None that I observed. Only lasted for 3 hours. Didn't even get a likelihood to get all of the windows updates loaded ahead of it died. I was originally going to order a WD drive, but absolutely everyone told me how good the samsung drives were. Nicely, after I RMA this 1, it will be the final samsung drive I ever very own. I'll stick with WD from now on.

This is my third Samsung drive. They are all nevertheless in operation. Excellent, fast, quiet. None (so far) I like to run these drives in RAID. I also have a single operating stand alone. All are operating nicely. Very good value for 500 GB drive.

Price for what seems to be a trusted pieces is a plus. Initial couple days I thought I heard some clicking and was afraid I would have to RMA, but all quiet now ... so worried but glad items are working as a result far. Doesn't have the coolness of TB behind size.

Utilizing this for a class in hot swap drive bays. It remains cool to the touch immediately after doing some rather brutal factors to it. Snappy small bugger and the packaging it arrived in produced me really feel at ease that it was effectively taken care of in shipment. It functions as advertised, need to have I say far more? Seems to be a strong if somewhat unremarkable HDD. Installation for these is challenging to screw up if you're not messing with Raid and such so there have been no troubles with that. Doesn't appear to contribute considerably noise pollution. Critical factor: it didn't cease to function inside a week of getting setup. None, really. As long as it holds up (and I'll surely report back if it does not.) there's not a lot to complain about. I suppose it may possibly lack some of the fancy capabilities of other brands/models but at the end of the day it does what it's supposed to do. I'll go ahead and say flat out that the only cause I purchased this HDD is simply because the critiques for its WD and Seagate contemporaries were utterly unacceptable; you do not release a critical method elements which have anything Near that sort of failure/problem rate, period. I would rather just spend far more for something up front than be sold a piece of junk "for less".Needless to say, that's why I appreciate internet sites like this which let you evaluate user experiences though you shop. Otherwise I would have happily just "bought the name", in this case (having often been a Seagate fan).

Quickly & Quiet Not SSD, but, what can you do? Purchased the drive and thought it had began to fail. Turns out my situation had (at the time) inadequate cooling and when the drive would heat up the SATA cable would partially detach from the socket. When I do my routine servicing the moment a month and blow it out, I disconnect and reconnect the cable, and I have had no concerns considering that. I have also added a lot more fans, which seemed to clear it up permanently.

Fast, quiet. none. Had a difficult time picking between this and a WD Caviar Black. The F3 has quicker transfer speeds, the WD has more rapidly access occasions.
