Works just as it must, excellent value, looks good, caps fit each sides, uncomplicated for anybody to use, sturdy, compact, and handy. Not much you can really say, other than it functions, it's fast adequate, lets me read SDHC cards and, functions in even old computers with low-speed USB. Recognized rapidly without having issue on every laptop or computer I've plugged it into so far, even the 9yr old Sony. Tiny small lanyard holes on just the caps mean that even if you put a lanyard on them, the caps could still be separated from the reader, not an concern although seriously. Umm, the blue status indicator LED is seriously vibrant and it hurts my eyes if I look at it from too close. Buy it just to have on hand, can't go wrong.

Now I don't have to connect my digital camera to my laptop or computer with a wire to transfer my photos. This card reader is also considerably quicker with transfers as nicely. I could do with no the two pieces that could be removed. But it's truly not a large sufficient deal to truly complain about. There's genuinely no other selection in finding a card reader as efficient as this one

None Does not read cards. Windows XP sees the USB device, but says that no disk is identified. I can use a different card reader to see the SD card. The card is a 2GB Kensington SD card from NewEgg which works great (with an additional card reader). Either this just doesn't perform, or there is a size limitation. Not confident. At any rate, it doesn't perform for what I need to have it to. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,Thank you really much for obtain the RSD-CR106. None for me. It installed OK, it seemed to load a driver, but no cards recognized Purchased this unit along with 3 1GB Transcend SD's to use with a digital frame I purchased from Newegg. Very same outcomes as some other users, no matter what cards I insert the Pc does not see a "disk in the drive." Tried all three cards, then tried 1 of the cards in my camera, it worked fine. Not worth returning the unit, so I'll eat it & order a different, much better unit. I have completed organization with Newegg before, and certainly will again. Can't blame them for just about every single DOA. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,Thank you quite considerably for acquire the RSD-CR106. The problem may be due to a defective unit. Smaller. Fits in your pocket. Works properly. Caps from both sides make it too huge. I took the caps off and by no means looked back. Getting a hole for the keychain ring would be a plus.

A cheap and fundamental device nicely packaged, rapidly shipped and received earlier than expected. Card Reader performs precisely as expected. None No surprises, reasonable shipping charge. I expected Newegg to have a pocket portable device like this card reader and to get it to me rapidly and effectively with no fuss. They did--I'm pleased

This reader is fabulous! Had some poor readers in the past but this one really does it's job. Reads and writes to just about every card I stick in it and it even reads and writes X10 and SDHC cards at leading speed. None, zero, zilch! Ordered 1 of these several months ago and liked it so much I ordered 3 a lot more so I could have a couple in my netbook case and a spare. Couldn't be happier. All of them are working extremely nicely.

This is a fantastic small SD card reader. It reads all the contemporary SD card formats (SDHC, etc.), and functions well. The little size makes it quite portable, and it can plug into just about any PC I've encountered. I occasionally misbehaves - won't read a card. But if I unplug the reader and reinsert it, then it works fine. I purchased a couple of these - one for work - 1 for house - one for each of my laptops. It is worth carrying with you, even if your laptop has a built-in reader due to the fact you can use this to transfer files in between computers that don't have card readers. It makes burning DVDs to move files obsolete.

Works wonderful & supports HD cards. Compact size. Has an insanely bright blue light that stays on all the time. Why do men and women put these bright lights in electronics, anyway? This got lost in the mail, but Newegg sent out an additional ASAP. That's why I preserve acquiring from them, if there is a difficulty they take care of it.

two-of-3 work fine. Have a collection of SD/SDHC cards in between 512MB through 8GB. Reader feels solid, card slides in and out incredibly smooth. Blue LED could be applied for emergency lighting (very bright), but it's function providing connection/read/write is preferred. Pop-off caps on each ends offer good protection, but are a hassle to track / not lose. 1x DOAWhen connected, blue LED comes on. Two computers can see the reader (w7/XP). "My Laptop" displays "Removable Disk" status for Drive (E). But rotating numerous SD flash cards by means of reader finish in failure. When clicking on "Removable Disk Icon" results with the same ERROR ... "Please Insert Disk into Drive (E). For additional testing, I put the similar SD cards which failed on the new Rosewill, in my two year old A'Data card reader, no issue reading. This is my initial expertise buying Rosewill. Friend at function required a reader so I discovered these on sale. They had been a excellent cost (ŭ.99 shipped), so I also ordered one for my daughter / school and one more for myself, backing up my two year old A'Data reader. Can't give the DOA to my friend ... mailing DOA back to Newegg is not a price remedy. Adjusted cost ............... ŭ.99 for friend, ป.98 for daughter's, and my DOA can be utilised for spare finish caps for them. Hopefully one more good deal will come along to backup my aging A'Data reader.

It's tiny, it's straightforward to use, it's rapidly, and ideal of all - it's Cheap! Only fits SD cards Rather than pulling out a cable and plugging your camera in, slide an SD card in, plug it into your PC, and bam! either use windows to import pictures/movies or view the card like a Disk!

I've had the Rosewill RSD-CR106 for just over a month now. Under Vista utilizing a Western Digital 640GB 7200 RPM hard drive, my transfer rates were as follows during a test I created this morning on 3ǝቦ: Patriot 8GB SDHC Flash Card Model PSF8GSDHC4 ɨ.8MB/sec ; PNY Optima 16GB SDHC class four = 7.6MB/sec ; A-Data 16GB SDHC TurboSD 16G = 10.6MB/sec ; Transcend 8GB SDHC Flash Card Model TS8GSDHC10 = 15.4MB/secand my Wingate Filemate SDHC 16GB Class 10 card = 20.4MB/sec!! To test, I transferred a 3.2GB video sample I had created to a specified folder on my harddrive 3X, then averaged the three transfers. The most notable difference was with my Class 10 Wingate card -- Transfer speed was Really fast! I didn't have any failure to come across the Rosewill reader when placed in my USB 2. interface. None that I've skilled so far. Maybe the reader is a bit wider than some other readers I've applied. While a bit far more pricey, I'm truly liking the Class 10 SDHC cards.

Great unit for less than ten beans. Bought it for my mom due to the fact she's got a fairly nice camera, but the card reader built into her notebook was incompatible with SDHC and she was stuck utilizing a 2GB card. Now she can use her 8GB card without bothering with that worthless Kodak software. Also, I type of like how the back cover on the unit is huge sufficient to be on and covering the inserted card. Could be beneficial as sort of an upgradeable thumb drive. Does not smell like bacon. Truly I guess it's greater that it doesn't. Still, it could have come with bacon. Or chili. Chili makes every thing superior.
