It's been a though since I've owned a gaming Computer. I was quite pleased with the performance of the card for the cost. It runs fairly cool and gives great performance.Paired with a Core i5 Quad Core two.6GHZ, I typical about 50 FPS on Starcraft two, By no means dipping beneath 30FPS for the duration of intense battles. Operating anything on Ultra Settings @ 1920x1080 res. WoW stays at a fairly consistent 60FPS. It can go as high as 80-90FPS in Northrand with out Vsync turned on. Entirely Maxed out... along with 4x AA 񝏠x1080FFXIV Benchmark scores 4500+ on low and 2500+ on high. It can't handle the "Ambient Occlusion" mode.... but I doubt the 5870 could either at 1920x1080....Maybe at 720p it could.... but even then... "Ambient Occlusion takes an insane toll on the processor... It's the new Anti-Aliasing. That mode is to make the game appear even superior a couple years from now, when everyones computers will be a lot far more capable. It's a bit additional expensive than the other 5770 cards. But at least it has a superior heatsink than the stock design. Leaves me area for potentially over-clocking it a bit. I won't try it until I'm sure I'll have the dollars to buy a new card if I break it, even though. Almost certainly wait until the next generation of ATI or Nvidia cards.

Now that I have it operating, it is quite quiet, and as i have no plans on OCing it, it ought to be incredibly stable (other reviewers say that OCing this point is asking for discomfort). Starcraft II runs on -pretty much- max graphical detail (High as an alternative of Ultra), but I can live with that. None, aside from a handful of initial troubles with flickering video, but that could have just been a poor DVI connection, due to the fact a tiny adjustment fixed it. Only owned the card for a little far more than a day, but it appears fairly solid.

Tears apart anything I throw at it. I don't own any games that can max it out, I'll attempt crysis soon, as soon as I get it. Overclocking help is completely sweet, genuine time efficiency metrics lets you see how it handles distinct tasks. Looks boss. It takes up two pcie slots even even though it only utilizes 1, just since its so large and mighty. verify your board if you're seeking to do crossfire, make certain you have enough space to fit both cards since the fans are physically large and if your pcie2 slots are proper subsequent to each and every other you might be out of luck. appreciate it.

Owned Mine for about 7 to eight months now. Purchased when the cards had been 180$. card has however to dissappoint me. runs every game out there pretty much. Metro 2033 gets about 20-30 FPS when on DX10 on High Settings. Crysis Gets About 25-30 FPS on High Settings. Runs Cool. Mine hardly ever jumps above 40-45C when operating any game. And i program on buying a 2nd a single soon for CrossfireX. Absolutely none at all.

Excellent card. Undoubtedly a bang for you buck. Ive had this GPU given that xmas and its been operating strong. Somehow 1 of the fan blades came off, and for the life of me I cant figure out how that happened but it doesn't transform the cooling efficiency of the card general. It makes WoW and BO look pretty amazing with its' direct X 11 assistance. Hopefully I can get my new mobo pretty soon so I can get a different a single of these for Crossfire. I've however to run across a difficulty Whatever you do... when your installing the drivers and stuff for this card. Make certain you download the drivers from the web-site and I dont know if they've updated the CCC lately but dont use/have the CCC installed or it will lead to several BSODs. Just use the website's drivers and the disc's(that comes with the card) system MSI Afterburner.

This card is awesome. If your seeking for a hd 5770 spend the added บ and go with this 1. It overclocks like a champ, with gains of about four-ten fps on most games more than stock timings. My clocks aren't too aggressive, but i feel i could push it further. None Can't wait to get a different 1 and run x-fire!!!

I don't overclock far more than MSI already did, and this card runs almost everything Really nicely at 1920x1080 at high to very high settings. Crysis, StarCraft II, Borderlands, and Source engine games all run smoothly, although I look at 24 to 40 fps on Crysis "smooth adequate." Have not tried BFBC2 but.MSI Afterburner gives great manage if you do like to overclock or even just keep tabs on temperature and fan speed. The card fits very nicely into my modest ATX tower. Nothing key re: item itself, but see beneath for something you must be conscious of relating to drivers.Fans can get loud if you like to actually chill your GPU below load, but the core runs at a fairly nice temp (peak 67C) even if you leave it at the default auto setting. ATI's drivers are particularly annoying if you have an HD monitor. For numerous versions back, I keep obtaining unused border space on my monitor unless I manually go into the Catalyst Control Center and fiddle with the settings. CCC isn't very good at saving this underscan correction following you make it.Based on the version, this indicates I have to readjust the underscan soon after restarting Windows 7, launching a game, or both. There are prosperous workarounds for particular versions ྪ.6 included) that fix this. Google it.Bottom line: If you don't thoughts employing old drivers ྪ.three to ten.five) on your card, then this card ought to shine on any game at 1080p for a fantastic price. Nevertheless, if you can't stomach the concept of having to use old drivers while waiting for ATI's software engineers to get their act together, then go nVidia.

Massive improvement more than 2x nVidia 9800GT SLI setup. All current games run incredibly well paired with AMD X4 970. Quite quiet at idle and low load. Smaller PCB ensures a great fit without crowding. Can get loud below a heavy load or extended play, not too negative nevertheless. Would acquire once again and advocate to close friends.

Got this card to see how well it would bench compared to other cards on Hwbot. Upped the voltage to 1.3v and pushed the clocks as high as 1025񳆁, but could run any 3DM benches there. Backed off a little and ran 3DM06 @ 988 / 1404 and then had to back off to 977 / 1375 to run 3DM01, 03, 05. Didn't get much over 40 degrees. Than two fans @ 100% are loud. Even though, you could possibly back them down to 80% and be fine.

Has sufficient brains to cool itself by cranking up the fan when necessary, in contrast to the Sapphire 3870-X2 it replaced. That overpriced monster had no manage more than its personal fan, and needed Riva Tuner to make it operate adequately. This card is quickly adequate for my modest desires. It runs quietly, but the Cons beneath take 3 stars off its rating. does not do double precision floating point math, not like the Sapphire 3870-X2 and most existing ATI cards. That signifies that any distributed processing job, like folding@home and numerous BOINC projects will not use the GPU. Wish I had recognized this before shopping for.Even worse, the video at random instances goes black for a second or two. No error messages, absolutely nothing in the event viewer to explain it. This started immediately after I'd had it a couple of months. I wish I had not purchased this card. Looks cool, I guess?Other than that, I couldn't recommend this card. I've had two now, and both have been buggy. I plug it in by way of HDMI to my 42" 1080 LCD as the monitor (media/gaming machine in living space). Maybe that's why I have had difficulties and other individuals haven't. Drivers are awful, card has induced system instability from day a single. Screen will flash to a solid color and lock up. Tough drive lights will continue to flash, at times audio will even continue to play, but challenging reset is required. Thanks to this card my personal computer goes via about a dozen challenging reboots a week (NOT good!).I have updated the Catalyst drivers continuously hoping that some day AMD will get it proper and I won't have to throw a 赨 card in the garbage. I finally give up. Employed to construct about a dozen systems per year, but very first construct in a even though, and don't remember having this substantially trouble with a technique in practically ten years. Program instability from day 1. At this point I'm on my second processor, second motherboard, third set of RAM, and second MSI 5770. Still I can't use this laptop or computer for additional than a few hours without a tough reset. I grew tired a although back about obtaining bounced from manufacturer forum to manufacturer forum--"No, it's the other component's fault, trust us!" MSI was no diverse. They've known that they have an HDMI audio bug in Flash. Flash ten.1 seems to have fixed that. But nevertheless have driver crashes in Netflix fairly significantly consistently. Now for the very first time I'm getting difficulty with video driver crashes in gaming as nicely. Screen goes to a solid color and freezes though game audio continues. No way out but to reboot. I know the video card is the culprit since a couple of occasions the driver has recovered and tattled on itself. Fantastic tiny card and I do mean small compared to the nvidia monsters that applied to dwell in my compy. Both cards run extremely cool-at least 15c cooler. Play WoW, Oblivion, Fallout3, etc., without having a hiccup. Nicely, the drivers leave a lot to be desired. Second card-in crossfire-doesn't run at idle, usually pinged at 875 mhz. Discovered a way to get it to idle but have to fiddle around in the registry to accomplish it. CCC is nearly useless but Afterburner gets the job carried out. Haven't oc them but mainly because haven't truly required to. A very huge con that has nothing to do with the hardware or Egg is the rebate from MSI. Be aware that if you buy two of these tiny fellas only One will count toward the rebate!! Thanks for keeping my additional 10 bucks MSI. I'm confident as heck going to keep in mind this PITA down the road when I'm picking out new gear. So knocking one particular egg off since of the buggery driver, CCC, and MSI rebate annoyance.

Quiet and plays all my games on max settings. My 1st card's HDMI port stopped operating 1 month in. Had to spend 11 dollars to ship it out to MSI and had to wait two-3 weeks for a new one particular. And just a couple of days ago the video card just stopped operating all together. One more 11 dollars and far more waiting. Radeon HD 5770 is fantastic. This card can handle it all. I can quickly get wonderful framerates in BFBC2 and WoW. It's overclock capabilities are superb, got mine stable at 950 to core and 1300 to memory, even though I could undoubtedly do additional. With overclock Idle at 33C and under load in no way goes any higher than 70C. MSI afterburner is great. Gets a 7.4 in Windows experience index. Top quality item. The DP to DVI adapter doesn't let me plug in a DVI-VGA adapter to it, so I can't plug in 2 of my old VGA monitors ( oh well, no biggy) Honestly, it felt flimsy when I was holding it. Don't get me wrong, this card has top top quality components in it, but the heat sink just felt like it would be too effortless to break off. But actually, know your own strength when handling pc parts and it's fine.
