I've had this PSU for more than a year now ྯ months) and it's nonetheless going strong! The color is excellent, the two fans genuinely aid with my 3 case fans, my computer runs very cool. I wasn't expecting miracles for this low price, but I am still pleasantly shocked how properly it's holding up and shows no signs of giving up anytime soon. None. I would have purchased this identical PSU for the other computer in my residence, but it has greater power needs than mine, so I had to get a 700W for that one, but I would absolutely purchase this one once again for my laptop or computer if the one I have fails.

Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2DB 500W Power Supply
Comment:
It comes with both a four pin and 8 pin CPU connector, as well as a 24 pin ATX connector with 4 removable to lower it to a 20 pin if important. It has sufficient PCI-E and SATA connectors for general usage, although RAID arrays and Crossfire/SLI might be pushing it. Honestly although, you'd most likely be buying a PSU with much more wattage if you were doing any of those factors. May well be a bit light on connectors for Crossfire/SLI and RAID. It's also not modular, so any unused connectors have to be hidden away. Mine also seems to run a bit warmer than my previous PSU's. I'm not positive if perhaps the two 80mm fans can't manage the heat as nicely as my old PSU's or since this one is 500W when those had been 350W. So far it hasn't verified to be a problem although, and it's not burning to the touch or anything.

Great appear, blue LED's are amazing, wonderful max wattage for cost, effortless to install, enough cable options for the typical motherboard/ program. I've owned this power supply for 2-3 years now, but recently I've got a whirring noise that is a lot more than noticeable. I often leave my computer on by means of the night, and it has remained stationary. I did a small investigating and figured out its the fan scraping against the mount. The greatest power supply I had ever owned till the strange noise came about.

Power supply is wonderful. This is a fantastic power supply if you are searching for a cheep trustworthy psu. I have pretty much had it for a year now and I have never had a difficulty, fits excellent in my mid tower atx case and more than sufficient cables to power every thing. The cables appear nice inside of the case and are straightforward to function with. Newegg delivered the product four days early, and that is quickly mainly because I am at the moment on an island off of Alaska. Rapidly is the word. none. I'm just disappointed I can not maintain this power supply for my new develop. With the low wattage my new create demands a lot a lot more. This is something to usually take into account when getting a power supply. If you want it to last a couple of builds buy a better supply than what you require. Not a dilemma for me, just I really feel like Im letting this power supply down by moving on.

Quiet, and the light color matches my case lights. Also, the style is good and even although it's not modular the wires are still fairly neat and tidy. It's not modular? But that's apparent. I've had this since 2007 powering a somewhat power hungry machine and it's nonetheless going powerful.

It looks cool with the blue LED's and all the cables becoming sheathed. The two fans help move a small additional air via the chassis. I'm operating a DP45SG, an Intel Quad Core, 2x SATA HDD, and a ATI X800 Gfx card and so far no issues. The fans will occasionally run a little loud but I can sleep by way of police sirens, gun fights, robot invasions, and smaller contained home fires so it has but to really bother me. Based on the reviews it looks like this P/S has a tendency to give up the ghost soon after two years of difficult use so I'll be interested to see what occurs when I reach that point.

I purchased this for drastically less expensive then other PSUs at the same rateing and it works fine. 1 of the energy cables is very brief and I had to move my DVD player to the lower slot but other then that I had no issues. It was low cost, It worked like it was supposed to and it looks wonderful. I really liked the blue light on the back of my computor case.

Incredibly nice PSU. Loving the dual fans, so my system is already running much cooler than prior to. -WHISPER QUIET! I don't even comprehend my laptop or computer is on!- Pretty rapidly shipping, I in fact got it in a day just before estimated delivery. - Cost!!- The CABLES ARE SLEEVED!! Thank you, Rosewill for finally generating an economical sleeved PSU!-Has all the connections I'll ever need to have and some extras for when I want to expand my method. - Wonderful cable length! I've a mid-tower and the cables in fact scrunched up a bit since of how lengthy they had been. (It's a superior to have too significantly slack, than to be 1ቦ of an inch brief of reaching the connection) -It's not specifically 500w, it's far more like 480 but I already knew that coming into the purchase. -It doesn't make pancakes. My last PSU was failing, so I decided to get a Rosewill psu. I am pleased with the buy. Newegg Rocks! I've always had a fantastic experience obtaining rosewill products and will continue to be a rosewill fan. Crazy quickly shipping! Thank you NewEgg!!

Good airflowSleeved cables500wLots of connectorsPower cable includedBall-bearing fans are nice and quiet. Sleeved cables! In smaller circumstances (especially stock circumstances that a laptop or computer comes with) the cables are tough to function with simply because of their stiffness, a result of the sleeves on them.65% efficiency (but hey I'm 14 and I'm not paying the energy bills) I got this factor when it was on sale for less than โ, and that price it's a fantastic deal. There are enough power connectors, and a massive enough selection, for pretty much any midrange PC configuration. You will most likely max out the 500 watts accessible before you run out of cables.
