Patriot Viper 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Comment:
This is a extremely good 6GB kit, extremely fairly priced. Adore the XMP settings, just turned the bios to XMP and it sets it at 1600MHz and right timing/voltage automatically.Personally, I have a lot to do as a NVIDIA Focus Group member/forum mod and playing around with trial and error OCing is not high on my list of issues to do. This kind of convenience and stability is most welcome in my box.Running it on an Asus P6T-Deluxe mainboard with i7 965. None I've seen. Recommend.

Runs at advertised speeds\voltages (when they function) 1 of the 3 sticks was bad - machine would not post with it inserted. Replacement is enroute, but does not bode nicely for my confidence in this brand\part. Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer,We are sorry for the inconvenience that these modules might have brought on you. All of our modules are 100% system tested prior to leaving our facility. Please return this kit back to us and we will be happy to get a replacement back to you ASAP. Please get in touch with us at support@patriotmem.com.With Regards,Guy

Patriot Viper 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Comment:
Worked nicely in a P6T mobo. Passed memtest and prime95 without having a hitch.Uncomplicated mild overclock. Cost is a bit greater for early adopters. I raised the Base clock from 133 t0 160 to overclock i7-920 to 3.two. No other adjustments. Ram runs at 1.5 v.

Patriot Viper 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons: Packaging

Pros: PriceMatches various blue MB's
Comment:
I bought this ram approx 3 months ago for my latest computer build. I was looking for 6GB of cheap ram and wasn't too worried about what company I purchased it from. The set was on sale at the time so I decided to give Patriot a shot. The ram was damaged (slightly) when I got it home and took it out of the packaging. One of the heat fins was loose and at an odd angle. That being said, I was able to push it back into position and whatever adhesive they used held it in place. It's been 3 months now and the sticks are all working fine.

Good Stuff!
Comment:
After having to return another name brand memory, I tired the Viper because Asus supported this brand and it works perfectly and runs very fast.

GOT THESE FOR 149.99. sTABLE AT 1600 MHZ WITH BIOS USING XMP SETTINGS, IF NOT U WILL NEED TO MANUALLY SET CLK SPEED TO 9 9 9 24. STABLE AT 1.6 DRAMVOLTS. NO PROBLEMS YET BUT I STILL NEED TO STRESS TEST BUT SEEMS TO BE HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT

Patriot Viper 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Harder to fine-tune the RAM to CAS7 timings when you have 12gb's, as opposed to 6gb's

Pros:Great looks (I'd prefer red, but that doesn't detract from nicely designed RAM), awesome performance, easily capable of CAS8 timings, and with the right mix of mobo possibly even CAS7
Comment:
Performance-to-cost ratio is obscene (in a good way).Due to the high demand, I got my first 3 sticks 2 days before the last 3 sticks, and in testing the first 3 I had a fairly easy time of stabilizing the RAM at 7-7-7-20 timings. When I got the second set of 3 sticks, I found that the RAM wasn't so appreciative of CAS7, and I haven't fully fine-tuned to try to maintain those timings.Despite this, I'm still thoroughly impressed at how painlessly the RAM accepted CAS8 timings, even with 12gb's of RAM.
