These are the nicest, quietest optical drives I've seen. I've purchased bargain drives in the past but never again. I had a problem with LG's being recognized by Windows 7 but the Plextors came up, were recognized and performed flawlessly. I'll buy these again.

this drive is quiet and super fast! i would buy again! it does not have the tray which can hold a disc in a vertical position which kinda sucks as i am useing it as an external drive and i cant stand it on its side, but other than that it is GREAT!

For one the look is sexy and it makes my computer look good with the shiny tray to match the other shiny parts of the computer. I have burned DVD's one right after the other without a hiccup and fast. Although a little pricey compared to some, I still will always love my sexi-plexies.

It does the job like its suppose to. Simply plug n play. Although its not as quiet as I hoped. But my case seems to magnify the sound anyway

I bought two of these to use in a system I built about two months ago. They are working flawlessly, and I have had zero issues of any sort. Read everything I've tried in them, and burn solid discs. Nice players.

I have used this Plextor LightScribe drive over the past three weeks. I found it to operate very smoothly, quiet, and fast. I downloaded the LightScribe software but haven't printed anything yet. I do, however, like the idea that I do not have to buy a special printer to label my CDs. I have always had good luck with Plextor drives and would highly recommend this particular that is looking for a quality drive with a very nice software package.

I've had this cd dvd burner for just over a month now, and I love it. Works great right out of the box. No problems with my computer recognizing the sata connection, or with any of the drivers. This drive is very quiet, and does exactly what it is supposed to do time and time again. For the price of this drive you just can't go wrong. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone. Also T.D. does an awesome job of getting it shipped out right away!!

Bought 2 of these units based on reviews and knowledge of company by a friend that owns a fiber optics company. Have had units for about 2 weeks and tried burning lightscribe disks for DVD and CD. Worked flawlessly. Seems better than the MADDog units I had that started to go bad. The included software, Creator 10 sucks. Could not install without reconfiguring my PC as pre the referral from Plextor to software developer. Not worth all that!!!!!!

I needed a DVD CD reader Writer for a new build so I picked this one, very happy I did I haven't used the Light scribe yet but everything seem to be working fine. this one looked like a good deal to me

I added this unit as a secondary drive. It performs well but i give it low marks because of the software. Plextor utilities won't recognize the device. It returns the error that it cannot find a Plextor drive. The burning software works perfectly as does the lightscribe. I tried to find a solution to the problem but it is not mentioned except where models are not covered. This model is not listed and I would think it would not be included if it was not compatible with this drive. Since it works I have not made a great effort to figure out why the utilities do not recognize the drive.
