Comment:
Tons of storage capacity. Modest. Has the word "MAGNUM" on it. Looks actually cool. I wasn't conscious there was a built in LED so you know when it's working till I climbed below my desk 1 day and caught a view of it from the side. The LED should either be substantially brighter, or there ought to be some manner of packaging redesign so you can see it from all angles. I haven't had any cap-issues but. I am also able to retain The Magnum plugged in although I use other ports directly next to it, so I haven't had a require for the extension cable that comes with it.It appears I have not too long ago turn into immune to my brand of deodorant. Why does this happen?

Comment:
Really rapid. I copied 4 video files totaling 2.4GB from my laptop to the flash drive. A Corsair Flash Voyager took 5ᛞ. The Patriot Xporter Magnum did this in 2ᛊ, so nicely over twice as rapidly. Rather remarkable really. The device is genuinely wide. It ought to fit quickly into any double high USB ports, but its going to be too wide to use in a vertically oriented slot. Could be a challenge in some USB layouts, or block some other port.

Speed was great. A number of men and women commented on the truth that the cap was quite loose and simply came off in your pocket. But at one point, I place this into the port, and it pushed the complete unit out of the other end of the situation. I've superglued this unit with each other twice now. And now, I suspect simply because of it's being pushed out of the situation, I have to on a regular basis wiggle it to get it to retain a connection with the Pc. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer,Thank You for leaving feedback for this item. If you are experiencing any intermittent connection concerns, please don't hesitate to contact support@patriotmem.com to get your drive replaced underneath warranty terms.Type Regards,Patriot Memory Assistance

64GB of storage in a space about the size of your thumb (the drive's casing is nevertheless bigger than most common thumb drives but I haven't had any difficulties brought on by this yet)Can copy files to and from it speedily, appears to operate significantly more quickly than most other thumb drives I've owned. Was able to use it as a bootable device on a number of systems (Dell servers/workstations, evga 780i motherboard) The cap has difficulty staying on the drive. I wear it on the lanyard which was supplied with the drive although I'm at work, and the force of it bouncing around even though walking has been enough to make the cap fall a number of times. I just took it off so that I wouldn't shed it.You can't spot the cap on the back end of the drive while it's in use unless you don't have it attached to a thing. For my purposes, this sort of defeats the objective of possessing a cap.The string which is applied to connect the lanyard to the drive is flimsy and started to tear immediately after about two weeks of light to moderate use (mostly just walking around with it around my neck). Currently I replaced it with a tiny metal keychain ring that I use to attach it to a little carabiner that I threaded through the existing lanyard. The plastic on the back end of the drive is durable and this appears to have fixed the challenge. Four stars mainly because it's an amazing device from a technical standpoint, but I really feel far more thought could have been place into how to secure the device for folks who wanted to use the supplied lanyard. People who are worried about guarding the USB connection on the finish could want to look at searching for a retractable thumb drive (I may uncover yet another objective for this one particular and acquire a retractable drive so I don't have to be concerned as significantly about losing the cap)

Extremely solid build, fast read speed, great lanyard/ㅈ" USB cable extension, aluminum body for heat dissipation, LOTS of space, affordable cost Bulky, write speed is ӭǙ read speed, not a thing you'd in all probability put on your crucial chain I purchased this drive for mobile storage. Mostly so that when we travel I can load up to 60 1GB ripped MP4 films (𞲔 hours!) to preserve the children entertained, though lowering the battery drain by not operating the challenging drive (longer time among battery swaps/charging).Since I've bought a couple of negative USB flash drives lately, the 1st factor I do is test it with h2testw, which writes 1GB files to fill the entire drive and read verifies them to ensure the drive is excellent. It reports 9.49 MByte/sec write, 27.2 MByte/sec read speeds over 64GB of data (ӯ.five hours). While the read speed is definitely respectable, the write speed is a bit disappointing (good write speeds must be at least 1ǘ the read speed). The drive's size is a bit shocking. However, anything about this drive points to several years of durable, trouble no cost efficiency.

Formatted with NTFS for cross platform usability. Functions well with Linux (ubuntu) and Windows Vista, 7 and XP. A lot of drive space. A bit wide so be conscious that it may cover a second usb port if they are side by side. I would buy this once more and highly recommend it.

Quick, Lots of space, looks very good, lots of space, has worked without having a hitch or weird behavior, lots of space. Outer aluminum casing came loose from the USB finish. Ended up supergluing the two pieces together and it's fine now. Not the ideal if I try to sell it at some point in the future and upgrade. Also the cap is incredibly uncomplicated to shed. Took 1 star for these two troubles. Nevertheless general a great item and advised. Hope to see 2nd gen with the cap problem addressed and probably one more 64GB for 128GB total. ;-) Manufacturer Response:Dear Ned I'm sorry you encountered an concern with your drives case and a loosening cap. I tried utilizing it in numerous USB ports on various computers with no accomplishment. Cost-free shipping & ษ mail in rebate. Very fantastic efficiency. Attractive & sturdy design. Solid Little portable storage device that very easily fits into your pocket & provides a large quantity of storage capacity. It comes with a USB extension cable & a neck lanyard. The cost will sting, but the ษ mail in rebate assists. It's WIDE, so you may well will need to use the offered USB extension cable. The snap on cap feels tight now, but I suspect it will get loose. The extruded aluminum case feels as good as it looks! I've been really pleased with Patriot memory, so I'm sure the MAGNUM will serve me well.

Substantial capacity, quickly drive. It comes with a lanyard and a USB extension cord. The drive is more than 64 Gigabytes! About twice as wide as the standard jump drives with much less storage space, but hey, this is 64GB!!!! This is the identical way that Difficult Drives are measured for storage capacity.

Capacity & quality of memory. Advertised memory capacity is fudged upwards for marketing purposes. Ran R/W test on all 59GB of accessible space. Took two+ hours...not specifically earth shattering. Read speed on large files was regularly 6.06 GB.sec. Cost represents very good worth comparatively. Clunky design. Want to go to Apple for much better mechanical engineering. It's too negative that a excellent top quality internal technique gets compromised by poor mechanical design.

Superior value for a 64 GB unit -- but then, you get what you pay for! :) I purchased the 64GB Patriot USB flash memory in late May well 2009.The first three-4 weeks the product worked fantastic. I use TeraCopy to copy files and would often see 15-17 MB/s transfer rates. Nonetheless, soon after the initially couple of weeks, I barely get far more than six-7 MB/s and it's declining. Also, I have lost information files twice. Tried re-formatting it but that does not seem to have helped. Patriot client assistance was really responsive and helped me low-level format it through a utility they emailed over. Did not assist. Am fairly much stuck with a unit that is attainable faulty and deteriorating. The cap tends to get lost each now and then. Would be fantastic if there were a lanyard connecting it to the primary unit. Manufacturer Response:Dear index2020 I would like to diagnose the problem with your flash drive and if it is faulty then we can RMA it. Please contact me personally with regards to this or any lost cap for the drive. We replace lost drive caps no cost of charge.John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Support Teamassistance@patriotmem.com

Haven't tested the read/write speed deliberately but it was quick sufficient for me. Took me about 2 hours to transfer 55 GB of information...with 5+ GB file sizes.

As usual in my expertise, Patriot deliver a solid, difficult built unit that withstands every day use from machine to machine. Thankyou Patriot for the small extension cable, it saves the put on on the units connector and gets me into tight spots the massive guy won't fit.Rapid data transfers except in the case of moving hundreds of little files which Each and every usb drive experiences. I believe this is partly the host Pc too.I reformatted to NTFS for my purposes and almost everything works fine.Anyway, excellent drive and I appear forward to this getting as dependable as my last Patriot usb drive. I can't assume of something valid. The unit is exceedingly 'fit for objective' in my book.OK, we'd all like it to cost less with out sacrificing high quality.. How's that. :-))That and rebate schemes are no longer the carrot you want them to be. They just elicit an inward groan of distrust these days. Set a excellent value for a superior product is all. Thanks for very good product Patriot ! Factory format is Fat 32 and capacity shows as 60.5gb in Win 7. As it need to in binary. Whilst this is new, the cap clicks firmly into location and is not loose and the shell construction is tight. Seeking at other negative comments concerning these, I can't see any poor points in mine however. Lets see how it stands up over the next year shall we ?My final workhorse was/is the Patriot 32gb rubber cased unit which served quite well and suffered all manner of accidental abuse and still functions fine. Its been for rides in the laundry numerous occasions. I when 'lost' it for many days and identified it peeking out of frozen mud in my driveway. I had driven over it various occasions ! Prematurely mourning the loss of more than 贄, I disassembled it, rinsed it in water, dried it and tweaked the connector back into shape with needlenose pliers. Darned factor worked fine with no information loss and kept on going all 2010. It's out to grass now as a readyboost plus storage drive in the back of my office serve
