its tiny, light, noiseless, great for small htpc, noticably more rapidly vs two 7200rpm 250gb drives I had in raid0,,, forget about single hdds this ssd eats them for breakfest, windows begins up way more quickly now, games load quicker also,, truly everything loads more quickly. Really quickly. Low energy consumption, practically silent.Windows 7 scores it a 7.8 on a ich10 controller with most recent intel rst ahci driver. 7.6 employing ms ahci driver. Expensive? Typical Pros for Sandforce SSDs and SSDs in common: low power, low-heat, fast-read instances. Doesn't completely eradicate I/O bottlenecks especially with lots of deletes and small writes. Got this to put in a PS3 mostly to play GT5. Map occasions decreased by 50-70%. Rapid and effortlessly installation into PS3.

I have had 3 in Raid- for the last month, and these new Callisto SSD's are a lot quicker then they're initial release of SSD's. Not a single challenge with config, or setup! Just three of these drives in Raid- are pretty much as rapidly as five of there other SSD's. I'm obtaining a 4th to put in my raid array! 2,000,000 hours of use...Wow, is all I can say! None If they come back in stock, I'd highly advocate jumping on them, trigger they sell out quickly!

Got this as a christmas present...THANKS KEV! functions extremely nicely, updated firmware just before the install......no problems there. Noticeable boost in speed, amazing results in hddtune. Packaged well. Cant wait to try it out in autodesk inventor and autocadd 2011. This is the first SSD i have ever employed and its awesome. It's so good i Virtually don't want to use it. none so far

I read that it is rapid. Although, I'm however to see it. Drive was only marginally functional upon arrival. So, I guess DoA isn't totally applicable. Drive goes offline with any attempted IO.Not enough high quality manage? My initial SSD expertise was not so pleasant. Just received new i7 Quad-Core Elitebook, replaced the stock drive with this SSD. Throughout Win7 install, drive goes offline around 30% file expansion phase. Only a tough reset makes it visible once more. Tried in i5 Quad-Core Win7 desktop: Goes offline on initial partition creation/format. Only cycling the power brings it back on the web. Soon after cycling energy, drive shows up and looks fine. Attempted copying couple of Gig to it... ten% by means of and it hangs my program. I upgraded the bios, installed the Intel RTS and still got same speeds. I decided perhaps the port was the dilemma and positive adequate when I plugged it in the suitable SATA (red) port, it gave me reads of 280 MB/S and writes of 270 MB/S with ATTO.

Just popped it into my late 2009 13 inch macbook pro (A1278) and it worked as expected, without having problem. The speed is noticeably better than my old disk drive - as advertised, the machine boots in about 15 seconds, and shuts down in under five. Applications launch virtually instantly. Excellent speed upgrade for the cost. None so far! The product's box was incredibly properly designed - Mushkin achieved an apple-like un-boxing expertise, which is pretty rare. The drive itself is very pretty - it's too bad it's living inside my laptop!

initially drive received was bad, it would disconnect itself whenever it was formatted and disappear from bios.second drive received had no problems. however, i am only achieving 195mb reads via hdtune and wei of 7.2.. a bit on the slow side... this is on a asus p5n-d deluxe mobo and on a rocket highpoint 620 sata card. ssd drive is aligned and ahci is enabled. i am guessing the slowness is probably due to my old program config rather than the drive itself but i cant be positive until my subsequent upgrade. 1st drive was bad, and not as rapidly as expected
