It worked. Snug connection, and not as flimsy as I had anticipated. Could be constructed a lot more sturdily. I can see how I might have connection troubles w/ a lot of use and/or abuse. Neat little adapter. I took the drive out of my mom's toasted laptop and employed this adapter to plug it into my old desktop rig. Low cost When I received this it looked like it was going to perform. When I attempted plugging the notebook HDD, the energy connector fell off. Yes it fell off, I did not pull on it or applied any force it just fell off. I t seems that the power connectors have been not soldered appropriately. fortunately I own and know how to solder and was able to repair this. Following you bend/remove a pin, it operates (unless you've got an IDE cable that doesn't have that pin ව blocked). All the IDE cables I've got at the property have pin ව blocked, so I had to bend that pin down on the adapter. It worked soon after that.

Inexpensive. Other than that, don't know, because I haven't been in a position to use it. Haven't truly been in a position to use it yet. The connector plugs just fine into my two.five" HDD, but it won't plug into the IDE cables I have. The adapter has all of the pins on it, and my cables, there is no hole for pin 20, so the adapter won't plug into my cables.

Sturdy building, straightforward to use. Plug it up and go. I bought this to do some information recovery for a buddies messed up laptop, worked without having a hitch. Older ide interface.
