excellent ram pretty standerd ddr2 800 comes with heat spreaders and got totally free shipping. excellent price for 2 gig kit heat spreders r kinda goofy they slide true simple feels funy when pushing on them place in a WOW machine i was creating for a friend they do their job. dident try overclocking but whats the point... come on it just WOW. dosent take significantly to make it run.

I have a modest rig that is NOT overclocked but is often employed for graphics editing and playing games. Despite the continuous use, these sticks are nonetheless carrying out their job and doing it properly. I very advise them if you are on a price range! None. Ran excellent correct out of the box. No voltage changes or adjustments in the BIOS required at all. None so far. Running WHS and just necessary 2GB of RAM for my Zotac board - this fits the bill perfectly. Because this is for WHS, I won't be performing any overclocking so I can't genuinely judge how this RAM would do for that.

Looks cool, stays cool. Functions as expected. If you have an Ultra X-Wind cpu fan, Don't bother with this RAM. You'll have to remove the heatsink from the memory in order to install the cpu fan for clearance causes. Then you're left with the exact same old searching memory, might as nicely save your money. I ended up working with this ram in a different construct and it functions fine.

Wonderful price tag and excellent timings at the normal 1.8v. Operates great with no errors. Heat spreaders are an added bonus. Heat spreaders feel pretty flimsy On a GIGABYTE GA-MA780G-UD3H timings were not set properly at five-5-5-12 and rather had been set at five-5-five-18. I am reluctant to blame the memory on this one particular as perhaps the SPD was not set properly on the board simply because the Gigabyte board could not set the memory at 1.8v (it does not go below 1.9v). RAM was stable at five-five-five-12 right after changing it in the BIOS.I keep a close eye on timings simply because a lot of the memory manufacturers out there like to list the timings that the RAM is capable of and not essentially what the motherboard will read. Though this depends on the motherboard as effectively, there are some repeated offenders out there. Make positive you read the reviews if you're not interested in overclocking /overvolting your RAM.

Trustworthy, quick and inexpensive memory. A small difficult to install No complaints at all truly. I have 4GB in my rig and have no issues running a number of intensive audio processing applications simultaneously with extensive real time effects.

Inexpensive. newegg was fast, as usual. Other producers must take a seminar on packaging from Mushkin as I didn't need the Jaws of Life to open this packaging and if something were incorrect I could have sealed it back up when I returned it. As other reviewers have pointed out, heat spreaders make it so installation is not a snap. I am only making use of two slots out of 4 but I'm not completely confident I could use the other two slots if I wanted. I wasn't searching for overall performance as this was just for a HTPC, but I was seeking for a very good value as I was looking to move from 1 GB or ram to 2 GBs because Vista MCE was a little laggy. Installed, and they work just fine. Haven't had any difficulties with them. (I tend to stay away from overclocking, so if that's what you do, read some other reviews.) They do have extremely stylish heat spredders which look good via my window. Would've offered them five eggs, but the heat spredders, like other individuals have said, are a small on the weak side. It's not truly a big deal though. Just install them with care. I'd purchase them all over again. Newegg lists the timings as five-five-5-12, even though they're really 5-5-five-18. (As the Mushkin website says) Not genuinely a con since it's not Mushkin's fault.

This RAM is great and quick. I purchased a 2gb kit and used it for a month and had no issues with it. I then bought one more 2gb kit and have no troubles with the four x 1gb sticks. The only con is the heatsinks. I read other critiques saying how they can detach easily if you press on them. I didn't want to find out if they would detach when i installed them since they did really feel a tiny flimsy, but they work properly and preserve the RAM cool. they are a tiny tricky to install without pressing on the heatsinks, almost impossible with just your hands, but as long as you have a flat edged object to press on the smaller edges of the actual RAM stick, like a screwdriver, you can get them in quite simply.

under no circumstances not 1 dilemma,looks cool as h*ll in my case with the blue LED. can't get the exact same latency in a 2gb stick. AsRock G31M-S,E5200 cpu, XFX GT 220 1gb video, two gb of this ram. No dilemma at all playing NWN1 or NWN2.Acquire this ram you wont be disappointed!

Had trouble initially placing it in but tried once again and worked like a charm. Comp detects it and SC2 functions wonders now with 4gigs, I am not an more than clocker so I won't attempt to over clock the ram. Only con I have is not with the item but how it arrived. The case was beat to heck when I opened up the package and 1 of the ram sticks was out of its set place but no concerns with the ram so thats alright I guess just wish they would ship with a box not a flimsy bag.Oh a single issue I do have is that I don't like how the heatsink is rounded on top it tends to make you have to be slightly weary when putting them in. Some people said that the heatsink is flimsy but I messed with the ram far more then once and it was sturdy as all can be so it worked all great no issues that I see, I mean heck if you break that heatsink you need to be placing it in incorrect or a thing to use that a lot force lol.

Functions as stated, recognized by BIOS at five-five-five-18 timings. Superior price tag - the least expensive DDR2-800 2x1GB of any respected brand, when factoring in shipping. Great overclocker - I have it at 999mhz at the moment at stock voltage, which is impressive. Had it operating fine at 1050 but my MB is somewhat restricted and I was actually pushing the CPU and creating it run a bit hot, so I dialed every thing back a bit. More affordable than DDR2-1066 at practically the exact same speed, for me anyway. DDR2-800 was a LOT less expensive the last time I bought it, about 1.5-2 years ago, nearly half as low cost. Didn't come with a cool case badge like my GSkill memory did. Haven't messed with the timings however. I employed to choose Corsair memory, then I switched over to GSkill, which I nevertheless feel is superb. Purchased this on a super tight budget, and mainly because of excellent reviews. I will not hesitate to purchase Mushkin memory again, particularly if it is more affordable than GSkill.The packaging Newegg used was a tiny scary, thinking about that the package was handled by DHL initially and delivered by the USPS - just the Mushkin clamshell in a lightly padded envelope. It came just fine though.

I got 2 packs of this for my Dell Inspiron 530. It was 1 of the couple of sets of ram that I could uncover for the Dell. I'm glad I purchased it. Solid and stable. Not a con, but like several others have mentions, make certain you press down on the sides with installing and not the heat sinks. If you're trying to make a decision if you want to obtain it.. just get it! You wont regret it.
