Ease of assembly and connection is top notch.Easy to use CMOS.Ridiculously effortless overclocking.Designed for SLI.Excellent initial construct board. BIOS update encouraged by manufacturer does NOT recognize numerous core CPUs, and will NOT post to enable flash of old BIOS. Do NOT update the BIOS. Yes, that's commonly common sense, but for a noob like me, it was a expensive error pondering I could trust the manufacturer to know what they're performing. And honestly, who makes a BIOS update for a particularly socket AM3 board that doesn't recognize several cores? The only explanation I'm not breaking an egg over that is due to the fact *I* really should have identified superior.Other than that, it's a wonderful board with all sorts of bells and whistles. The overclock switches are a entertaining, easy to use novelty. Just make sure your PSU can manage what this board can place out.

This is a good board that does anything it says it does. I haven't tried out sli mode but if it works like the rest of the board it really should work good. I would advocate this board to everyone. I didn't get any info on my ฤ MIR which seriously bothers me since i spent an extra 20 bucks that i ought to be finding back. Purchased this with a couple of other factors such as a new CPU. I place it into the case and installed Win 7 and every little thing worked great.I'm taking away 1 Egg since i didn't get my ฤMIR Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued MSI Customer,“Please get in touch with MSI consumer service representative Tom at tomh@msi.com, or call Tom at 626-913-0828 ext 216 with your case facts so we can verify the rebate status. Fantastic set of characteristics, lots of choices in the BIOS. AM3 with official SLI assistance. 16GB of ram. 1st board arrived and worked for 3 days just before energy went out throughout a anxiety test (I generally test new purchases for a week or so to make certain nothings incorrect and I'm glad I did), following that, hitting the power button would lead to power to flash on and promptly turn off once again. This happened even when the M/B was the only devices connected to power, but stopped if I disconnected the 4-pin CPU power connector.I RMA'd the board, got a new 1, put almost everything back in and it powered up fine, lasted 3 days below a complete pressure test (Folding@Home on CPU and integrated GPU) when I was away no problems. A handful of days right after that it had the exact identical concern (but it shut down although idle on the desktop this time.) I figured that my board was dead and was going to send in for a refund, but I tested my friends PSU on it first to be confident that it wasn't that after all. I hear a large pop when we turn it on (power stays on though), my friend claimed to smell smoke, and it started magically functioning fine. I have no concept what happened to my second board, I could buy extended warranty, but I intend to preserve it as lengthy as its functioning.I'm operating the boards quite close to their max specs. I'm confident, with a hex-core processor, quad-sli'd 9800gx2 and actively making use of the HybridPower feature, and running a complete 16GB of ram. So maybe they just aren't handling the additional stress as well as they could, I don't know. Also, the board appears to have great critiques else-exactly where, and I've seen some persons on forums pulling 4.0Ghz+ overclocks with hex-cores on it. So I'm forced to assume I was just unlucky. That's why I'm still giving it two stars, and the second board, as confused as I am to why it nevertheless functions, has been performing excellent given that it's miraculous revival.

I'm very impressed with this MB. Great attributes and speed vs low price. I loaded it with eight Gig of Corsair XMS 1330 RAM operating with the Phenom II 965 processor... booted suitable up and no difficulties loading Win7. I'm not a gamer but overclocking seems to be simple if you are so inclined. A lot quickly enogh to multitask the multimedia apps I throw at it. Graphics are excellent with just a GeForce 9600 GSO in hybrid. A quite steady platform! None so far. The method that this is replacing is an XFX 750 MB, 8 Gig of OCZ Ram, Phenom 9950 quad core and a GeForce 9600 GSO in hybrid. I didn't count on that there would be that good of an raise in speed involving the AM2 and AM3 format... but there was!

sli am3 is tough to uncover... sli only runs in x8, x8. And it doesn't say significantly about it in the description. If your board is DOA like mine was, be prepared to wait at least two weeks prior to you can even order a different a single due to the fact newegg's RMA is a joke. They didn't even send me a shipping label and when you get in touch with no one seems to care. Also when you go to boot up this board for the 1st time your going to want to make sure that you verify the overclocking in the bios, mine came with screwy setting that could have fried my cpu and ram.

Supports 125w CPU.Onboard Video with Hybrid Mode. Two GPU Slots. Popped in a Phenom ii 965 and 2x2gb ddr3 1066 and was unstable but it posted. Unlockable CPUs don't seem to work instantaneously. Have to attempt to set the bios differently with a accurate quad-core processor mainly because my theory is that the board is attempting to unlock any dormant cores within the cpu by default. If I get this to function, Frame levels will be greater than ever on GTA IV. Not only that, but several other titles.

Love this motherboard, the totally free space beneath the graphics card is a important plus, due to not loosing a slot, the SATA 5 port is handy for persons who have to swap their HDD's around all the time The most significant dilemma i had was when i very first installed this in my system, at the same time as a new AMD six core two.8 processor and brand new DDR3 1600 Ram, it refused to do anything, as soon as i got previous the post, it would freeze if i touched ANY key, even the mouse buttons, which is terrible if you are attempting to install your operating fresh for a new program. I traced this issue to an concern with the BIOS, so i tried to flash it. It wouldn't take. i had to downgrade it to an older BIOS version than i had to update it to the newest version.Important design flaw is the motherboard not being a full ATX form element, this is really stupid, simply because if you plug in your power cable to hard (not a hard point to do as these connectors can be hard to get to seat) you will far more than most likely snap the finish of your motherboard off.these challenges make it loose an egg Watch for a poor BIOS straight out of the box, and be prepared to downgrade it to upgrade , so ahead of an RMA try a BIOS flash (super simple if you make somebody else do it)

It has some relatively fantastic overclocking options. Though changing the CPU's voltage can appear a bit confusing. It kept my Corsair memory at its default 1333 Mhz so I didn't have to OC anything. Got my AM.D AM3 445 Rana stable at 3.5*( See cons ) Ghz. Absolutely nothing a lot, but nonetheless. It can SLI with an AMD Cpu, which is what I wanted. I plan to have either a Gts 450 and GTX 460. Or SLI my 450. Hehe, I did a undesirable OC. Had to reset the BIOS settings I did. Booted back up and pressed F2 for the default values. Only point is I forgot to modify the CPU ratio from Auto back to 12.5.My CPU was OC'd to three.8 Ghz. It couldn't go previous the POST screen. SO, I had to open it up and reset the CMOS. Not mention eliminate my video card mainly because it was as well close to my GPU. All round actually excellent motherboard. Next time I may well go with the 940a( Or 950a? ) version of it.

This card had everything I wanted: 2 quick PCI-E two. slots and on-board video (a current ought to considering that my final troubleshooting nightmares) as well as help for my new Phenom and DDR3. Onboard sound appears actually very good. Price is excellent! Doesn't actually help PC1600 DDR3 memory (see "Other thoughts note), which signifies I couldn't (with recent offerings) get anything with CAS six into this, only CAS 7. No on-board wireless. Only a single common PCI slot, which tends to make factors a little tight. Speaking of tight, it's about 3ǚ" thinner than my previous mainboard, which suggests almost everything is a little cramped. My big nVidia GTX 260 barely fits overtop of some nearly-poorly placed SATA slots, but it does fit. No onboard Firewire, but I didn't use it on my last mainboard anyway. The AM3 bracket is less complicated to use when attaching the fan than my preceding board also. But, honestly, nothing at all serious in addition to the RAM and wireless. The pros certainly make up for the cons. Let me clear one thing up ahead of an individual makes a error: The specs advertise that the board supports DDR3 PC1600 memory. It does not natively help that, but will overclock to 1600 and run that, if that makes sense (I'm not an overclocker; pardon my unfamiliarity with the terms). The manufacturer's web page says some thing along the lines of 񓑊񳄄񳈰(O.C.)" So you may well not want to grab some PC1600 memory unless an online Configurator like OCZ's explicitly says it's compatible. I didn't risk it; I needed this issue up and running quickly.

Anything worked out of the box, and every thing appears to be genuinely solid. The Hybrid SLi functions, but it isn't wonderful, as the personal computer sees you're video specs at the on-board chip specs, it doesn't employ the whole committed card you install (unless its a reduce end card). It's a decent backup even though in situation your VGA dies. I ran into a challenge with my CPU heatsink and the Northbridge heatsink, had to flip my cpu heatsink around and I only have about 1Ǟ" clearance between the two nowOnly a single SATA cable in the box, actually? The integrated software package for overclocking has a really steep finding out curve, but the failsafes on the board help preserve you form frying your components.None of these by them self is to negative, but all with each other I couldn't give it all five eggs.SPECS--CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 3.4GHzMB: MSI NF750-G55 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLIRAM: 8GB Ɣ x 2GB) 250-pin 1333 G.TalentVideo: GIGABYTE GV-N250OC GTS250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3HDD1: OCZ Turbo 30GB SA

This board has almost everything you would want. Some Tech schmucks would say that it would be nicer with this or with that, but for what it's utilized for, AMD chips quad core in my case, it works good. I attempted to break it, or I've overclocked it and reinstalled a newer windows on a new harddrive, the motherboard has failed overclocking attempts almost certainly 50 occasions, but it still operates!! This one particular worked, with no challenges... If you are hunting for a great motherboard, it's right here, and it seems MSI resolves it's concerns with negative motherboards genuinely quick. Very good perform paying consideration MSI..

AMD AM3 + NVIDIA SLiDDR3Great constructed in sound cardPretty good on board video graphics. I have had no issues with the physical board whatsoever. No USB three. No S/PDIF (there is a header but you want to get a card for digital audio in addition to the HDMI)MSI online update service has under no circumstances worked for me. It's supposed to be easy and straightforward but is, for me, a waste of time. 1600Hz OC? I don't realize what MSI suggests by that but I'm guessing they mean it can handle OC 1333 to 1600 and not 1600 alone. This is a big bang for the buck obtain and if you are a fan of AMD and Nvidia then you ought to consider shopping for this card. You have to anyways mainly because there are only about 6 cards on the industry that support AM3 and Nvidia SLi. If you are looking at this card for a make, do your self a favour; purchase the NF980. It's effectively worth the additional funds. But the 750a is incredibly great worth for cash.

This is an awesome board general. Not cramped, a lot of room to sli. If u program on utilizing an AM3 cpu socket and a nVidia gpu; Get this mobo. My only complaint is minuscule; I had trouble with the bios. my comp would turn on and the screen would be like snow. it wouldn't load the bios menu. I played with a few instances and got it operating a handful of mins later. Not negative sufficient to deduct an egg. Get it if u want to sli and use an AM3 cpu socket.

Looks niceLow cost valueRapid shipping Let's see... I got this motherboard especially for SLI, as I am the proud owner of two Nvidia GTX 460 1Gb's. Started up, ran okay, installed Windows 7 64-bit and all the drivers I needed. Applied "Maximum Overall performance" in the Nvidia Manage Panel and BOOM! Blue screen of death. Tried to start off it up again and it would just BSOD just about every time. I took out one of the cards and it started up just fine with out a hitch.SLI on an AMD motherboard is like attempting to mix oil and water and anticipate it to remain that way the subsequent morning. It just does NOT perform. I got a replacement and that one didn't work either. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but because then I've been with Intel ever due to the fact and I really like being capable to SLI and Crossfire.
