Only 768MB through 192bit memory interface, despite the higher clock, 1GB is necessary.
Pros: MSI cyclone, the HSF keeps the temps below 45 degrees at full load, 16% overclocked (additional speeds are great for folding), quiet and three games. Comment:
With AMD's HD 6000 series on the horizon, nvidia decided to drop the GTX 400 series like Timber in hopes of selling as much as possible. The GTX 460 itself is very attractive, but it isn't going to beat any expectations, merely lives up to to the hype. This card is still a monster with a few missing paws. I am however disappointed that it didn't play my games well. At 1680x1050 resolution, one would assume 768MB would suffice, but nowadays 1GB is the new minimum. The card does run very cool and is extremely quiet. In SLI mode (additional 768MB or 1GB) this card is going to be a beast. |

Bought this card to fold with on a I7 930 at 4.4 ghz. This does 12000 ppd out of the box! My two GTX 470's must be overclocked to get 14000 ppd and they run really hot in comparison. |

none? what can I say, maybe for every product people would wish it was cheaper but for this product... it is as cheap as it gets, well when the 6xxx series for ATI come out you can expect a price drop but even now you are getting amazing performance for a low price!!, combine with an intel core i5 760, 4 gigs of ram and you've got a solid rig.
Pros: Amazing card, SLI two of these and overclock them to 470 speeds and you've got yourself an amazing rig that costs less then half of a gtx 480, runs cool even OC'd and frankly, just an amazing buy, the benchmarks http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-460-sli-review/show just how amazing it can do in games, and basically this can play any game out right now if OC'd to 470 speeds decently at high detail, even metro 2033. IMO, this is one of the most solid cards on the market right now! I installed it in 4 year old hardware, and not one hiccup. Dual core Opty 170 (S939) on an old Abit board.Runs very nice! Also runs extremely cool. With the fan at 100%, it will go down to 5 degrees above ambient, at idle. That's incredible! Just make sure you have good case ventilation. MSI AfterBurner allows adjustments to everything, even voltage! WOW! Nice Card! |

Absolute deal at 179.99, 20$ mir on top is icing on the cake. This card is absolutely nuts, just bought a second one for SLI.
