RAZER Orochi Black Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse
Comment:
The mouse has a sexy, sleek design that resembles a stealth bomber. I enjoy the that the scroll wheel lights up blue. The tracking is ideal. The mouse fits comfortable in my fingertips. The bluetooth was straightforward to set up given that the mouse promptly paired with my laptop. The 1st Orochi I purchased was a lemon. I brought it house and the laser was not functioning. Though I could scroll and left/right click, I was not able to track. After returning the original, Orochi number 2 works just fine.

Superb mouse! I bought this mouse because it is one of the few Bluetooth mouses on the market. The battery life isn't great but it doesn't bother me one bit. Great precision and have had no issues at all with this mouse.

comfy portable mouse for smaller handsDual mode USB/BluetoothSmooth(er) scroll wheelsolid feel to mouse - clicking doesn't sound hollowDrivers for OS X (version 2.) add a superior amount of customization Poor consumer service SLEEP / Hibernation stutter I purchased this mouse to do work on my Macbook air. While the mouse connects to the MBA via BT no difficulty, in bluetooth mode it goes into hibernation within two seconds if left alone. Attempting to move the mouse causes the pointer to stutter and jump across the screen. Very annoying. Emailing their tech support - I got a message stating that "in order to fix sleep stutter, just use the mouse plugged in.." A fast search on the web indicates that this has been a problem on OS X (not sure about Windows) given that this mouse came out. This is unacceptable. I cant advocate this mouse - at least in bluetooth mode.

A very decent gaming mouse on the go or just for someone wanting a bluetooth mouse. The detachable USB cable is a great addition for longer hauls or more sensitivity.

Comment:
Very nice mouse, a little modest, but as someone who utilizes a fingertip grip, this isn't a problem. If I had a palm grip, this would be way too smaller for me.Really responsive, works on practically any surface, as long as it's not glass (or similarly extremely reflective surface) and even then it still works haltingly.Wire is *solid* - I was worried about the wired/wireless mode and how sturdy the cable would be and right after acquiring it, this concern died in like 12 seconds flat.Adore, enjoy, adore the battery cover, how it secures and every little thing. You're not going to break a clip or anything on this mouse. Due to the fact I use this mouse wired 99% of the time, I leave the battery in my laptop bag and the mouse is extremely light - shockingly light. Wired mode - goes to sleep way too quick and only wakes up with movement. When I use it wirelessly, I will have a browser open and though scrolling down the page, I can be actively scrolling and it will go to sleep. I would say that I would adore to have a sleep timer alternative. I would rather the timer be 10 or 15 seconds without having movement, not two or 3 like it presently is. I'm sure it'd use a lot a lot more energy, but I use it wired most of the time anyway. There are a number of sharp edges on the front of the mouse - if you use it on a soft surface (clothing or the arm of a chair/couch), it will catch on the material. Not a major deal and most likely the only factor that actually bothered me in any way in wired mode. In wired mode, this is one my favorite mouse, by far. In wireless mode... I just want to punch a person. Gaming is about performance and if I lift my hand up for two seconds the darn factor goes to sleep. They definitely need to have to fix the sleep timer on this *gaming* mouse - I don't care about a $.30 battery.

Comment:
I like the high tech appear of this mouse. It performs extremely nicely in wired mode. Even though it's little, it holds two AA batteries instead of AAAs. Lots of buttons. Good size for a portable but usable mouse. In wireless mode, right after about four seconds of not moving the mouse, it goes into a low energy mode and the pointer jumps when the mouse is moved. The scroll wheel lags too at first. I have a less expensive Microsoft mouse that doesn't lag like this. I have found this characteristic to be surprisingly annoying. Razer ought to look at fixing the wireless mode lag with a new firmware release.

Bluetooth wireless feature is wonderful with bluetooth compatible PC. I own another bluetooth mouse that does not have the ability to connect an adapter up to it (which is a nuisance when battery(ies) die). But adore the capacity to connect directly up to PC with the adapter. Not really a con but some functions are not capable when connected via bluetooth (like Sensitivity Rate is limited as properly as Polling Rate), as stated earlier not necessarily a con. Great Mouse and would recommend to buddies.

Cons:Not big hand very big hand friendly, hard to press the 2 side buttons on the right if your right handed.

Pros:Razer quality and build, Braided cord, Compact, Ambidextrous thumb buttons, Performance, Hybrid of both Bluetooth and Wired, 7 customizable buttons.
Comment:
Great for both left and right handed people since it has ambidextrous thumb buttons. Good hybrid of both Bluetooth and wired. 7 customizable buttons but only customizable when in wired mode. Wish it could be more heaver and is not the best if you have big hands but it's made to be portable. Its also kind of hard to press 2 of the buttons (If your right handed it would be the 2 buttons on the right side of the mouse or vice versa if your left handed)

Comment:
Bluetooth connectivity for surfing the inter-t00bz and general use, wired mode sans the battery for the quickie response times and fragging. Undoubtedly does the job nicely and makes for a great portable laptop mouse. It's modest, so those of us with a gorilla grip (i.e. large hands) may well have a small trouble adjusting. Software can be a small confusing, possibly just a steep learning curve. This is actually just picking nits. Could have gone with a rechargeable set up as well, but you're stuck with just regular old batteries. Maintain in mind that when plugged in, you can turn off bluetooth to save battery life.

Cons:small, not designed with comfort in mind. razer customization. button placement.

Pros:petite and mobile, razer customization.
Comment:
I've been spoiled by the g9, and now the MX Anywhere. This Orochi is not as comfortable. the slippy thumb is an issue if you have oily hand. The button placement isnt the best, but if you're a south paw you'd be happy. Ironically though, a south paw might have the same complaint. How does Razer expect the ring finger to hit outer side buttons on the fly?The mouse is precise, but questionable engine as Logitech's mice cursor had never drifted under my use, where as this Razer would drift nonestop. Ergonmically speaking, if you have never used a Logitech, you'll find this lil' mouse awesome. If you had, the base is too edgy. The build quality is not the best, but acceptable.

The best part of this mouse is its wired/wireless capabilities. It's also light weight and easy to carry around. What's more, it can function as both a notebook and desktop mouse easily.

Cons:performance in wireless mode

Pros:Compact, Ambidexterous thumb buttons, Performance
Comment:
Great compact mouse from Razer. It has two thumb buttons on each side of the mouse. On wired mode, the accuracy is great. However, on Bluetooth mode, there's a bit of lag and it's not as accurate. Materials are top notch. The buttons have a nice rubberized-plastic sort of feel.

Cons: Maybe a little light weight for some but with the added weight of the batteries this might now be a problem

Pros: Razer quality and buildBraided cordA perfect match with the Lycosa keyboard
Comment:
I actually purchased this for use on a desktop computer. After using a couple different mouse I found this to be very comfortable. Offers both wired and wireless mode similar to the mamba. I used the sidewinder X8 before and it was extremely uncomfortable. I'll eventually upgrade to the mamba but for now 4000dpi is all i need.

Very good mouse, easy to click and has a click scroll. I use it wired with claw grip and it matches with my Razer Lycosa with its blue lights. Anytime I want to use it with my laptop, it can just detach and go. Comes with a complimentary carrying case and two batteries.

RAZER Orochi Black Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse
Cons: Ergonomics, usb cable is hard to unplug, very tight batteries compartment, excessive packaging

Pros: Dual wired/wireless mode, bluetooth 2.0, works well with Mac, pretty lights (can be switched on/off in driver software)
Comment:
I bought this mouse mainly for playing starcraft 2 on the macbook pro. Ergonomics could be a bit better... I know its a portable mouse but it's barely more comfortable than the apple magic mouse, and not even close to being as good as logitech vx revolution. But after using it for couple hours, I think I've got used to it. I really like the soft touch plastic... makes it more sweat resistant.Plug n' play works well. You don't really need drivers for it unless you'd like to tweak the buttons, lights and sensitivity increments. Also firmware update  works only on Windows.Minor complaints: the included poach is too small if you plan to put the usb cable inside. It's not immediately clear what the switch on the bottom is for (it actually turns on/off wireless mode).Overall I think its hard to beat the orochi's performance and feature set. There really isn't anything else comparable.

This is possibly the best bluetooth mouse on the market, especially if you're a gamer. That doesn't mean that it's perfect, though.I just love this mouse. It just feels right when you hold it. It's solid, ergonomic, weighty... OW! It's sharp, too! Those plastic edges around the battery cover could be a lot smoother. I guess it is Razer, after all.Oh, and that thumbrest is smooth black plastic. After only a few minutes, the oil accumulates and makes it slippery and rather uncomfortable. I'd have preferred a rubberised finish. Also, when the mouse is in bluetooth mode, if you don't move the cursor for a couple of seconds, the mouse goes to sleep mode. It takes a fraction of a second for the mouse to become responsive again. It's not the end of the world for a casual usage, but it's definitely a deal-breaker for gaming! So when you game with this mouse, don't compromise, use the cord. Finally, you can't configure the mouse with Razer's software unless you have it plugged in through USB.That's it for the negative stuff. Everything else about the mouse is fantastic! It's a comfortable, compact and, dare I say, mighty good looking mouse! It performs exceedingly well in any environment, but especially when paired with its sister product, the Kabuto mobile gaming mousepad. The weight is perfect with two batteries in it and it glides like a champ. The Orochi is not a perfect mouse, but it comes damn close. The build, the overall design, the feel of it, it transpires quality. Mobile gamers: get the Kabuto too, it's awesome!

RAZER Orochi Black Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse
Cons: Little slippery thumb area

Pros: Very comfortableBluetoothWired modeVery preciseQuick resolution change
Comment:
I bought this mouse for my laptop that already have Bluetooth built in so I did not need a receiver. I was looking around for a decent Bluetooth mouse so I do not use up the USB slots on my laptop and this mouse seemed to be the best one out there. So far I am very happy with my purchase. Most laptop mice are pretty small and I have big hands so I needed something that is comfortable. This mouse is not too small but not as big as the desktop mice either. Just the right size and very vell designed, really comfortable to use. The mouse is very well made and it works great. I did try it for some game in wireless mode and it works perfect. My only complain is the slippery thumb area, but it is not a deal breaker, I am sure it is just a matter of getting used to the mouse. Otherwise this is an excellent product and highly recommended for anyone looking for a decent mouse for their laptop.I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this mouse to anyone.

RAZER Orochi Black Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse
Cons: - flimsy cover (the top is the batter compartment, which you pull out rather than push a button - in foreseeable future, some parts of the cover will break)- neat packaging but marketing department must have spent a fortune- once in a while, there's lag while using wireless- bluetooth only supports up to 2000dpi (but still good enough for fps)- thumb tends to slip when it gets sweaty or oily thus straining arm when playing games (it's a bit too smooth just below the side buttons - they need to put some rubber padding there)- proprietary mini-USB for mouse end (you're hooped if you break or lose the cable)- download razer driver off their site only; profiles can be adjusted and emulated only in wired mode- in wireless mode, unless you move the mouse, there's no way you can tell what dpi mode you're in after adjusting the right side dpi buttons (nothing on mouse and nothing on screen)- hard to adjust the dpi buttons (on the right side) on the fly with ring or pinky finger

Pros: - high resolution- bluetooth- cool packaging & neat little manual (comes with Razer logo 3"x3" sticker)- ambidexterous- side button placement good for smaller hands; comfortable when it's not slipping (see below)- comes with a pouch for the mouse- comes with 2 AA Energizer battery
Comment:
I just purchased this since my OCZ Equalizer finally died. I thought the Orochi would be a really good replacement but so far it has been average. You will need to already own a Bluetooth receiver if you want to go the wireless route.Overall, I wouldn't pay the full price at $89.99 but I had a gift card and PM to $70 but don't think I'll buy again, especially due to the slippery thumb part. Not a bad mouse but I expected better. Cons: Small but it s the point of buying this mouse. The side mouse buttons are somehow hard to press, might be because it's new!

Pros: It's small, comfortable, 2000 dpi in wireless which is great.
Comment:
It's a great mouse for laptop and even if it's small it is very comfortable. Of course the razer imperator is a little more comfortable to hold because it's bigger, that's why i got both, the imperator at home and the orochi when I'm on the go. It is definately the best notebook mouse you can find.

Love it!
Comment:
I can't believe how small it is, yet how powerful it is as well. I hate it that I don't have a bluetooth computer so I can't use the wireless, but when wired up the speed are incredible. The comfort is a little bit sucky. When you grip it and hold it for a while it starts to hurt the inside of my hand cause its too stiff. But besides that its an awesome mouse and will use it for days to come. No years hehe.

Comment:
Very natural shape, light weight and super responsive. I was also looking for a product that I wasn't always changing batteries on. I actually like using it corded as you don't even notice or feel the cord is there as it is supple, thin and braided. (a little short so needs desktop or monitor usb)

Cons:the only thing i dont like is having to download the drivers from the manufacturer website. if we reformat the laptop or w/e we'd have to d/l it again(if not saved)

Pros:wired/wireless mode, portable size, gaming spec'd, and more importantly BLUETOOTH!
Comment:
Very solid product, quality made and perfect for the use i wanted (gaming laptop add-on, bluetooth) paired this up with the razer kabuto notebook mouse pad to use with my ASUS g51 and i am very happy with the buy. NCIX pricematched so i got it a a better deal but would have bought it at regular price in any case. This mouse is basically the portable bluetooth version of the larger Razer Mamba. if this one ever dies ill probably buy it again.
