Fast response from Mushkin to RMA. Memory was causing random lockups in Win 7 and causing lockups running MemTest86+. Mushkin tech assistance was extremely responsive and I have confirmation of shipment of replacement memory the exact same day they received the defective parts. If the replacement memory performs I will be satisfied.

The package it come in fits in a 8x5" bubble-wrap envelope and it only weighs .25lbs. So the shipping on the return was only ũ.56 through the USPS :PRapid RMA by way of NewEgg. The 2-three day delay warnings had me kind of worried. But the return passed inspection and they had the refund posted inside a few hours of receiving. They died immediately after 24 hours of barely any use.I started obtaining BSODs stating PAGING, POOL and IRQL errors. Which can all be memory associated - so I tested my RAM. The initial stick failed MemTest86 fully, 35+ errors inside the very first couple of tests. I didn't even bother letting it finish a total pass. Tried seating it in each slots many times and same thing just about every time. The second stick, however, would pass 20+ MemTest86 passes. But would still BSOD windows and crash specific applications with inaccessible memory sectors. In short, each sticks had been fubared. I've used Mushkin in builds for several clientele in the previous and never ever had a single complaint from any of them. So I ignored all the poor evaluations for this line and decided to use it in my new program to conserve a couple of bucks. Huge error. This will be the last time I get RAM from Mushkin. Their excellent control is certainly sub-typical. These ought to have been tossed in the recycling bin at the factory.

-Successful heat spreaders devoid of a lot bulk.-Good worth. -Incompatible with the Intel DH57JG motherboard. I bought this set of memory to go with my Intel i3 CPU and DH57JG motherboard HTPC method. The memory compatibility list on Intel's internet site was and still is pathetically smaller and the items are not readily obtainable. Following a handful of months of crashes and problems, I got critical with troubleshooting. The memory passed a complete night of Memtest86 with nary an error, nevertheless, it could not final two minutes of Prime95 without having halting. I tinkered with the BIOS settings but nothing would operate. I replaced the memory with a different brand of identical speed, voltage, and timings. Prime95 ran like a champ. My technique is now stable. So, who do I blame for this incompatibility, Intel or Mushkin? To tell you the truth, I don't care who is accountable. I am now stuck with memory I can't use and can't RMA mainly because it's not truly defective, just incompatible. I'm not going to sit right here and say, "Mushkin, you've lost my small business forever," but I will have reservations about future purchases.

Ran my system fine, but had to run on 2 GB Ƒ stick) due to the fact the very first stick was DOA. 1 stick came in non-functional (ran memory diagnostics to verify). 1 out of 2 working sticks on a first-time obtain of this brand left a bitter taste in my metaphorical mouth. Bought these back in August but wasn't planning on upgrading my Pc until this time, when i found out the one was a dud. Bummer, cause newegg's 30-day policy says I can not return them for my money back. I don't trust the brand now to acquire a lot more to get the very same brand/model in my computer system. Manufacturer Response:Greetings, We apologize for the inconvenience. Please make contact with me at nick@mushkin.com and I'll aid you out with receiving the defective module replaced. Thanks for choosing Mushkin Enhanced!

Low cost (้ for 4GB), decent high quality if you are lucky to get working sticks. Windows 7 ࿠ bit) rating is 7.five out of 7.9 for four sticks ƕ.five for 1 and 5.7 for 2 sticks) with ASUS EVO motherboard. One stick was DOA. RMA was quick with Newegg. Received new sticks in ten days. Tight timing - Memtest86+ generated a lot of errors with speeds above 1399, so, I was able to overclock AMD X6 two.8GHz CPU only by five% with Mushkin sticks. Mushkin requires getting a receipt for RMAs or you need to have to spend a fee to Mushkin to validate your buy. Who keeps receipts for a extended time if there is a Lifetime warranty? Shame on them. It's challenging to uncover products made in the USA these days. Anytime I see "Made in the USA" item, I buy it if I want it. Nonetheless, with Mushkin's policy for buyers to provide receipts for RMAs, I will under no circumstances acquire their solutions in the future unless they adjust this policy. For example, Seagate (hard drive manufacturer), does not require to have a receipt for RMAs. Why Mushkin needs it?

I was able to use these in an overclocked system with a different pair of RAM, if I turned off unganging, including some boost to the FSB. After extensive tests, it was still a performance boost to go from 4GB+big FSB boost+ganging to 8GB+small FSB boost+unganged. I didn't bother testing how far I could push them on their own, though. The only shame of these if you're buying them to be the only RAM in a system is that it's not 8GB. But who really needs 8GB? It can help, but, it also doubles the cost for a new system. For an upgrade into two spare slots, I can definitely recommend these.

Affordable, reasonably priced, and stable. I got them as part of a shell shocker deal combined with the ASUS M4A89GTD pro/USB 3 motherboard, normally I only use patriot, but I figured for the price Id give them a try. They appear very good in my case, but much more importantly they perform properly and run cool, absolutly no matters. They even fit under the fan of my Zalman CNPS 10X flex cooler (I Can move the fan to the other side to allow for heatsinks, but prefer it on the memory side) with no problems, although the patriot RAM I would typically use would force me to move the fan. Patriot is nevertheless my initially alternative, but Muskin is definetly in my recomended parts list now and will likely be acquiring from them again in the future. Not genuinely a con, but one thing overclockers must be created aware of. The heatsinks on these are excellent sufficient to dissipate heat on stock settings, and do so quite nicely, but are to thin to let for considerably overclocking, they were under no circumstances developed to do so. This isn't a dilemma for me considering that I don't overclock, and my initial impression was they had been junk when I picked them up and they felt extremely light, but after operating them am extremely impressed with how cool they hold at stock settings. Would definetly purchase once again. Like I mentioned, Solid performer as long as your not arranging on overclocking, and seems to be of good excellent. Would obtain from again.Program I put it in: ASUS M4A89GTD pro/USB three., AMD Phenom II 945, 4 gigs of Muskin silverline DDR3 1333, ASUS ATI 4890 and Saphire 4850 in Crossfire, WD 500 gig hard drive and Hitachi 500 gig challenging drive for storage, Powered by a Coolermaster 750 watt PSU, and encased in a Coolermaster CM 690.

Compatible with ASUS/AMD 880G board. Competitively priced, at least when I bought them. Mushkin has done well for me in the past. Not wickedly fast at stock speeds, but gets the job completed. I get memory from quite a few key brands, and this is some of the superior stuff.

Exceptional brand reputation, high top quality, name brand chips, outstanding consumer service no hassle returns and replacements A small pricey but that isn't their fault, DDR3 is sort of new and these are not cheapie chips utilised in this product. I have applied a number of Mushkin memory merchandise over the years...all have been superb...even their value line; in fact I can believe of maybe one failure in all that time. I bought an MSI motherboard with AMD AM3 chip and nvidia sli help. I assembled it and it all worked the very first time, no problems, superior than the 1st encounter with a gigabyte board; wish I'd purchased these for that setup. If developing a high end technique good memory is a must, don't scrimp there if you can assist it. These are not the "slowest" memory chips readily available but they aren't the fastest either. These will make most of us builders pleased and possibly even maintain the mild overclockers content also. The method runs very smooth and incredibly stable..fantastic memory has a lot to do with that.
