DDR3 1600mhz is rapid... if only it worked! Initial kit had a poor stick. Replacement arrives and the aluminum spreaders are actually falling off!! A single of them slid off though pushing it into the memory slot - hope I didnt harm my brand new mobo. The heat spreaders are actually held on with double-sided tape, NOT thermal comond. What a joke. I will be returning this and buying anything from Cosair or otherwise NOT Patriot. Stay away from this stuff - poor craftmentship, poor high quality control.. cant get substantially worse than that. Manufacturer Response:We apologize for your knowledge with Patriot's goods. We offer you a lifetime warranty on all of our Tri-Channel kits. The Tri-Channel kits are manufactured in the USA and we completely stand behind our goods. Fairly low cost for XMP Profile DD3 6gb 1600Mhz memory... it worked fine at 1st. But then 30 mins in, the personal computer BSODed. I spent a handful of days playing around with shuffling all 3 RAM sticks about. 1st I believed it was a mobo, but then i decided to attempt a single stick at a time in every single DIMM slot. Turned out 1 of the sticks had gone poor. argh... RMAing this and getting the Corsair Don't believe I will be ordering Patriot memory once again any time soon... Manufacturer Response:Patriot Memory program tests one hundred% of our Tri-Channel modules on Tri-Channel motherboards. Our modules are tested utilizing a wide variety of programs and program environments, and every kit is tested for an extended period of time. Only memory obtainable when I ordered my i7 process. Is Patriot packaging junk memory modules? It took me about 9 days to rebuild an old SuperMicro SC-801-S case for my new method. I turned it on a handful of hours ago and ran MemTest 3.four and in about half an hour I had several memory errors. Reboot and BIOS now reports 4 GB as an alternative of 6 GB of memory. More MemTest and the system starts freezing up. Rearranged memory modules and cleared CMOS and MemTest ran once more for a handful of minutes and locked up with much more errors.Energy off and on and BIOS reports only 2GB of memory and MemTest fails rapidly. Now the Method will not post. ASUS P6T, Intel i7-965, 6 GB Patriot PVT36G1600ELK memory, Sapphire 4870x2, 2 147GB Fujitsu SAS drives, 3 300GB Vel-Raptors, 5 1GB Samsungs, ARECA 1220 controller, SuperMicro drive cages, and so forth. Extremely fast and solid performance with my gigabyte x58 intense. All I had to do was change the timings and up the voltage to 1.65 and then adjust the speed to 1600 and no difficulties at all. Passed a six hour run of memtest no difficulty. No stickers or genuine concrete manual. This reminds me of the 790i striker two evaluations. People tried to use ocz ram when it wasn't supported by the 790i. Please check your x58 motherboard and make confident it supports 1600 or more. Some of the motherboards currently on the marketplace don't.

Bought six gigs of this RAM and I appreciate it. Does precisely what it's supposed to do at and above the advertised speeds. Presently running 24 hours a day at 1657 Mhz 9-9-9-24. Prime 95 stable following a 12 hour run. If your motherboard supports 1600 Mhz triple channel ddr3, I'd advise this Patriot kit for positive. None at all. I'm going to obtain yet another six gig kit. i7 920 @ three.476GB Patriot Viper DDR3 1600 @ 1657 9-9-9-24EVGA X58 Tri SLIEVGA GTX-280700w Thermaltake Toughpower ModularAntec 900Windows 7 Ultimate x64

The kit sounds great with 3 sticks of DDR3 1600 enabling you to take benefit of triple channel and simply upgrade to the max RAM of 12GB supported by most present mobos. My expertise has been absolutely nothing but discomfort. Operating at DDR3 1066 with an i7 940 and Asus P6T mobo, my machine blue screened following watching a YouTube video on a clean install and then virtually promptly when employing Prime95. Upgrading from the shipped BIOS ྪቺቤ) to the newest ྫቪቤ) offered some relief but would nevertheless crash Prime95 right after an hour or so. Even underclocking once again to DDR3 800 still crashed. Currently undecided no matter whether I'm going to try and figure out which stick is negative and RMA it or send it all back and go with a diverse brand. Manufacturer Response:We apologize for your complications that you are getting. Please refer to our url at: http://patriotmemory.com/forums/threadp.jsp?threadid򕬥&catidɩ. This really should enable you to reach the settings on your Asus P6T Deluxe board. If you are possessing further troubles, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me at prombs@patriotmem.com. Fundamentally, Value and specs. EVGA x58 sli saw all six gigs on 1st boot. Steller=) So far,,,,,, x fingers, none. Im a corsair fan, but the comparison in ram on this level for the cost,,, corsair lost out. If im gonna devote the money, Imma go with dominator. And thats WAY a lot more exspensive than this was. I was worried based on some testimonials and the truth that patriot is not specifically a house hold name. But the specs and the price tag was proper, and EVGA says this will perform with the board. Well, it did. It can't be more than clocked previous what its rated for, and it should be set to the advertised spec manually. But all in all, The advertised specs and value make it well worth it. Now if it will hold up,,,, I will be a really content camper. In fact, if it tends to make it a year, I assume ill place six additional gigs in for the 12 gig max. For this cost, how can you go wrong.

Been running these in a P6X58D for about a month with no complications. XMP profile at 1600mhz is 9-9-9-24-2T, but have them operating rock solid at 9-9-9-24-1T at 1674mhz. Going to see how high I can take them! None at all...performs as advertised and beyond. This is the 1st time I've employed Patriot and am really please. It's a shame this RAM only scores 4 out of 5....ought to be five out of five! Be sure to verify your MB's compatibility with this ram. Also, as many others have noted, you Have to manually adjust BIOS settings to work at anything above 1066. This is due to the Intel spec, not the rams fault! Do a tiny investigation for your board, it is certainly worth it if you want to raise your mhz. Had to raise the Dram volts to 1.66 and the QPi/Dram to 1.25 to function at any settings above the default 1066. Will try and add another 6gb sometime in the future for certain!

Okay, high excellent ram the moment you have it appropriately installed... The "Anti Static" metal plates on the outsides of the ram chip are not meant to actually be placed into your motherboard. BUT- as I attempted to take away those plates off of the sticks of ram as gently as feasible, the adhesive from the plates ripped off the chips on the side of the ram. Producing it Useless! I feel so stupid proper about now for wasting the cash on two sets of this ram. ): So so stupid. Please do NOT make my error! Manufacturer Response:Greetings,I just wanted to let you know that those plates are in fact cooling modules. Their purpose is to disperse the heat that is generated from a greater cycling, greater frequency RAM. They are not to be removed from the RAM otherwise you will harm the module. If you have any inquiries relating to your RAM, please really feel free of charge to speak to support: support@patriotmem.comThank you for selecting Patriot Memory!Daniel SorrentinoPatriot Memory Assistance

High performance, reputable, low price tag None - What's not to like? I employed these to replace a set of a lot-much more-high-priced Corsair Dominators that were giving blue screens when a week on an Asus P6T Deluxe with Intel Core I7 920 CPU. The Vipers solved my issues instantaneously. The Vipers are rock solid, and I'm running them at CL8 even even though they're rated at CL9. Very suggested.
