- enhanced ergo angles and adjust-ability more than prior versions (I have owned 2 of it's predecessors)- Customizable function buttons are extremely handy- Wife loves it absolutely nothing that comes to thoughts If you can touch-type, there need to be no adjustment concerns at all. The Wife loves the Back button, Zoom adjustment, and the volume controls. I uncover the programmable preferred buttons to be real time-savers. With some shortcut memorization you could use your Pc without touching the mouse at all.

I've owned a number of of these Keyboards, and the Comfort Curve 2000. This keyboard is a lot more comfortable to use than the 2000.I use one at perform, and one at home on my XP and Linux personal computer split with a KVM. Never ever had a challenge with that config.I don't use the unique keys, just as a keyboard. I don't like employing "normal" keyboards anymore Keyboard is a bit big. I did have 1 cease working with no warnings. I would advise this to any person who has pains from employing their laptop or computer. Keyboard also comes with a plastic insert to tilt the board back to a additional "natural" position. I don't use mine, it didn't really feel comfortable.

* Comfy, helped my wrist pain* Good array of function keys* Fantastic linux support (except for the zoom lever thingy) * As with practically all ergonomic keyboards, the b important is on the incorrect side for me* No windows key on the right side* Best row silver buttons feel flimsy (although had no issues with them)* Not waterproof :(. A spilled glass of water appears to have ruined my initially one.

This is the third keyboard I've tried this year and it's by far the most comfy. My wrist pain is not so speedy to set in, if it does at all. To get the play/pause button to operate with your media player, you have to uninstall IntelliType (currently 7.1).I use foobar2000, fortunately they have a flag that lets IntelliType users get about this problem. Assign the crucial to run: foobar2000.exe /playpauseThere is a third party dll for iTunes users known as mmKeys.dll, letting maintain the computer software. If you don't use iTunes or foobar200 if you disable the crucial in IntelliType it won't send a message to Windows. If you leave it enabled, it sends the appropriate "Play / Pause (MM)" message, but first it will open Windows Media Player. Uninstalling Intellitype renders all of the other unique keys inactive, unless you have a system actively listening for them.Space bar is not excellent. It's loud and the resistance is uneven; making use of the correct thumb demands far more pressure. If pressing at the edges it sticks till you break the resistance threshold, then it seriously bangs down. Not wireless. Rather like the keyboard. IntelliType could be rethought.

Excellent feedback, superior feel on the wrist. I've normally adapted to the reverse angle of the keyboard, and it's fantastic.I have the early stages of Carpal Tunnel, and this keyboard has helped me a lot when I sit down to sort out papers and lab reports. I would acquire this keyboard again, and would recommend it to just about any person. Keys are slightly mushier than a Model M :P Keyboard's plastic bit that gives it the reverse angle doesn't hold up when a physics book falls on the front edge of the keyboard from 3 feet up. (not really a problem with the keyboard. It also takes up a very good 50% additional desk space than my previous keyboard (which was a Microsoft multimedia keyboard).

-Has a split keyboard-programmable keys-You CAN adjust what all of the silver keys do-Functions with windows 7-new Function lock crucial-ů, with a combo deal -Microsoft produced it -.--Function lock crucial makes it challenging if your are applied to F1 through F12 carrying out 1 thing, and they do an additional if the F-lock important is on or off. This keyboard is too tall to fit in my keyboard tray with the legs up, or the front attachment on, so I have to continuously remove the attachment and/or lower the legs on the keyboard to get the tray to push in. I am gonna move the important tray down, if I can, so that the keyboard fits this weekend.I wish they produced it waterproof/spill-proof.I am also going to discover some glowing keyboard stickers so that I can have that feature as effectively.Newegg Rocks!

Fantastic shape: the only really ergonomic keyboard reasonably attainable.Truly nice leather-really feel palm rest. Quiet keys (except space!) if you're into that. Mushy and soft crucial action.Above paired with a Really loud TAP of a spacebar.Poor reliability. My initial of these keyboards just died right after about three years. I was pretty cheesed simply because frankly, keyboards shouldn't die on their own. A result of liquid or impact would be fine, but mine was generally treated well and died out of the blue. Most of the bottom of the keyboard failed: 1-four, alt, shift, z-v, and <-? were all outputting unique issues or combinations of things (for instance space output space+F1+F4). When Microsoft told me I was out of luck on the warranty I took it apart, and couldn't see something obvious. The guts don't appear like some thing sturdy though. There are circuits laid in two clear flexible sheets of plastic which sandwich a third thin layer in between to keep them from brief-circuiting, except where holes are punched out beneath the keys. I'm not surprised that so many other people today have had their keyboards fail. Soon after some research I discovered that there nonetheless aren't any other keyboards with an actual split, and decided to suck it up and purchase an additional. When it arrived I was seriously disappointed by this new crucial action, which is mushy and terrible. I may have been in a position to adapt to it, but the space important makes a chintzy woodpecker-loud TAP, which is Really annoying. If you use your left thumb you get a quiet press that fits in with the other keys, but even reaching way over with my right thumb I still get the tap (and pressing space with my left thumb feels ridiculous). I strategy to return this keyboard, and go find a replacement in individual someplace, since apparently even obtaining an identical model isn't safe. Way to fix what wasn't broken, Microsoft! :(

Extremely comfy. Wrist rest is soft. Can be angled 3 ways and raised if required. Has =, (, ), and backspace above number pad. F-lock is OFF by default. Software program integrated in Windows 7. Programmable keys. Back/forward thumb buttons are not in the way. "Zoom" slider controls size of browser font and emulates mouse wheel up/down in games. When I hold the Z key and any other important on the keyboard, the space bar will not register. In games, I use the Z important as my talk button, so if I'm moving and talking, I can\'t jump. How, in less than a week of using this product, did I locate some thing that in months of item testing Microsoft entirely missed? Also, keys have "soft" tactile response, so it feels like typing on a cloud, but occasionally I press a key that moves down but does not constantly register. I wouldn't dock anything for this, as I'm positive it's a thing to get utilised to with time.Gotta dock it two eggs for some thing so blatantly stupid. It's a USB keyboard. Maybe the key registration issue can be fixed in firmware.

Incredibly nice hand rest on it, i don't have problems with my space bar like other people say taking into consideration all i use is the really leading left corner to press it for gaming. I've have like three new boards sent to me from Microsoft over the years to various addresses to get away with it from them breaking. Twice i've had it entirely die (for example pressing the C or X important Once would result in a combo like cv..,~ and also numerous of the keys stopped working). And lately my cable exactly where it meets the usb plug stripped off and the wires are now showing and with tape it has to be angled just the right way for it to turn on.

Purchased this a while back ahead of it became popular since I was just searching for a black keyboard. Owned it for about 4 years prior to I spilled water all more than it. I was really pleased to see they still sold this model and I purchased an additional one about a year ago. The lettering/numbering on the keys never ever wore off and I have never ever had an issue with it not working. Finest keyboard I ever owned hands down. None, a incredibly great product. Ergonomic and the leather rest feels good on my hands. Utilised it for gaming and typing applications for years...works fantastic.

Significantly more comfortable than regular KBs. When I took typing in HS, we had been taught to kind Ś" with our appropriate index finger. The split on the "natural" KBs puts it on the left. Because I don't do 10-key really considerably, I tend to kind numerals from the number row, and have really been complimented on my speed when performing that. I no longer use the Microsoft Natural as my main board, but have not employed any other split boards to any extent. I appear to bear in mind one from a peripheral mfr. that has (or had) the split that I like, although. I don't kind numbers as significantly as I utilised to....

Excellent keyboard, and wonderful places of the keys. The rapid links on the keyboard are extremely valuable and 5 of them are in location for customization. The cord is really long so you can tuck it out of the way or wrap it behind you desk and nonetheless reach the laptop or computer. As long as you use the instal disk this is a hassle cost-free installation. The speedy key for the mailbox only takes you to outlook, you cant set it up to take you to an on the net web page. This keyboard takes some obtaining use to, and the quick keys are quite helpful.

Wonderful drivers, all hotkeys are customizable. Very comfortable wrist rest. Good responsive numpad. I have to get used to pressing the "B" key with my left hand and "Y" with my correct hand. I purchased this keyboard to alleviate some carpal tunnel symptoms I was getting, and i think I produced a fantastic choice. Out of the box I worried how lengthy it would take me to kind promptly, yet it was actually fairly natural. Out of the box, it only took me a couple of minutes to get utilised to typing with my hands apart, and aside from the key habits I need to have to break, it appears like a wonderful keyboard. I have not had the spacebar problem that other people complained about.

Incredibly comfy keyboard but the reliability is a disaster. If you type in a "lab clean-room" this keyboard would be great so if that's your scenario cease reading, for the rest of you who will need an everyday keyboard in your property of workplace read on: This my 4th failed egro 4000 keyboard (some folks like me actually like these keyboards). Initially two failed right after the original 1 year warranty expired. MS now gives a three years on this keyboard. I bet they have a boatload of RMA's too. As a retired laptop or computer technician I attempted to repair one. Large mistake the encoder PCB has 1 of those LCD watch sort epoxied to the board chips. I would guess its a low power CMOS which is really susceptible to failure. As other review indicate I produced a additional effort not to get any liquid on this keyboard, yet it failed anyway. My program is protected by way of a whole home surge protector then a 1400VA UPS w/surge protection so power difficulties are extremely unlikely.I would strongly recommend if you want a dependable keyboard not to choose this model. I have numerous other MS keyboards, comfort curve 2000 natural ergo elite are quite dependable but lack the negative tilt and capabilities this keyboard has. It's fantastic though it works but don't depend on it to work. Commonly the electronics outlasts the mechanical parts, with sticking keys or no-operating contacts. This not the case with this keyboard so far Ɣ) it's generally been the encoder chip failure. Microsoft needs to re-engineer this keyboard's electronics PCB and replace this hi-failure rate microchip pronto!

Ridiculously comfortable to kind on and has been extremely durable. I've had this keyboard for about three years at my job and do a substantial amount of typing on it every day and I've never ever as soon as ran into a important acquiring stuck. The split keys, combined with utilizing the 14-degree gable and not getting the feet extended make for a completely strain-free of charge typing knowledge. As an unanticipated bonus, the keyboard also appears to preserve people today from utilizing my pc. The design is diverse enough from typical keyboards that when others attempt to use it they tend to be quickly discouraged since it feels like a completely foreign keyboard. Spacebar is loud, no acquiring about that. Also, the lettering decals on the left side of the keyboard wore off within the initially couple of months. Not a superior keyboard for playing games, period. There is a understanding curve with this keyboard. If you haven't applied 1 then it'll be a really diverse typing experience than any other keyboard you've applied. When I very first started at my existing job more than three years ago I employed a standard 104 key keyboard that came with the computer system and my wrists swiftly became strained with the quantity of typing I had to do and I found that I had to take breaks specifically to give my wrists a rest. This keyboard eliminated that issue entirely.

1. Eliminated the insidious CTS.2. Heavy, doesn't slide around.3. Able to fit, to some degree, folks of various heights at desks with diverse heights. Done working with a removable apron in front and two retractable legs in rear.four. All the buttons to control most every thing which includes bringing up your email software, controlling WMP and even Facebook if you do the simplest button programming..it actually is easy to do. I take up less space on my desktop with icons as all the launch functions are now covered by buttons.five. Padded wrist rests. Extremely appreciated. 6. Very nice key touch. A bit stiff at 1st, but loosens up rapidly with a firm feel..which I like. 1. This thing is heavy and Large which is very good and poor. Fantastic for keeping the keyboard in spot, poor if you need to have to move it aside (like when utilizing Flight Simulator).2. Some believe that having no USB ports is a bad factor. IMO it is not. USB has to connect a peripheral as nicely as provide power. Absolutely nothing does that like a powered HUB. Most USB circuits can handle only so considerably existing..becoming that their power supplies are small. And when I say current, it has to handle the present, in this case of the keyboard and any peripheral downstream. So I plug this directly into the MB and have a 7-way powered hub to deal with other USB requirements. THIS IS NOT A CON, but should be explained in my clumsy way. I've had M/S ergonomic keyboards because they were initial introduced. Would still have them but have a nasty habit of dumping cans of Dr Pepper on to them. This keyboard is good but you can only ask so much, so this replaces my last keyboard because of my becoming careless and stupid, NOT since it wore out. In a way glad to have this new board. Move functions and somewhat much better good quality in a board that makes the costs for other ergonomic boards look silly in comparison.
