Good performing ram for the price (on sale). The tall heatsinks might get in the way on some cpu coolers. But otherwise performed as expected.

Comment:
I have a StrikerII NSE motherboard that can only use 8GB of ram and configures better with with four 2GB ram . So I had to return this 8GB kit with no problem and picked up 2 4GB kits of the same Patriot Sector 5 and they worked excellently

Patriot PGV38G1333ELK Gaming i5 8GB PC10666 RAM - DDR3, 1333MHz, 2x4096MB, 9-9-9-24
Comment:
Memory functions as described except with some boards. This is DDR3 Ram and in the case of using X58 Classified board which accepts 4GB ram sticks, you need to have to have three sticks of RAM not just two. The method will not employ all RAM if the RAM is not installed in sets of three. You can only obtain this memory in sets of two and DDR3 needs to be sold in sets of 3.

8GB, heat spreader Kinda tall, but not in the way, expensive. There is a Large markup from the manufacture on these (as with all RAM). Patriot is notorious for poor main-in-rebate scams. We'll see if I get my twenty-five. Using it with the AMD 2.8Ghz 6-core with ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 mobo. functions excellent. Can overclock to at least three.8Ghz. Prolly greater on aftermarket cooler, so RAM is operating fine.

In no way a challenge.By no means crashs, even clocked to 1600 at stock voltages.Runs very cool. None what-so-ever. Had already purchased 8 gigs of this final Oct.Been operating this in EVGA P-55 Mb. No crashs or blue screens, even running at 1600 with no enhance in voltage.I can't say this will function for other Mbs,but it functions in mine.I doubt if I realy need to have 16 gb.of ram,but what the heck.I had two slots to fill.Could as fill 'em with good ram.

Comment:
For $45, you get 8GB RAM. Nice heat sinks, and cheap. I threw this into my first mini-ITX build and it worked the first time. I've used Patriot stuff in the past and have been happy with them so I figured I would purchase more.

8gb ram was kind of overkill for a budget PC that would probably never use half of it... but with the MIR and sale price... hard to find a better deal.

Otherwise, please maintain in mind that memory is only 1 aspect of the system. Cons:Had to manually overclock the memory to get it to run at 1333 and up the voltage to 1.65V which is at the limit of what Intel recommends before damaging the processor

Pros:Compatible in 4x4GB configuration on a ASUS P8P67 LE with an Intel Core i7 2600K

Patriot PGV38G1333ELK Gaming i5 8GB PC10666 RAM - DDR3, 1333MHz, 2x4096MB, 9-9-9-24
Cons:Cannot run at rated speed and voltage

Pros:Run i 1.48V 8-8-8-20
Comment:
These RAM cannot run dual channel on ASUS 8H67-M PRO motherboard with E2100 CPU at rated voltage and timing, it crashed in every few hours with the computer just using internet. In rated voltage and timing, these RAM can run properly in single channel mode only. After much effort testing with various setting on memtest86+, these RAM can run at lower voltage 1.48V and higher speed 8-8-8-20 are very stable (memtest86+ and prime95 overnight). I was forunate that I did not give up on them when they crash constantly in rated voltage and timing. I also hate the metal heatsink that stick on the RAM, it does not do anything imo. I removed them after i confirm the RAM are stable.

Cons: Overclocking, Stability, Heat

Pros: Price, these sticks were a great deal
Comment:
These ram sticks were a stonking deal a $50/8GB. I put 16GB into my rig as a result. One to thing to note that in my instance, I cannot overclock my chips at all. That being said I can run the ram at lowered timings and voltages. 1.5825 volts vs 1.65 voltsOverall, I'd recommend the Mushkin sticks over mine because of the lower profile and lower voltages.
