i bought a refurbished product, it actually came incomplete! the product itself is working fine. i had to do a firmware upgrade. I would highly recommend NOT buying from CompUSA, product needed a firmware upgrade, showing that it was not really

Purchased this about a month ago from TD. Quick shipping and product worked right out of the box. The firmware was already fully updated and was ready to be configured. Did not come with the bottom plate, but for only $30 compared to $80 for a new one, I can live without the bottom plate. Good buy... dont pass this deal up.

I'am very hsppy with TD the problem I have is with When I received the router their was not a manual, installation CD just a form 203-10173-01 stating that I could download a manual from their website which I did. The manual for that router contained alot of wrong info as far as setting up the router. after several hours of trying setup the router I called a local geek and he set up the router for $75.00 I registered it and was supposed to send a password for email support still have not received it (Forgot pasword does not work) I would think that if a company refurbs a router they would update the firmware include a install CD and a manual.

Great little router, only thing i had issues with was the firmware had to be sent to it twice to get it to stick. The device was supposed to come with a stand but no stand was in the box so i had to rig up something so its not just sitting there on its side.

I purchased the refurb one. It works great and very fast and easy to setup.

This is a factory referbished unit, good quality netgear router, had latest firmware etc. the only complain is it came by itself, no power pack, no cd, no manual, but very low price, very fast!!!!

Wanted a N wireless router for a reasonable price since I just got a laptop with wireless N. Couldn't have been more happy with it at $35. Took 10 minutes to set up and besides a couple of dropped connections with my iphone it works fantastic.

The latest firmware from Netgear stabilizes this router. It is easy to set up and very fast. It is capable of streaming HD Video over 100 feet. The only negative is that this router DOES NOT support WDS. This router does not support wireless access points or bridges.

Came next day, however never used it, so everything I've received fro td has been excellent so far so there!

I have used this product in the past and was disappointed when I went to a new product. All I expect is that my internet be available when I need it and fast enough to not slow me down. This product always delivers and I will not switch again. I was also impressed with how fast I received the product I received it the day after I ordered. Never expected that!

Buyers beware when purchasing mail order from here. They don't ship all the parts to you. TD doesn't accept names of specific companies in product reviews. This makes it difficult to rag on TD

Some of the reviews are correct. No base(I don't care) and software not in package(who needs software? You can download the software though. It took me a few minutes to figure out the default settings were off, and once I fixed that, everyting worked great!

Do not buy this router. It does not work with Apple Iphone. It keeps diconnecting the iphone. Also this is referbished and does not come with the stand. If you call net gear for help your call gets routed to another country and they tell you to call apple and are no help.

Router was sent without base called customer service base was to be sent. Never received.

Never a problem with Linksys. It's pretty much plug n play. Netgear didn't even come with the software it referenced. You have to already be connected to the ineternet to set it up. The setup is similar to going from Baltimore to Washington via China. Never again will Netgear get a dime of my money.

I purchase this router on Nov.2 and it died on me on Nov.19, not even an year. A lesson learned for me.

I've been running the Netgear for about 2 weeks and I can't say enough good things about it. It's a very capable system for WIFI. I'd highly recommend it and I'm impressed by this site as well.

I am running Windows Vista and read reviews that said I would need update to install. No need, this product was plug and play with minimal effert to get it operating. Would recommend this to everyone. The price and ease are the selling point. I am running 2 hardwired and 1 wireless system and have had great speed rates since installing.

The price was not bad it supports Gigabit broadband speeds with wireless 802.11n. The wireless speed is now equal to the old wired speed. I had to adjust the Router to broadcast the wireless signal through web based settings. Its not a hassle if you know how to do it but please be prepared if you can't get a wireless signal. Also, mine was missing the base foot that helps the unit stand up. Tech Supports says some units ship that way so live with it. Other than that the unit does what it is suppose to quite well. So I recommend it with a few caveats listed.

Though not exactly the WNR854T, I purchased a recertified WNR834T and after a year it conked out. I have a feeling that their entire line of WNR8??T's may be defective since so many of them are being sold as recertified.
