Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:Despite great bass, sound quality only above averageExpensiveFeels a little fragile

Pros:Light weightComfortMicBraided cordVolume control/mic muteAdjustabilityBooming bassVery good looking headset
Comment:
If you game, this headset is the best. The material used puts a heavy emphasis on light weight and looks. The Carcharias does not feel like any other headset I've ever worn. It is light and feels like nothing on your head. I've played for hours and hours, and forgotten that it was even there. The mic is exceptional. It is unobtrusive and easily folds away from the face with ease. It picks up your voice very clearly, despite not being directly in front of your mouth. The only real downside is that a trade off was made, comfort over durability. Parts of the headset will not stand up to trauma very well, and the wrong accident could break the headset. The sound quality from the headset is typical gamer headset fare. Bass is the carcharias' strength, and after listening to music through my edifier s330d's you will grasp the difference in sonic quality very easily. For music, this headset is nothing special. For games, it does the job in both detecting nearby footsteps and making that explosion a rocking experience. For what you get its a little overpriced. If they could have made the sound less bass-dependent and focused on audio quality, this would easily be the best of the best. As is, there is no headset more comfortable than the Carcharias. Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:-none to speak of

Pros:-Most comfortable headset I have ever used-amazing sound quality, both microphone and earphones-braided cloth cable
Comment:
Can't really find much wrong with these. They are comfy for long extended gaming sessions. The sound is absolutely amazing for gaming and other things. Watching movies on my computer, sounds like people are actually in the room with me. Have had people comment on how clear I sound in voice chat. One of my biggest surprises that I had not read about, or is even stated on the box for these, is that the cable is a cloth braided cable. Not that it would enhance or reduce the sound the quality, but the first thing I break on all headsets is the cable cracking and exposing wires. The braided cable I believe will with stand much more abuse than conventional cables.Only if razer now would make all of their mice with braided cables *cough*

Very nice headset
Comment:
The price is a tad high considering it doesn't have some top end features however the features it does have perform extremely well. Sound quality is very good, mic quality is good(not great but good). The headset is very comfortable even after long gaming sessions.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:-The mic is a bit quiet, buy with gain boost in most games, the mic is absolutely pristine!-They can get warm (from body heat) after some intense gaming, but keep your ears warm on those cold days :)

Pros:-MOST COMFORTABLE HEADSET IN THE WORLD.-Really clear mic, everybody asks me how i get my voice so clean.-can wear 24/7 and will not feel anything. -are very light, but well built-adjustable to ANY size head-Not that pricey!
Comment:
MOST COMFORTABLE HEADPHONES ON THE MARKET, HANDS DOWN! The sound is as follows: the bass is thumping good, the mid tones are a bit faded, but are really clear, and the high tones are pristine (Footsteps in a fps are heard as if you were in the game) the directional sound is very easy to read, and overall the sound is unbelievably good. As for the mic, it is a tad quiet, but makes up for it in perfect voice capture. Plus there is no cover to loose, and your breath does not set it off. Also, the mic is adjustable, and you can move it totally out of the way if you don't want it, and can reverse the direction if you want it on the other side of your head.Overall this is a 11/10 product, because for the price, you get the best headphones that I have ever seated on my head.(I have tried lots, ever the Sennheiser's and this is almost as good as their best. GET THESE HEADPHONES! DON'T EVEN THINK OF ANY OTHER ONES!

This is a amazing headset. Great for listening to music and playing games. Crystal clear microhone for other players. It is extremely comfortable, hardly noticing it after hours of gameplay. Amazing for the price.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:-Mic is not "top quality" but it is good none-the-less, sound quality was the exact same over ventrilo/skype when compared with my crappy logitech headset, and some other no-name brand headset. Could just be my computer of course, though i doubt it.-Broke after a few months of use, some wires must have become loose because the sound it played was all garbled and messed up. My other 3 headsets worked fine.

Pros:-Amazing Sound-Comfortable-Feels Durable
Comment:
Not spending $100 on a headset again, at a certain point the price-performance ratio gets larger on the price side and stays the same on the performance side.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:-Cord may be too long (watch out when moving in your chair)-Microphone can be visually noticeable and distracting at times (fairly large and stiff, but stiff is great)-Serial/Product number is on a sticker near the jacks, and can easily be misleading as just another piece of paper with nothing on it (LEAVE IT ON THE CORD so that you can register your headset on Razers website)

Pros:-Very comfortable-Can tolerate highs and lows very well-Sleeved cable for strength and looks-Microphone is crystal clear and degree of rotation is phenomenal-Clip is strong
Comment:
This is my first Razer product and I am extremely pleased with this headset. The quality is top notch, especially for the price and the sound that comes from them is very good. I would definitely recommend NCIX buyers to get these for either your first headset or a replacement. The box it came in is also very durable and pleasing to the eye.As an added bonus, after registering the headset, Razer will give you a $5 off coupon on their own online store. Definitely something to think of.The only grudge I really have with these headphones is the placement of the S/N and P/N. I would have liked to see those codes somewhere on the headphones than on the cord as a sticker flag.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:None so far....

Pros:Excellent sound, comfortable, braided cable.
Comment:
These are pretty much as Linus said in his tech tips video, i.e. VERY comfortable, and the sound is excellent.Although I would have preferred headphones that sat on my ears, instead of completely over them(didn't realize 'til after I got these), these headphones are still EXTREMELY comfortable to wear, and even with the hot weather recently, they don't seem to make my ears sweat like other headphones do.The biggest plus about these headphones is the sound - there's plenty of bass, especially for headphones(actually had to turn it down a bit for my liking), and the clarity is very good, which makes using these, for either music or games, very pleasing. The mic on these headphones is good too - in fact, when playing L4D, I actually had to move the mic further away from my mouth to make my voice clear on the receiving end. The mic mute switch also works well, as does the inline volume control - there's actually lots of adjustment between the lowest & highest settings on the volume control, enough to suit anybody's needs.Overall an EXCELLENT set of headphones!

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:- Sound in the actual headphones is very diluted, I can barely hear anyone with sound cranked up on the headset, and in the computer. The $20 headset I have lying around performs much better.-The microphone is too sensitive, even after playing with settings. Talking to people in Ventrilo and over Steam Games, can hear themselves talking when I talk, which then causes an ear-bleeding echo that just isn't acceptable for a $100 headset.

Pros:+ Look Good..+ Braided Cord+ Look Good..?
Comment:
Pretty much listed in the Strengths and Weaknesses. The headset looks good, has good packaging, but fails to deliver like the majority of Razer Sound products I've tried.Granted, the pair I have will be sent back for Refund because of the faulty speaker, I question the quality of their mice after having such a bad experience with their headsets/sound card. I'll be ordering the Sennheiser PC350's which are more then double in price, but fulfill my needs, and I'll gladly pay the price for satisfaction.

Cons:-None

Pros:-Comfy-Microphone is Super clear-Braided Cables-Very nice design-Inline volume adjustment-very good sound
Comment:
The Razer Carcharias is the comfiest headset I have worn. You can wear it for hours without adjusting it. The microphone is bendable. People can hear me speak clearly during games. The connectors are 3.5 jacks. The cable is braided to no more tangled or twisted cords! People say gamer headsets have very poor sound quality, I disagree with that belief. The Carcharias has very good sound quality for a "Gamer" headset. There is bass in the headset too.

A tad pricy, but AWESOME!
Comment:
Value, it's a tad expensive, but still amazing. For features? Not too much to it. It's a headset. Quality... AWESOME sound quality with the speakers. The BASS doesn't really THUMP so much, but it's VERY clear. I've tried to crank these as loud as possible and there was NO distortion on highs or lows at all. Friends have told me over my radio show or on Ventrilo that the microphone quality sounds a little worse than my previous $30 headset, but still VERY clear. The headphones are VERY comfortable, even after 6+ hours. Noise reduction is limited. You can still hear outside noise semi-clear, but not overpowering. People near you may hear your stuff if you have it loud as well. My ONLY unknown is the durability. Only had this for about a week. We shall see!

Well I'm not an audio enthusiast by any means.... But these are great for music and gaming. I bought these after I broke my Piranhas... Great headphones. ALOT more comfortable than my last pair. They are nice and big and cover the whole ear without squishing your head.I plan to get a sound card in the near future which will only make these headphones shine more I'm sure.

Cons:Some plastics feel cheap, but it seems like it can take quite a beating.

Pros:LightComfortableLong sleeved cableGreat sound qualityLook good IMO
Comment:
So I've been wearing these headphones with my glasses for the past 5 hours and they are comfortable. The design is made so it goes around your head, it doesn't squeeze it which is great for in home use, but takes more space when carrying (not that they will go anywhere for me so no biggie here). They are big, comfortable, although I had to move them a bit every hour or so, but I have to do it with every headphone.I haven't tried the mic so far, but mic quality isn't very important for me, as long as people can hear what I say it's good enough. In game sounds are great and music also. For that price, can't go wrong, especially since I got them on sale and free shipping. A new Razer fan for sure.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:They're not to be compared to $200+ headphones... But they can put up a fight, IMO.

Pros:-Great looking-Very light, won't give neck aches-The sound quality seems excellent to me for the price-The wire looks like it's good quality-The sound controller isn't bulky
Comment:
You get what you pay for and maybe a little bit more. I think this headset provides sound quality that's equivalent to that of headphones of the same price range, but with a mic. When I bought them I felt like I was being cheap as I usually buy more expensive headphones but these have me satisfied so far.

Razer RZ04-00270100-R3U1 Carcharias Gaming Headset
Cons:- These do not perform like gaming headphones. Out of the box with an unmodified audio engine, the game I play most of the time (Urban Terror) reproduces audio very poorly. Sounds between 0-20 feet in game are impossible to pinpoint. Sometimes I can't hear people right behind me, sometimes someone across the screen sounds like they're right beside me, etc. I purchased these because I was under the impression I was missing sounds I should be hearing. Maybe I was, but I still am with these. With a 3rd party audio engine the situation is better, and I am hearing more than I was with my $20, 2 year old headset. However, these should be much better out of the box considering they are supposedly gaming headphones, and have received favorable reviews for their sound quality. I bought these primarily for gaming. Honestly, I can't recommend these for gamers looking for a tactical advantage. If you want a cheap headset that will make your games sound better while still being great for music and movies, get these. If you want something that makes you hear delicate sounds from farther away, get something else.- Mic sucks. It picks up a LOT of background noise like fans, despite claiming it won't. My computer is pretty quiet (HAF with stock fans and a stock s1283 fan), but this thing makes me sound like I'm in a hurricane. With noise suppression turned on in my sound card control panel, there is no background noise, but my voice sounds way different and there is a high pitched ringing sound in the background. This, of course, has nothing to do with the headset, but shouldn't be necessary with a "noise filtering microphone!" But who cares about mic quality as long as you're audible?

Pros:- Good sound quality for music/movie audio.- Braided cord.- Solid shirt clip (I've broken so many of these things on cheap headsets).- Lightweight.- Pretty comfortable to wear for long periods. Not great, but it's not anywhere close to painful.- Construction seems decent. It's plastic, but if you treat it well (no throwing, no dropping) the frame should outlast the speakers.- Bass is nice and rumble-y, which is nice for music and machine gun sounds.
Comment:
The Carcharias are great for music, are light weight, stylish, and are a solid product all around. Oh, they're gaming headphones? Shi... Well, they're not that good for gaming, frankly. They SOUND great in games. Large caliber weapons make a pleasing rumbling when fired, and higher frequency sounds are reproduced nicely. But you just don't hear that much. (click read more)I have problems hearing footsteps and judging where they are. The direction is fine, but distance? Forget it. 0 feet, 20 feet, it's all the same. Sometimes I don't even hear a teammate walking right behind me. Reloading sounds and gun shots I can pinpoint perfectly, but those footsteps are impossible. With my last headset ($20 Altec Lansing, 2 years old) I could do this fine. I suspect this is due to a bad crossover point for bass/midrange, but that's just me and my next to non-existent knowledge of audio. In summary:Good for music, movies, and making games sound good. Bad for gaming.
