price? Had to fiddle with back to back CAS delay to get it working at rated speeds. Google "back to back CAS delay". Larger = worse performance. Asus P6T SE + Obsidian was crashing in Prime95 in ㅇ mins. Saw another assessment here with "back to back cas" set to 8 so I read about it. Appears this setting is also low in Asus by default for this memory so I set it to 8 and Prime95 has ran for about 50 mins stable so far. I will put it to 6 if this is stable. Lower "back to back CAS delay" = greater performance.Google for much more particulars but hopefully this will support an Asus owner.

OCZ has the best buyer support but their memory failure rate is sort high. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Rapidly, excellent looking, triple channel and outstanding value. DOA units appear to be frequent - happened with me also on the first go-round. Shipping these back price me three bucks so no large deal.Could also use a slightly much more advanced heat sink, but if you don't overclock or over-energy these, they'll stay stable. Bear in mind to set your BIOS settings to match the RAM specs!and... can i have them with some nice, hidden blue LED lights?

None Genuinely..Purchased them on sale so I dont really feel as ripped off as if I purchased them at the insane price its at now.. Works like a low/cheap level ram. Most surely does not clock to 1600, i cant even get it stable at 1333. Going to RMA it.. I am using this in an i7 920 OC'd 3.four ghz develop. I have an MSI x58 board and I am in a position to use the ram at 1066 stable. Anything higher then that, I get errors (either BSOD or Windows wont even load). I do not suggest buying this ram and I will most most likely go back to corsair. Only bought this because it was on sale and had a ฮ mail in rebate. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you are possessing issues. It's performing extremely effectively for me at 9-9-9-24Just o/ce'd a knew i920 to three.8Ghz on EVGA X58 LE I was able to o'c really effectively at four.2 on air cooling (v8), BUT! Temperatures went to up 95DEGREES Quick. Tomorrow I will try to o/c the ram a bit additional but I will possibly remain at advertised clocks. None so farAlthough reading some of the critiques here may recommend OVZ doesn't have q.c. for these chips to decrease value. Going to do much more testing, but 6 hours under heavy load shows no complications.

Decent price for a six GB DDR3 kit. I havent pushed them to their limits however, but i down clocked them from 1600-1450, and this allowed me to tighten the timings to 7-7-7-16 instead of the stock 9-9-9-24. Also they use alot much less voltage then my 4 GB kit did 2.1v compared to 1.6v now. OCZ is also a fantastic corporation, in no way had any RMA difficulties with them! DDR3 is still pricey! Place this in my i7 buildi7 920Foxconn BloodrageOCZ 6 GB DDR3eVga GTX 275runs plazing fast!

Reputable company, superior price. Difficult to get to stock settings Alright, I can't give this a 5 eggs due to the fact it just won't run 1600mhz, but I'm giving it a 5 eggs to offset the 2 eggs I gave yesterday. I'd give this 3.five - 4 eggs personally. Perhaps it is the board like OCZ mentioned, and even though I could not stabilize 1600mhz, I was able to get 1333mhz stable by altering the QPI frequency.I'm running tighter timings and at 1T command rate at 1333mhz, so essentially it's much better than 9-9-9-24 2T @ 1600mhz if you ask me.Sorry to OCZ for my previous review, but the reality does stay that this board will nonetheless not happily run 1600mhz, no matter whether it's the RAM or the board. For any novices out there, try testing other 1600mhz RAM if you end up returning these. See if those do superior just before posting a negative review. I may possibly have acted too rapidly... nevertheless not 100% satisfied for my wasted time and not receiving its rated spec.

Affordable and worked as advertised. One of the sticks was bad, causing BSODs and lock-ups. I didn't understand that 1 stick was bad until I tried to upgrade to a 64-bit OS to use the full 6GB... While using the two good sticks, almost everything worked good. 3 eggs. Would have received five if all 3 sticks worked. I hadn't changed any stock settings. -Low cost when i bought it ~๪-very good consumer service-excellent assist from the forums from ocz techies-comparatively quickly RMA service (fyi the replacements ship from taiwan)-the replacements had been shipped as soon as ocz received my faulty memory -first set had one faulty stick in it when running memtest86+ The memory marketplace is genuinely inflated proper now, so try to get a good deal on theseAlso for I had to adjust the "back to back cas delay" (option only applicable in Asus mobos) in BIOS to 8 clocks in order for these babies to run with out fault in OCCT's anxiety test using the "large information set alternative" (stresses memory more)even though it could run on stock settings, (but this would fail occt's test)

Installing 2 out of three cards functions fine, so you can get it operating and aren't stuck with a dead box waiting for an RMA. Installing threeǙ sticks gives me a BSOD and just doesn't work. I've never noticed RAM rated this poorly on NewEgg prior to, and now I know why. I can't get it to work at lower clock speeds or timings either, and I'm getting the very same complications every person else reports with far lower clock speeds than advertised in the SPD.1 of the "Manufacturer's Responses" says that they do this mainly because lots of them would be DOA with the higher advertised settings. Maybe if the chips can't do the higher settings, they shouldn't be sold as such... I attempted to save ฤ and clearly am going to pay a lot additional than that with my time. Don't make my mistake: go with a much better brand. I think my MB is operating at low voltage on the chips, but I can't increase it without having flashing the BIOS -- I just bricked this model of MB trying to flash it so I'm not going to go down that road once more. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the complications. Please check out the link beneath and generate a support ticket to get in touch with our support staff if you would like to RMA for a replacement kit. Your reference to the SPD becoming programmed at lower speeds has to do with particular motherboards having concerns booting and not due to issues with our memory.Thank youExternal Link(s): OCZ Support Page|

I guess it lets my computer run for at least 3 hours ahead of a BSOD. It detected as 4gb in triple channel mode rather of 6gb, if i rearranged the DIMM slots incorrectly and set it up for dual channel then it detected all 6gb but with plenty of BSODs. I switched all the slots about to see if only 1 stick was negative, nevertheless it detected it as not being present in the second slot no matter what...I returned my motherboard and got a new one but the very same issue occurred, even so this time it detected every single slot as getting full but only 4gb of RAM were shown and it still BSODs. A two and a half hour session in memtestᄢ came back with 598 errors. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are quite sorry for the dilemma. None. BSOD proper out of the box. Tested individually and discovered two of 3 sticks poor. It won't run at advertised settings with out going into oc recovery. Works OK if you don't mind random crashes. OCZ has fairly informative forum. Maybe my dilemma was just that my motherboard (Asrock X58 Extreme) was certain, but I doubt it, due to the fact I am now using a various make of non-verified memory of identical speed and latency, and it works perfectly. Produced random Windows crashes (BSODs). No matter what suggested timings or voltages I tried from OCZ's forum, it would not run stable (though weak settings improved things somewhat). Even at 1033, the most stable settings I could find would cause a couple Test 5 errors in Memtest86+ in about one-fourth of all passes. Perhaps I just had a poor module. Whatever, I returned it and got one more slightly far more pricey make of memory in a different brand, which works fine. If you have random crashes following installing this memory, or even just to be prudent, run Memtest86+ to see whether the memory program is working correctly. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the issue. Testing one stick at a time will verify if there is a dilemma. We may have been able to suggest some timings and settings on our support forums at the link below.Thank youExternal Link(s): OCZ Support Forums|
