PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910W Silver 80+ ATX 12V 2.2 EPS12V 24PIN Active PFC Power Supply
Comment:
Completely silent running a Core i7 920ʃ.2Ghz, Dual 4870 1GB video cards in Crossfire X, three difficult drives, and 2 optical drives. Voltages are stable even when operating OCCT and the process still stays silent. Really extended cables for any conceivable computer system case. Even has dual 8pin 12V CPU load bearing plugs in case you want to do dual Xeons in there! Longer than you typical power supply (not seriously a con, because that's how the silence is acheived, but it may well not fit in some mid towers). The quantity of SATA and molex energy cables could stand to be reduced by 1 as there are three lengths of cables with 12 SATA power cables and eight molex cables total. Bringing that down to eight and 4 respectively would not hurt functionality IMO. It amazes me that this power supply can keep practically dead silent operating a Core i7 with dual higher-end graphics cards, and still obtain 88% effectiveness. My old Silencer 610w I replaced would run the aforementioned system, but it was like a hair dryer given that it was close to max capacity. The reality that the 610w would run it all day lengthy, although a less costly 850w I tried very first (it died within a day) couldn't manage the load, speaks volumes about the good quality of Computer Power and Cooling goods. They've got a buyer for life!

High-end Single Rail. Decreased considerably of the electric buzzing noise from my EVGA GTX 285 for the duration of game play. Quiet... every thing else in my Pc is louder. Rear-mounted fan moves more air out of the unit. The dimension is a about 1 inch longer than regular energy supply, hits up against my major mounted fan...but still fits.Lian-Li Computer-60 Plus upgraded from Corsair HX620W, worked fantastic till I installed the GTX 285. The video card began buzzing on game solution screen and game play. Some of the recommendations was to move from multi rails PSU to a single rail. Much of the buzzing noise has gone away.

+ Quiet as advertised+ Minimal heat generation 80+ certified, but not 80+ Gold or equivalent like the newest models. I've applied this power provide in my last three builds (the very same one particular -- no need to have to buy the exact same thing more than and more than) and it has worked quietly and perfectly. When I had a issue with a video card, EVGA asked if my power provide was up to snuff. I replied with "I have a Pc Power & Cooling Silencer 910W" to which they replied, "Well, it certainly isn't your power supply."

The eight-pin ATX-12V power cable reached to my EVGA E758 connector in an Antec 900 case. This cases makes use of a bottom mount PSU so I was a bit worried about this. No problem reaching the MB 24-pin power connector. Has a bazillion SATA connectors. None so far. Nope.

+ Insanely quiet, and I am incredibly picky about noise. I couldn't tell the issue was on, so out of curiosity I temporarily replaced my video card with an old fanless unit and turned off the CPU cooling fan -- and I nonetheless couldn't hear the energy provide unless I put my ear up to it. There truly isn't any point in obtaining a fanless unit.+ Still operates fine immediately after 2 years. I've had about 5 Computer Power & Cooling power supplies in the last 15 years, and all of them still work nowadays, though the oldest was retired -- it was an old AT form aspect (remember these?). - Overkill for nearly any pc.Even my quad-core i7 overclocked to four.6GHz on all 4 cores and nVidia GTX580 running Crysis doesn't draw far more than 300W from the wall. In other words, this energy provide could energy 3 higher-finish computer systems and have space to spare. I wouldn't bother with some thing of this higher an output unless you run triple-SLI/Crossfire or unless you want your power supply to get bored. If you study the occasional DOA troubles with Computer Energy & Cooling it usually points to getting mishandled by UPS. This tells me that Computer Energy & Cooling could perhaps enhance their packaging -- their energy supplies are fine.

Stabilized my machine with plenty of power to spare. Mine's loud, can effortlessly hear the woosh from the fan, even at idle. I'd go so far to say the fan is operating at complete speed all the time. It's in an Antec 900 situation and I've even taken the side off to see if there would be any alter, which there wasn't. Ambient temp in the space is around 75FቴC. I don't know if I have a faulty unit or if a newer motherboard is required for appropriate fan control. It's just not quiet like other people have been posting. I'm making use of it with an older 680i LT MB and an E8400 OC'd to 3.9Ghz. The CPU, NB and GTX570 are all liquid cooled. Searching to upgrade to a P67 w/ 2500k or 2600k so I suppose I'll see if anything adjustments when I upgrade.

A lot of power and cables. Quieter than my old a single - I can't hear it above my situation fan. Previously, for the duration of some gaming, my Pc would just shut off. I identified my 450w provide was the challenge. Upgraded to this monster and all issues solved. I can even OC now :) The unit is Large. You've got to have space not only for the unit itself (was three" longer than my original) but the huge clump of cables coming out of it. It took a bit of trial to get this fitted properly. The business posts factors why they don't, but I seriously wish they would use modular cabling. This factor has a TON of cables. Practically surely, this is a lot more power than you need. But it does run effectively, so count on to conserve on some energy expenses.

I needed additional power than my old P&C Turbocool 510W ATX PFC PS could present due to the fact my old 8x AGP ATI X800 PE video card died.About the only AGP card left for this aging AGP/PCI slot platform was the Sapphire HD-3850 needing dual molex inputs. Also have an old Athlon 64 3500+ CPU in MSI K8N Neo2 mobo, 1gb DDR, SB X-Fi Platinum, Plextor, & 3 IDE HD's.So I went back to the legendary (Maximum Pc Dream Machines, and so forth.) Pc P&C brand with additional energy. When I got it hooked up appropriately, it offers me all I want, and can be utilized for new Computer when I get the $$$ to upgrade. This is only a drawback due to the fact P&C (& probably other mfg's) assume somebody like me would only be employing this PS on at least a newer PCI-E...and why I marked fourǛ rating. As such, they did not involve the 24 to 20 pin adapter I necessary for the mobo, but I had it from the P&C 510W. In contrast to this preceding PS, 1 of this 910W's 24 pin plugs near the latch was empty. It did not have a single P3 four pin needed for mobo, but rather had a cable ending in two unmarked 4 pin plugs. As a outcome, I had to make 3 phone calls to P&C's toll free of charge tech help (spoke with Alan), who Instantly knew all the answers, looked up my mobo platform inside seconds to confirm the (intentionally) missing pin on 24 pin connector would be fine for me.I feel they must mark the connectors (i.e. P3) & give a reference to them in enclosure paper to give certainty. Also I would have liked 2-3 additional molex connections, but I fully grasp their require to create for the future. I wish I could give ten stars for P&C's tech assistance, but hopefully P&C will read this. Most significant issue was their not like a 24 to 20 pin adapter, which if I didn't already have it from old PS, would have been dead in the water, and not pleased. I can\'t emphasize it enough that there are quite a few of us forced to use older system due to economy, and at the least need to get the mainboard adapter included.Apart from that a single issue, I would often recommend P&C.Outstanding knowledgeable & friendly tech assistance makes a big statement. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we appreciate your comments, and are pleased that tech assistance was able to assist you with your connections. We want to thank you for your sort words and we will forward your comments to management. Thanks

The best PSU, and for not too significantly None This beast will power practically any method with the smoothest, steadiest, and most trustworthy power you can get. I personal a Corsair 1000x modular, and it's a discomfort distributing the power across the rails without overtaxing 1. No worries with this baby. I prefer not worrying about loose cables. This supply is for people with lots of devices in a major case, seeking for best performance and reliability. It beats Just about every PSU out there for this purpose. It's not for individuals who need three GPUs, or gamers who don't have very quite a few devices in the case (too numerous wires).

A lot of power for the price tag. Excellent make high quality.Highly effective. 1 of the SATA connectors came with out the backing on it. So, when I unpacked the PSU the rest of the connector fell off exposing the wires. If I had not caught this there would have been a big boom! I ended up working with electrical tape to shield the exposed wires.Had this psu been modular I just would have left out that connector. Nevertheless, this poses a huge risk to the safety of the system. Poor high quality manage this time. Eventually I will fix this myself and put another sata connector on it. Thanks to my electrical understanding. A single month and running strong. Have had no troubles yet. The auto power switch in the thing appears to perform flawlessly (Before I had plugged it into the normal american outlets, now I have mine plugged into an appliance outlet so I don't more than draw the regular circuits in my home). The dual CPU power lines is wonderful for my EVGA x58 classified and my overclocking, by no means will have to worry about not getting enough juice.A lot of SATA cables if I want to run a RAID array at some point with a bunch of tough drives. Plenty of Molex connectors for any other stuff I have. 4 PCI-E connectors for when I wanna SLI...Fan is mega quiet. Barely audible unless your really pushing this factor to its power limit. Even so, you have to be employing a lot of juice to make the fan spin up. Considering that it has wonderful efficiency... it runs very, very cool. No LEDs... I like it that way since there's no PSU's with red fans to match my method anyway... Howard Dean: We are gonna go to single rail power supplies! Byy I mentioned a lot for both Molex and SATA connectors. Of course I went into this realizing how several cables I would be getting, on the other hand due to the fact it is not modular I had no clue what to do with all of them. There is at present 1 SATA, 2 Molex and 2 PCI-E wires that I have no use for.My motherboard is the exception to the excellent score even so. My Classified board has a Red light in the north bridge shaped like the EVGA logo that fades in and out even when the pc is off. This seems to make this power provide make a incredibly, quite high pitched noise when it lights up. At initially I thought the noise was coming from my north bridge, but about a week later I realized it was truly the power provide. This whining fades in and out with the light, which would be annoying. Thankfully it is quiet and not audible from about a foot or so away. You have to be proper behind this in order to readily hear it (or be annoyed by it).Phew... lucky me. Gotta say if this were modular, then this would be the be all and finish all of power supplies. I bought this originally at a minor sale price tag of 190 dollars. Even now at 200 I would nonetheless very recommend this.

This is a very high quality PSU, I believe one of the best produced. The power it delivers is the cleanest and most stable about and it will perform equally to or better than most 1000w units. Ⴘ+ Silver*Single 74A იV rail*Seasonic guts*Killer warranty*Gobs of power Huh?... I'm not going to whine about it not getting modular. This is a actual PSU. My prior PSU was a re-certified Silencer 750 Quad that now powers my girlfriend's rig. It is a Great unit that sold me on Computer P&C for life. When I started my search for a slightly a lot more effective unit, I looked at this one particular and the 950 MK II. I then identified out that the MKII is a Sirfa create rather than the battle-tested and far superior Seasonic guts of this model. I can only hope we aren't seeing the marginalization of the Pc P&C reputation by OCZ. Though a slightly more aged design, this unit is the real deal.

Ideal PSU for under 赨. As the title says I learned my lesson. Bought a Corsair 850TX for my system. A month and 3 dead tough drives later I replaced that with one of these. Utilizing HW Monitor you can see the difference. On the 12 volt rail the Corsair would dip to 11.83 volts while stressing the system. The PCP unit doesn't even flinch and the 12 volt rail by no means dips beneath 12.10 volts. I am running a Q9550 OC'd to 3.8 Ghz, two GTX 285 OC'd to 720񳈠񳅨, a blu ray drive, dvd drive, and two difficult drives and this PSU laughs at it. I generally utilized PCP units before but the price of the Corsair swayed me. I have to lay the blame on my 3 toasted tough drives on the Corsair PSU and by no means once again will I purchase anything but PC Power. Don't make the same mistake I produced, pay the extra 70 bucks and get one of these. Nicely worth it. Anybody want to acquire a Corsair 850TX? lol The motherboard and CPU power cables could have been longer so they would route behind the mobo plate. Not a large deal but would have helped with cable management. Too several sata cables for me but greater than not enough.
