Good name, heatsink on the low cost Doesn't work in my motherboard. I think this RAM is larger than 1.8v since my motherboard loves my GEIL RAM, but even with a CMOS clear will not boot with this stuff. A single of the two Sticks worked.Newegg is the best Online retailer by far. The stick that did perform comes up as a PC2 6400 at www vital com. The personal computer calls for PC2 5300. I don't know if its worth the time and work to send the negative module back. This is my 1st encounter with PNY, and I'm not impressed. This does come about typically with Memory, but it nonetheless sucks.

So far so excellent. I've always loved PNY merchandise. Adding this and my new graphics card also require a new power provide. Not seriously a con, but it does suck forking over more dough then needed for a program upgrade. If it wasn't that I already had 2gb and only Vista Residence 32bit, I'd be purchasing an additional a single of these. /cry

Excellent RAM. Had for more than 2 years and not a single problem. n/a I've bought PNY items ahead of in a GPU, some other RAM, and so on. They're a truly excellent brand as far as I've experienced.

Purchased for a buddy as a inexpensive option that would do the trick. Great price, quick shipping. 1st stick I had to send back. Kept receiving memory error popups when do anything inside the OS. It was not technically DOA as it still functioned but had apparent issues as soon as it was inserted. So I guess you could call it DOA. When requesting a replacement the Newegg rep told me it was not worth them supplying a return shipping label. Not certain if it was because of the cost or simply because the ram is far from fancy. Either way I got to keep the problematic ram and the new ram was shipped off with speed acquiring it more rapidly then when I got the initial 1. However there is absolutely nothing you can really do about ram the moment it goes negative or even worth it for that matter. Thanks Newegg for not generating me send off the undesirable ram!

I order it sunday on the 18th of may well, came to my door at 11ᜌ on the 20th of might, once more 2 days, that is service and the price is to great!, and PNY memory is to great!

Inexpensive, ran good before having complications with it. Parts of the memory have gone poor now causing lock up difficulties and errors about unable access many memory address.

Came in the sealed retail PNY plastic packaging which was nicely reinforced and nicely packed to make certain no flexing through shipment. Worked right out of the package. No troubles with installation. I was upgrading an aging Dell system that was lagging noticeably after installing Ubuntu 10.10. When I had Windows XP installed, I noticed the exact same performance difficulties. I went from 2x256MB 鹀MB) to 1.5GB total and it made a world of difference. None so far. I will most likely be getting extra sticks to fill out the program to maximum memory because this module is a wonderful value for the brand, size and efficiency.

No difficulties, performs fantastic, cost-free shipping! Non honestly ive had 1gb of this operating my WHS for six months now with no problems at all and decided to buy 1 additional to make my server complete. Its not meant for hardcore use but best for a lite/average machine or WHS

It's extremely quickly and very compatible with lots of mobo. If you not confident which DDR2 will work with your mobo, this is the one. Excellence packaging, well style (heat spreader), and life time warranty. It charges much more than other brand. Manufacture net web site is unhelpful. Specification is not published. Brand name and high quality item came at a greater price. If you are developing a perform laptop and want high quality memory then you need to acquire this memory.
