This item is better then the stock cooler that came with my CPU. Installation was very easy. Bonus points go to the this product for the use of metal clips since the stock plastic clips are prone to breaking easily. Although it is noisier then I expected, I am happy that I got it.

I have a pentium 4 3GHz. I also have temperature monitors displayed all the time since I've had a couple times of overheating due to dryed up heat sink compound. I originally had the $8.99 S457-1020 Masscool Aluminum heat sink and fan. Due to the fan breaking (my fault) I decided to get this super-whammy copper sink model. Don't bother!!! My temps did not change even 1 degree. No difference. Nada. Nilch. Zippo. It was a waste of money. Just get the basic 8.99 aluminum model.

So far so good. It's quiet and seem to work fine. Took all of 5 minutes to replace the old fan an I'm no tech-no-geek.

I looked at more expensive cooling fans but I am glad I chose this one, snapped right in places and it's very quite and runs cooler than the original fan, fast and prompt delivery

Bought the same item 5 years ago. The fan started to slow down last mongth so I bought same thing as replacement. (not much choice for my old PC and this seemed best value). On-line purchase and delivery were prompt and efficient.

My previous fan had some super glue on a fin and I thought I'd better replace it before it cost me. This fan is super quiet and very easy to install. Great value, super cool.

The Thremal Gel wasn't needed - heatsink pre-greased. Installation of unit very easy in Socket 478. Brought temperature down from the low 50sC to the low 40s under normal load. The past 9 years this company has always provided good and fast service and had products to build new computers or ungrading and repairs. Thanks from Texas. WS

As advertised, this fan is quiet, which is exactly why I purchased it. I'm very happy with it. I also like the fact that it came with the thermal gel already installed. It was a much easier installation than usual.

Older socket 478 motherboard replacement worked great. Easy install. Keeping it cooler than the original fan that was in the pc. Much more quiet than the Zalman I had on there before.

Just needed the fan. Copper finned heat sink was damaged both sides bent to middle. Box was undamaged as well as shipping box - so assume disgruntled employee slammed it a couple of times before packaging it. No more purchases from the company who wasted their money on the Iso 9000 BS.

I puchased this cpu cooler for my socket 478 cpu and it didn't last more than a month. So I just bought another different cpu cooler. Not worth the hassle to use the 1 year replacement plan big hassle trying too get an RMA number for a replacement. Sevice department very poor. Won't deal with them anymore.

Not a lot of choices for the P4 anymore but TigerD had this one at a good price and it is more than adequate. Without any OC'ing it keeps me in the low 30s C under moderate load. If you need a P4 cooler don't hesitate to buy this one!

great heatsink, fit right into the socket, it came pregreased, you need some pressure to put in the socket and it sounds like air is going thru the case and its quiet. i would buy another if i needed it.
