Comment: Its a very good headset and it was definitely a good investment for me, one issue I had was that the controls is kind of far away from the headset.. its about 2 feet away from the headset and its kinda awkward.

Not top of the line, but you get what you pay for. For this price range, its definitely near the top if not, its at the top. Keep in mind when buying this, its not for music, its for gaming. I tried it out with a bunch of music, classic rock through techno. Has awesome treble the bass is lacking a little bit, but works well. The only downside to this is the mic doesnt rotate a full 180. I enjoy my mic being on the right side, and when im done i need to rotate it all the way around again instead of just up a lil.

Going from a $30 generic brand to these, I have really stepped up my game. While it works well I have some complaints. My pair came with a bit of rust on the top of the right earcup mesh. Luckily its not very noticeable. For an $80 headset or anything not second hand you expect the product to be free of rust...The picture here as well as the picture on the box is a lie. It shows this really nice mesh, with little circular holes. Instead you get a cheap kind of interlocking mesh. It looks good, but not as near as good as what they show in the photo. Also the material on the earcups isn't even the same as the photo. I guess Razer is a company you need to test and see their products before you buy, because they use misleading photos to advertise their products. :/I won't buy another Razer product without seeing and using it before hand. Pros: Great sound quality in games, music and movies.Very comfortable.Looks great on your head.Very light.High quality, clear microphone.Inline volume controller is very useful.Adjusts and fits your head very well. Comment: The Razer Carcharias is absolutely the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. It's very light; you almost forgot it's on your head! The microphone picks up your voice very clearly, doesn't get in the way when you want a sip or bite of something. This headset is very pleasing to the eye.The braided cable is absolutely great, it doesn't tangle and there are no potential problems with the cable breaking and this makes me a much more relaxed user. I love the fuzzy, soft velour ear cushions. They are a pleasure to put on every time. The headset adjusts easily and stays that way, meaning it won't re-adjust without you doing it purposely.The Carcharias doesn't clamp hard onto your head, but at the same time doesn't fall off. It has great sound quality when listening to music and especially when gaming. The well made inline volume and microphone mute controller is very useful and well built. It's very sturdy, and doesn't feel cheap.The only little thing not perfect (and I'm nitpicking) is that the inline volume controller could be just a tad closer to the headset, but it's really not a big problem at all.Over all, this is the best headset I have used to date and I absolutely love it. I would easily recommend this to a friend.

I was looking for another 5Hv2 or Siberia v2 but NCIX didn't have any in stock (in store) when I checked and had the Carcharias as my backup plan. The packaging is very good. The gaming quality is as good as the 5Hv2 IMO but listening to music is just as good which is surprising. My main complaints though is that the in-line control (volume & mic) is too far from the headset and wearing glasses requires a tricky setup. Would purchase again!

And the fact that it seems too tall, the height can be adjusted, but at its lowest setting, it just seems slightly too large.Overall the Carcharias is a very good product, especially for those that wear glasses, the earphones are not tight against the head.

Don't get me wrong, I do not like muddy, over-pronounced bass at all... but I think these could stand to have a little more punch in the low end.My biggest complaint however is they make my ears hurt after about 1-2 hours of continuous use or so. It may very well be just the shape of my ears but it's not comfortable when it happens. Before that they seem comfortable enough.Solid product, just not for me.

The mids are very rich and the lows are decent. You don't really need deep bass for gaming, deep bass would cause you to hear less of what is around you.For music it's not that bad really, It's not ment for music but I was impressed with it.All in all, if I lost this thing or broke it some how, I would replace it with the same model.

And as someone who games for very long sessions and also listens to alot of music at the same time here is how i feel . A: first off its very very comfortable . lightweight and the ear comfort is amazing . B: Sound wise . i have to say as someone who does alot of MMO and RTS gaming while listening to playlists in the background. Wonderously grand tone and sound i can actualy distinguish the noises fro music and game quite well . C: Was a bit pricier than i originaly wanted to go . but to be honest after now having them i must admit it was worth the price. D: Durability . i love the fabric wound cable . As someone who accidently has them fall off the desk and dangle by the cord, this is awesome . i highly recomend this for gamers of all sorts but especialy long session gamers . The weight and durability are a nice comfort of both head and mind!

It works great and has awesome sound, but there could be a greater range of movement toward the mouth. But I'm jut being nitpickey. I really love this thing. Head band fits nice, very comfortable. Pros:Very nice sound, Exceeded expectations. Shipping was amazing. I Purchaced this only at 3pm AST I paid for the upgraded shipping(an extra 2.50$) I received it the next day before lunch. Less than 24 hours and it was being shipped from the opposite coast! Very impressed! Comment: It's got great sound! Shipping was beyond awesome! Very comfy fit! I tried 3 other head sets and one other thing i really love is the braded cord. All others were cheap small wire, this one has a nice cord that will last a long time. No real complaints!

The comfort of these is unreal, even after a couple hours of wearing them they dont feel uncomfortable. The mic quality over Ventrillo with these from what people have said are very clear. I suppose the only downside is 1: The volume on the clip can be a little hard to find and to adjust by feel. 2: Brings out the flaws in my voice haha.

As others have said, the bass isn't in the lower Hz range, but equalization takes good care of it, and still absolutely no distortion. Fine job they've done on these. Highly recommended.

The product is great, comfortable, high quality. i have neck problems and i can still use this product for hours with little or no problem. Groww@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 01/03/10	Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset Cons:My glasses hurt my ear on the right side after 2+ hours if the headphones aren't on a certain way. This is probably not the headphone's fault, but rather my uneven ears, lawl.Pricey, it feels more like it's worth $55-60 rather than the $85 I paid. Oh well.Not surround sound, but if you were looking for 5.1 or 7.1 you wouldn't even be looking at these in the first place. Pros:Large sized cans, and comfy and usable for 4+ hours with occasional short breaks. The mic, though it's at least 7cm away from your mouth to the side (maybe just my head), still picks up your voice pretty well and is clear, but you have to speak at normal volume. If you adjust your sound though maybe you can have it to pick up whispers at night if you're looking to not bother anyone. Otherwise, this is most definitely much better than just having an external/extra microphone piece. You actually sound like you're on a cell phone call or in person over Ventrilo/Skype/etc.It's pretty sturdy as well, and overall doesn't feel like cheap plastic and padding. The only part that I may have doubts (and time will tell) is the giant clip looking things that hold each can and allow you to adjust size. Nothing that some tape can't fix though! You'd also have to be really rough to snap/break the mic as it has a large rotation.The sound coming out is excellent for gaming. Even though some people say that it's not the best for music...well duh, it's not the best for audiophiles, but these are decent at least or comparable to anything you'd spend $60 for listening to music. The bass is also not weak; sounds are pretty rich and full.It also looks awesome!! Comment: This is my first Razer product and I must say..i'm impressed. The packaging is fantastic, though I feel it may have added more than a couple of bucks to the overall price lol. If these ever go on sale for sub $65 and you're looking for the best bang for buck headset, this is it here! This is awesome for those who are looking for something that still allows them to still hear what ppl are saying in the same room, hear the phone ring, hear the door bell, and etc. while at the same time not intruding on the sounds you're listening to!
