I was searching to up grade the ram in a method I'd constructed a year ago. I went with the DDR2 667 over the DDR2 800 do to the fact my computer will run each, but this was less costly. I understand I won't get the overall performance out of it that I will the DDR2 800, but beggars can't be choosers DDR2 800 isn't the similar cost. lol I've completely rebuilt my pc with New Egg components, and never ever had a difficulty but. The only portion that has failed me is the keyboard I abused for a year (I'm a gamer and chat fanatic). Constantly delighted with the parts I get from here.

(no refund from newegg) I known as PNY and unfortunately, I want to send in both sticks and there is no way to just send 1 to get it repaired. Why? I don't know. They also don't do advance aspect replacement even with a credit card on file.

simple to install, heat shield, five.9 windows rating, all four gigs showed up in vista 32 and 64bit OS, super rapidly shipping from new egg as usual. a single of the easiest upgrades you can do oneself. i can only match two sticks in my hp slimline, my issue not yours... upgraded from 2 to 4 gigs in my hp slimline s3123w, gave me a five.9 windows rating for RAM even on vista 32bit operating method. (first installed on 64bit vista, then reformatted)

Heat Spreader is usually a plus; Popped these babies in an Asus MOBO P5ND32-SLI and so far they have been functioning like a charm. ASUS advised against using the 2 GB DDR2 667 stick. In fact they they advised using the DDR2 533 2 GB stick with this Motherboard. But I like to push the envelope. So far so excellent...If you have this sort Mobo and would like to use this kind memory, stick to the manufacturer's configuration. I have mine in the initial two slots No cons right here. PNY functions fine. Only con I can believe of is that Windows XP limitaton will only let you to see 3 GB. But the BIOS will show the full 2048 MB NewEgg rocks child! Rapid delivery. Let's hope they dont get also complacent....

haven't purchased none just wanted to say that a 32 bit os will only see appox three gigs of ram at the most, if you want to actively use additional you'll need to have a 64 bit os which isn't adviced due to the lack of computer software and drivers at the time.

A single of the two 2GB sticks is nevertheless working. For now. One particular of the two sticks went negative right after about two months, soon after Newegg's return period expired. Meanwhile, PNY's site gets errors whenever I attempt to click the Help link (oddly, all their advertising and sales pages are working fine. Just Assistance that's broken...), so I guess their "Lifetime Warranty" won't be of substantially use to me, either.

I want I would of ordered it when it was ฽, but it was nonetheless more affordable than the other individuals. Ram functions good, no noticeable efficiency boost, but thats since of my cpu ( Intel Core 2 Duo) Fantastic buy! Advertised with heatsinks, not heatsinks have been included, but I dont actually care. Once again, I wish i would of ordered sooner! :-(

It functions....by no means had any challenges with PNY products. Not what was pictured....was pictured with heatsinks. no heatsinks on the memory i received. False marketing by PNY? Doesnt truly matter i guess....not like it gets that hot but it would have looked greater. I should have gotten more at the time of the original buy

what to put right here.... Everything! For the cost i paid, i couldn't have asked for a lot more. anything is super fast with four gigs of ram. All my games like L4d, COD4, CS:S, all load inside a handful of seconds. I purchased this RAM when the price was about 50 bucks. Looks like the price went up considering that then. None the much less it's a excellent cost and the RAM works excellent! I have to say PNY did a very good job here. None. Instead of the price tag going down it went up! You may well want to grab some of these ahead of the price tag goes even larger!

No pro's when a new item come definitely currently obtaining been opened by somebody. One corner of the plastic was cut diagonally and the package came apart. Anybody who has ever purchased memory knows how hard the plastic is to get off. Corner of plastic cut off by somebody. Dirty fingerprints on the inner surface of the plastic. Somebody had already ordered this memory and sent it back for what couldn't be a great cause.

excellent deal had all the memory sticks been fantastic and NEW. Speed wise with my server they are fine. 3 out of the 8 sticks were undesirable to the point they shorted out the motherboard on my wifes system which is the exact same sort I'm employing here. They had several errors, a lot of them. Since they were adequately sealed, I can only blame this on PNY but it was obviouse when searching below a scope that a single of the three terrible sticks have been refurbished by the manufacturer. At very first 7 out of the eight sticks had been not working and it turned out the contacts needed cleaning. Afterwords, only three have been defective. Other 5 worked fine with errors.

This ram increased the amount of ram in my method. I did this by placing it in my slots. I had 4GB, bought this ram, and now have 8GB. It seems like genuinely tremendous ram and I want that all my ram was this type so I could run it more rapidly but no no no just this sort is this type. I would recommend it to anyone. Nice heatspreaders. Good ram! Amazing effing worth! I didn't get this sort of ram just before... I could have ran my method more rapidly. Oh nicely. This is great. You should really get it if you are attempting to get this quantity of RAM. This is a really good value.
