about as properly as one on a laptop (see cons). The only cons I have are small, really. It doesn't have function keys, but I setup some important combinations that simulate the ones I use the most. Also the trackpad is a little annoying when using the proper-click regularly as you have to hold the fn key and the mouse-click to get to the correct-click menus. It is what it is. If you hold that in thoughts you will like the thing like I do. The cons are not actually a major deal since I have a total size keyboard and mouse when I want to do far more than start out a movie or find a file. But it works good when you want to sit on the couch and not have to fumble a full size set on your lap.

- wonderful quantity of functionality in a quite modest space- you can toggle the pad involving directional/PS3 and trackpad on the fly with the function key not just by the switch... freakin genius... when you understand it you can do some incredible issues quickly-buncha devoted media center functions-integrated Li battery suggests not having to get AAs just about every 5 seconds- no drivers essential in win7, however you do get smoother trackpad function if you install Setpoint- integrated bluetooth dongle has a storage space in the bottom of the keyboard if you need to go someplace with it-there's really no competition, if you need to have qwerty and mouse with Media Center, this is seriously the only quality, modest resolution -battery life is nowhere close to advertised... with hard media center use, I have to charge it every day and a half or so....-keyboard good quality can be a small iffy.... I've noticed many units and some of them can have a few keys with tight fit and subpar really feel... -if the battery gets low, there can be a lot of sporadic keypresses missed and flaky mouse action-it does not function with generic bluetooth.. you must use the enclosed adapter this is a distinctive solution and I really like it, it's just got a handful of flaws... there isn't anything better so I reside with them.... don't acquire refurb result in you could require warranty help

Small, rapid, less difficult to cuddle up on the couch with than a total size keyboard, media buttons are nice touch, holds a charge longer than my mobile phone, flip cover keeps the cats from typing! You're not gonna create a novel with this, and the touch pad is a tiny tricky. I've recently switched from cable tv to web Computer's for home entertainment. These are great for a couch potato session. Dont abandon your total size keyboard and mouse even though, entering something other than a URL in a browser window is laborous, since its all thumb operate and its bigger that a QWERTY keyboard on a mobile phone, great item nonetheless!

I was seeking for anything to handle Pc from my couch that was wireless and not IR. This device is a sleek, stylish, and ultra smaller keyboard. I located it to have superb range. I just plugged it in, loaded the software and started using this. Amber back light looks cool, and when you switch to Medica Center mode, light modifications to green and only shows functions you will need. As somebody stated, the back light only stays on for a couple of seconds. Logitech need to have produced this setting configurable. It does take some receiving applied to for unique functions. I have had to turn on some lights to see what I'm carrying out, but I figure, as soon as I get used to this, I will be wonderful. Newegg value is proper at MSRP, sort of high, I identified this on a various site (AMAZ0N . COM) for 贤.75.

Sleek form element. Best for HTPC usage. Backlit keys. It hardly ever performs. I sit 12 ft away from my HTPC, which is inside a solid wood media center with a front glass door. I wanted the Dinovo Mini to replace my old RF wireless keyboard/joystick combo, which sometimes skipped keys and forced me to reposition the keyboard to get excellent reception. Sadly, the Mini was even worse. Not only did it suffer from poor reception, it also suffered regularly from keys getting stuck in a bad state forcing the user to eliminate the battery and re-insert it for the keyboard to grow to be usable once again. A google search shows that this is a rather typical issue, and it's not some thing I uncover a acceptable for a keyboard in this price tag range. I purchased this at a local store and returned it following a week.

Great for my HTPC setup. Functions fantastic. Necessary bluetooth mainly because I've got an IonItx create mounted to the back of my LCD Tv so no line of sight for lame IR. Hardly ever wants charging. It's tiny and looks wonderful on the coffee table. Even my girlfriend likes it, which would earn the diNovo Mini a 6th "girl element" egg if it had been feasible. I was a small hesitant, 蕦 for a keyboard?" but it's worth each and every penny. I adore it. Keyboard can place Vista to sleep, but can't wake it up. I don't think this is the keyboard's fault though. It's either Vista, or I don't have one thing set up proper. Why is there such a lack of superior bluetooth remotes for media center??? Smaller, very good range, comfortable, and does what it desires to do, mostly. I've had this issue about nine months now and the experience has been satisfactory. Tiny keys, but that's to be expected. It will not let a personal computer to sleep or hibernate because it randomly wakes anything up. You can prevent this by removing the receiver dongle, but then it's an annoying approach to reconnect to the pc (you have to take out the back panel of the Mini and press the "connect" button as properly as the one particular on the dongle.) Updating the drivers and Logitech software program does not aid. I would guess my usage qualifies as "heavy," so I go a week among charges. I don't know if this must be the case or not. Logitech advertises a month in between recharging, I'll guess you can get that if you don't use it or only a little bit. When I employed this beneath Windows 7 beta, the touchpad would often be Really challenging to use, with the cursor jumping about the screen a lot. Given that I've gone to Windows 7 (retail) this hasn't occurred. I just hope it's not a issue that will return.
