Manual is In English totally! greatest Board i have applied. This is a great board. It is really straightforward if you are a first time builder. Msi consists of stuff that makes the hdd/leds and all common connections straightforward. All in all with a very good case. i chose RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB Black 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer system Case. the quantity of time it requires to set this Mobo up is about 10 mins! just read the manual initial! The Spacing from the pciE 2. slots is excellent. Msi has accomplished a excellent job with the layout of this board. this board is extremely cool temp wise suprisingly. there are no cons. legacy pci is useless. I consider if you are a 1st time builder this is a very good board. if you are skilled you can appreciate the quantity of work msi has cut out for you. If you have a youngster interested in creating his own rig this is a ideal board and its potent.cmy only believed is i must have bought a x6 processor but i bought a rana. seeing as im just gaming/minor video editing appropriate now.

Excellent motherboard I had lockups with 2 other brands of motherboards and now with this board it is rock solid. Quite nice properly created board that worked wonderful the very first time it was booted, I have Win 7 64 bit method and no problems at all. Finally a solid AMD board. Manual could be much better but telephone tech support was fantastic. I had a question about ACHI for my ssd drive. Very pleased with the board it is the initially MSI board for me and proably will not be the final as I could not be a lot more pleased.

Almost everything you need, but with problems... (detailed in "Cons") Been reading up on concerns about this mobo and Windows 7 installation. I've gone via specifically what folks are dealing with: Disabling the USB controllers, which then permits me to set up the OS, but right after that, I can't do something when I allow the USBs again. It stays at the "Starting Windows" screen. Now I make contact with MSI about this and they did give me specific actions to see if I can install the OS with no problem, but that didn't operate. They did send me a BIOS file to flash mine, and with the help of a buddy of mine, we comprehend the measures that are needed, but when we attempt to flash it, we get a red window that says:ROMID dismatch re-chooseROMID dismatch Force flashThe measures we've observed says that the update really should go in with no hassle, but no 1 says anything about this. We want to be on the safe side and not mess anything up. Not even a response on their forum.Genuinely disappointing... It's weird for my buddy simply because he got virtually the identical precise components for his pc and he installed Vista on his, with some troubles that he resolved and his Computer is kicking with no dilemma.I have a brand new custom built pc that me and my buddy put together that I just bought with this motherboard and now it's just sitting there; worth 迀.MSI must also have a consumer service telephone number for more rapidly service. I sent 2 e-mails on their Tech Service Request Type. Did get a response the 1st time, but nothing given that, so I'm with no computer more than the weekend. Still consider the board is easy to function with as far as layout goes. No complaints there.Nevertheless searching forward to telling you how it performs when the OS is loaded.... But I'm now on my second attempt, following RMA'ing the first board and nonetheless stuck with the very same challenge making use of the replacement. There's no apparent root trigger for the problem and I've but to reconnect with MSI tech support who, after a short exchange over the initially board, suggested that an RMA was in order for the reason of a faulty USB Controller. Obtaining a difficult time believing that my luck is so negative as to get two boards w/faulty controllers, but I'm operating out of troubleshooting ideas. None of the (few) ideas across feedback on this board have been of any worth... (Following up on my original feedback) Apparently some combination of elements and the Windows installers for each Windows 7 and Vista (both 32 & 64-bit) are resulting is this concern, but I nonetheless don't have a resolution other than to attempt out a various motherboard.Have been over my setup assembly quite a few instances and, whilst I'm not perfect, there genuinely is not substantially possibility of pilot error left. Would actually like to hear some sort of explanation from MSI about where the incompatibility lies and, even far better but, what I require to do in order to get my build up and operating lastly(after a month of waiting)...and lastly, a listing of elements in the current build:MSI 890FXA-GD65 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB three. Quite, Genuine Pretty. Thats it!! Recognized USB Controller situation, will not boot previous windows 7 start off screen to load Win7 for set up unless you disable USB Controller, even using a PSǘ keyboard, whats the use??? There is no new Bios to fix the issue, and even if there were, how do you install from just the keyboard??? Thumb drive won't work, keep in mind, USB doesn't function. DVD/CD? Nope, once again no new bios to load to dvd/cd. After reading other people possessing this issue the board is going back to RMA for refund. Second board I have bought from MSI only on the AMD side this time and it also failed to provide. Please don't leave a message as to get in touch with you at MSI help as there is no fix for a broken usb controller other than rma. Typing this from a good friends residence as to warn other people away from this board. There will be additional with this situation as I have noticed them on forums. I am now place out till I get my funds back. Thanks!!!! (I know with all electronics occasional difficulties happen, ie, poor board, but this isn't occasional issue.) All round the board is nice. Enough space for every little thing I need to have. Defective I lately purchased this in a combo pack with AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. Computer booted up fine at 1st with no display. Ended up powering down and resetting bios. Immediately after performing so it would not even power on. After some testing I discovered that it would boot with only the 24 pin connector plugged in. It would not boot with the eight pin 12V connector plugged in. Tried two diverse PSU's and each did the same. Contacted MSI directly and he came up with the motherboard becoming the dilemma. Sending it back for a replacement. Most recent MSI motherboard. i was looking forward to using it. i WAS really excited when i got the board. usb3., sata6gigs, am3 crossfirex 16x oh yeah....Enjoy MSI they've generally been great with me and their boards... until now. Defective USB portsI had high hopes for until i couldn't figure out what was wrong with the board. took me a few days to figure out that the USB PORTS have been the culprit. they have been defective and prevented the technique from booting. getting into bios was fine and ok... just wouldn't load windows simply because the usb ports had been enabled.I used a USB keyboard and it worked in bios except when you start booting into windows... anything just stops If you disable the USB controllers in the bios it functions and boots into windows just fine... but with out usb ports it tends to make this msi product just an high-priced paper weight.fully useless.Perhaps I will give MSI an additional opportunity and hope i get a very good board from newegg this time or i will By no means get one more MSI product again.... It's a fantastic board, don't get me incorrect. There's nothing at all that especially stands out in my thoughts because I haven't delved into its capabilities yet. I'd give it every little thing that other people have posted although. - The manual is pretty considerably useless. Doesn't cover the BIOS quite effectively.- The RAID disk MSI says they offer you on their website is nowhere to be found...- The RAID controller. It's good in theory, but unless you have a USB drive enclosure to install your OS from, there's a probability you'll get stuck. I figured out how to set up my RAID array (which is counterintuitive), but the moment Windows 7 populated the disk with the initial files, it appeared flummoxed as to exactly where, specifically, the DVD drive it had been installed from had got to, and threw a driver error. I wound up not using RAID and just installed Windows on one particular of the two drives. Might get a third drive. It's a fantastic board, just requirements a couple of items looked at relating to the RAID.

Its a mother board. It holds a CPU, it holds a GPU, it processes information. Thats it, because I dont like becoming falsely advertised to. Does not do every thing newegg says it can (per the owners manual and MSI tech on the phone). Says supports up to 2133 mhz ram. Does not. Consequently being lied to I refuse to want to even give this 1 egg, but have to give it an egg. Will be returning my RAM I invested in, so count on an RMA newegg. -has all the characteristics I need-got it in a combo deal-says AM3+ prepared (see additional in other thoughts). -BIOS bugs. I seriously am not that disappointed although. There was some on the web game developer who released a new update, and in some instances, it truly messed with folks. The did a rollback on the last 24 hours (think of it as a BIOS update), place out a statement, and everybody went on with their lives. They mentioned a thing fascinating even though. With their testers, it would have taken 20 years to get the identical use out of the update as the user base got in a number of hours. A BIOS update need to be out soon, and then all will be fine. -appear at the preview on newegg, zoom in. It says subsequent to the CPU socket "AM3+ prepared". If you can get e mail make contact with with somebody high up in MSi that says this is not a typo (because they are telling individuals this), save it, and when you acquire a bulldozer chip and it doesn't fit (cause it certainly won't with the current socket), demand a new, bulldozer prepared board with all the attributes on this a single because of their typo. If they are telling the truth, and all this needs is something like a socket switch to make it bulldozer ready, I can live with that. Purchasing a new socket vs. purchasing a new board, apparent winner.note: MSi isn't saying it will take a socket transform, its just speculation by a person on a forum (overclocker's some thing, can't recall) that sounds fairly plausible. Also, I just noticed that the item assessment guidelines mention not talking about overclocking and modding.

The MB gives a Quick construct, and great performance on the parts that matter most to me CPU North/South Br. efficiency and Disk. The onboard RAID is nice, as is the NIC, basic but rapid and low overhead. Cooling and power connection are effectively developed and have a good compact layout O' and it looks very cool as well. It losses some points for the ATX connector blocking air flow on the RAM, but it is still the "best" spot for the connector.Audio, its not broken per'se, but it is not operating either. The controller is responsive, but tends to make no sound and is not returning data to the driver beneath Win XP or Win7-64, but it performs under Linux with a restricted function driver. I'm operating with MSI ( slowly ) to get this resolved, and have not RMA'd the MB due to the fact it so far seems to be a driver problem. I ordered this as an "open box obtain" and was concerned following reading some of the posts right here. Nevertheless, the board came fully stocked with all original contents. It looked like it had never ever been installed with protective plastic coverings on MB. I did install the updated BIOS prior to attempting to boot. It worked on very first attempt with no troubles! The physical create good quality of the board is incredible. Extremely high-priced and heavy looking components abound. Uncomplicated layout to configure and it truly is quickly with XFX HD Radeon 5750 video card and AMD three.2 quad core CPU. This set up is particularly for my son's gaming machine. He is completely pleased with the outcome to say the least. WE 7.3 across the board except for hard drive of course. Make no mistake about the 890FX chipset, if you are a gamer, you require to get this one. It really does an awesome job integrating the video card and CPU to develop the very best expertise. I have installed just about all brands of MB's more than the years and this 1 went smooth. The only minor point I did not like was the use of little connector blocks utilised for the power switch, reset, and so on. The blocks are suppose to make it less complicated to make these smaller connections easier by performing them out of the case. Then all you do is install the complete block to the MB in one particular action. It does lesson the frustration on the initial install but I believe the connector blocks fit a little loose. I assume it is totally hilarious that my previous post generated a response from MSI tech help wanting to support with my "issues". I clearly stated that I did not even have the MB but and expressed concern. THey did not even read the whole comment. It tends to make me wonder.

nice functions, not absolutely overkill - hybrid units POSTs... but then goes to a blinking (movable) cursor when trying to access the SATA controller. Boots from USB fine... with or devoid of any SATA devices plugged in.. very same story. Rev3, latest bios.. reflashed for the heck of it.. identical thing. With devices connected to the SATA ports, they are recognized just fine... but as soon as POST completes... absolutely nothing... does not matter what sata or onboard settings are toggled.. similar story every time.
