This ram is comparatively affordable and performs nicely when installed on each XP SP3 and Win 7, beta, ultimate, and qualified. Nicely, it operates. Mine was new, no fingerprints or open packaging. Fit was snug but not also tight. Picture shows, and specs say it comes with heat spreaders. So where are they? Mine came as bare sticks. Kinda pricey at 75 bucks. Far better timing =DApparently not quite recommended for More than Clocking I read in couple of locations, I hear they fry pretty effortless at quite low OC's, haven't tried OC mine but kinda hesitating. If everyone could tell me their results that would be fantastic. I want a Cookie!

The PROs are New Egg who generally does a splendid job! PNY memory only reads as "Single Channel" - not "Dual Channel" as advertised. I called PNY help, not possible to get to a actual particular person. Emailed PNY assistance and received generic answers with no true info on what could result in memory to study as Single Channel. Finally known as New Egg to RMA following BIOS update did not resolve the challenge. I upgraded my motherboard BIOS and checked for compatibility difficulties - none located. Worked appropriate out of the box with no troubles at all. None that I know of. I am operating Vista 32bit. Clearly I only see 2.7 of the RAM installed until I upgrade to 64bit. But I noticed a difference in how my machine runs (HP Pavilion Slimline). I love the heat sinks on it as effectively. Good high quality, trustworthy/stable Ram with wonderful timings and speed for the price. Applied in a HTPC so heat is not an issue as this is no gaming machine but the heat spreaders are often nice Packaging required a knife and didnt pop open which i fully grasp is for the thieves in retail stores but i couldnt leave this box blank threw these in a Shuttle XPC and they are pleased in their new property, running vista like a champ

4gb, it operates, no issues. none Put in an old Dell Optiplex GX520, bumping it up from 1 to 4gb. Noticeable speed raise. I'm going to place the Windows 7 beta on it now :)

For what I have used the memory for, it is absolutely compatable and functions wonderful. Had to return for 1 defective rail. Although the manufacturer warranties them for life, it was nonetheless covered beneath Newegg and they replaced it with no concerns asked (other than what is incorrect and how i came to the conclusion of the memory being negative). The new memory they replaced it with works to this day with no additional problems.
