Power Provide was rock solid, rounded connectors enable clear up clutter in the situation. Efficient enough to power 3 SATA Hard drives, 2 IDE Tough Drives, a SATA DVD Burner, and a GeForce 8800GT The power supply ended up failing following roughly 28 months of continuous service. I requested an RMA replacement with Rosewill, hopefully they'll accept.

Cheap. Free of charge shipping (at the time). Wrapped cables. Black color. Good massive fan. Wonderful power provide for a standard build. Would not advocate for extreme game rigs. None so far. After Christmas, energy provide was reduced to back up duty. Got a new Cooler Master case w/ power provide. Up till it's demotion, it has performed effectively. Now it is collecting dust on a shelf.

It worked well for six months. It's quiet. I loved it though it worked. It only worked nicely for six months. The PSU has because began to pop, crackle, tick, and zap beneath load. It's out of the 30 day return peroid by a extended approaches, so I will be contacting Rosewill today to see what they are willing to do. My worry is that it will take most of hardware with it when it goes (which ought to be any mintue), as PSUs typically do. This absolutely a defect in the PSU, not due to my setup. A 400w PSU is overkill for my computer system and this thing must be in a position to handle it without having breaking a sweat. My setup is as beneath (so any can effortlessly see I'm not stressing this PSU):Intel D845GRG MBP4 Northwood two.8ghzGeForce 6200Maxtor HDSamsung HDDVD driveCD-RW drivethree.5" driverear case fannorthbridge fanGPU fanCPU fan (obviously) Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer,Thank you extremely a lot for purchase the RD400-two-SB. Fit in my Emachines case perfectly. Cables have nice black mesh about them. Quiet, 120 mm fan. Ideal. Sata power adapters are not at correct angles which would make it simpler in smaller circumstances like mine. Not a major sufficient problem to take any eggs off though. 2 Sata adapters 5 inches apart on similar cable. 8 pin and four pin cpu on same cable.

Plug-and-play replacement for a dead Compaq Presario desktop energy provide. Incredibly attractive seeking box; Large fan and impressive-hunting shielded energy cables. Fan is on the inside of the box and is at least 50% larger than OEM; it kicks into high speed upon startup but then drops back to silent operation. Separate I/O switch on the box is good added feature. Only one particular four-prong energy connector for DVD or (old) tough drive; plenty of SATA connectors, though. Excellent value for the investment!

Wrapped cables remind me of a modular provide, lots of connectors and is nice and quiet There's only 2 sata connections and they are really close with each other on the 1 wrapped cable. Not a large deal knew this going in from a different reviewer, thanks Most new motherboards are shipping with a sata power adapter so no eggs off for that.

It runs cool and quiet. The cables are just lengthy sufficient to reach almost everything. I have certainly no difficulties with it. I'm employing it in a Dell GX280. If your questioning how I got it in such a tiny case, I didn't. I have the PSU sitting behind the case and the wires operating by way of the back. It operates excellent.

I've applied this PSU for really a though now, on an external HD rack. I had too numerous harddrives to fit inside my case, so the rack was vital. Sadly, the PSU in the case didn't have long enough cables to power the HDs, so I had to get a spare. This operates flawlessly, even when being turned on and off frequently. None Very quiet, appears to be efficient

Looks outstanding - nice black color. Nice fan on bottom to pull air up. A big quantity of cables to power anything you have. Great value. I didn't like the way the 4 pin and 8 pin CPU energy connector had been on the same cord - it created it slightly annoying to maintain the 8 pin out of the stock heatsink/fan. I had to zip tie it quite tightly to stop it from potentially dropping in. Everyone talking about the SATA connectors becoming too close together - yes they are appropriate, but who cares on a quality PSU for this affordable? Buy a four pin molex to SATA energy connector. You should have them around anyway, all HDDs and DVD drives are fairly much SATA now, and I don't know why you'd be getting a PSU with about 12 connectors on it if you are only installing a single HDD and DVD drive.

Have bought various of these models more than the years as replacements for typical desktop computers. HP, Dell, House brewed, you name it. Usually perform like a charm, have plenty of power for most typical Pc builds. To date, not a single one of these that I purchased as a replacement have died. Sometimes you could run into problems not having adequate Sata connectors or one thing, but I have so numerous converters that I under no circumstances have an problem. Not much else to add, they aren't created of gold, and they may possibly not be that fairly, but they seem to be fairly solid and reliable for my desires so far. I have bought many various models of the "Stallion" series over the past 3 years and they all have held up fine. I have had more Rosewill PSUs burn out that came with their circumstances soon after a couple years prior to these have, even although the same corporation makes them. But Rosewill for the most component have been pretty superior to me for getting fairly reliable more than the last 4 years considering that I started employing their numerous items.

It worked for about 3 months. It only worked for about three months. I was attempting to save income when creating my wife pc, so I purchased this PSU. I had it installed for about three months till recently, it began creating a really high pitched squeal. I determined it was not the fan, but an electrical component generating the squeal. The system was clean and surprisingly no cost of dust. I also have it hooked up to a high high quality surge protector with the printer and another device attached to it, and it has by no means tripped. I've bought several Rosewill parts in the past and I've by no means had a difficulty like this prior to. I knew they weren't the greatest company and I've heard horror stories, but they were inexpensive. I will by no means purchase an crucial part with the Rosewill brand once again.
