I purchased this on a whim, as an inexpensive choice to (eyefinity) a third monitor on to my XFX HD5770. It works exactly as intended, it was fully plug and play, and Catalyst saw it ahead of the monitor was even turned on. 3x1 Samsung 23's None so far. I saw some complaints about longevity of the adapter... Too early to tell but if I have an issue I will surely update this.

Employing in three-way Eyefinity setup. Genuine globe performance is incredible. Runs any game I throw at it with a lot more than sufficient frame rates and most even at insane Eyefinity resolutions.Runs quiet and cool,Got for excellent price tag - initially Sapphire over bigger brands but will think about them from now on anytime.Smaller/quieter than older Nvidia GTX 260. ATI drivers. Nonetheless somewhat much more buggy/more painful to use than Nvidia IMHO. Had the prevalent ATI rotation problem with switching Eyefinity from portrait to landscape but found workaround by often "breaking" group prior to switching orientation.

The port adapter worked for 1 night. it was cool. The subsequent morning I went down to fine tune the resolutions and identified that the DPA that i just bought wasent operating any much more. Immediately after about three hours of troubleshooting, reloading, switching cables, etc. I came here to see what others had stated. About ten% of the reveiws had the very same difficulty. It just stops operating. I have an RMA to get yet another one. Kinda bummed that this item has such a high failure rate. The lesson here is, jsut make confident to preserve your packaging. =)

This adapter does what it is suppose to actively adapts your displayport to single link DVI. I purchased this for Eyefinity on my Sapphire 100281-3SR Radeon HD 5870 and it works good games run fine even with just the one card fps ranges from 40 - 100 based on what game your playing but they are quite playable. The only con it has is at times when playing about with unique full screen resolutions going from one to the other the link can fail but all you have to do is reset the resolution again.

It is 1 of the very best Active DP on the marketplace and 1 of the cheapest. I purchased this mainly because I didn't want to spend 120 dollars on a simple adapter. It works fantastic and allows me to run three monitors The only con I would say is that it wasn't bundled with my new Sapphire card like it should be YOU Have to. have three monitors of the Exact same resolution in order to get EYEfinity. You can run 3 with this, but in order to run it throughout games, you have to have eyefinitiy which is all monitors very same Max Res and preferably very same size. Wonderful Purchase !

Works excellent with eyefinity if you don't have a monitor with a displayport input.I had been using a displayport to vga adapter for my 3rd monitor, and my monitor kept losing signal. I plugged this adapter in with a dvi cable and it worked like a charm. none

This is the 1 you want, ACTIVE DisplayPort to DVI adapter to allow that 3rd non DP monitor for your eyefinity setup. This is 1Ǚ the cost of ALL other adapters i've observed online and i'm operating 5760x1080, Wonderful IN GAMES! hurry up as i'm purchasing a couple a lot more appropriate after dinner! This is an ACTIVE adapter that converts DISPLAY PORT to DUAL LINK DVI wich indicates your going to want a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter. luckily my Sapphire came with this extra adapter. Just make certain you have that piece or order one of those at the same time. For years now i've had Nvidia Cards, Multiple cards to run four displays but only one would run whilst gaming so i decided to make the move to AIT but when i decided to go down to 3 screens (Eyefinity6 Assistance so perhaps the wife will permit three additional?) i was really frustrated till i realized there is a signaling concern and when dealing with Display Port, HDMI/DVI/VGA devices are deemed "legacy" like your old serial/parallel ports and at present only supports 2 of these legacy devices so to make your 5000 series eyefinity card read those remaining 4 ports, this is the adapter you need unless you've forked over an excessive quantity of cash on a DP enabled monitor.

Incredibly Easy to use. Plugged it in and worked immediately. Did not even have to alter settings. None. Now running Ɠ) 23'' Asus monitors with my 5570.

Works with HD 5970, no glitches or complications with the adapter, worked suitable off the bat. The cable going from DP to DVI is a little stiff which if disturbed could break it. I don't know fully but not willing to test it. Get your cords prepared, get it together, stick it into your HD 5xxx-6xxx series card and call it a day.

Required my 3rd DVI Monitor hooked up. Complications solved without having effort. N/A I got three monitors for gaming, but was actually surprised how considerably I like three monitors over two for perform and windows in general.

It worked with out power supply. Desk leading would flicker any time i oced the gpus. Died soon after four months. Shorted card at display port forcing all monitors to go off. Desk leading flicker do to over clocking gpus caused by an problem with the bios in ati card. Right after more than clocking gpu the bios would ignore 1 clock setting and use a unique clock which forced gpu and it's ram to run really low. Causing flicker in display port. If you have this concern run gpu at stock must fix it.

It works. It does what it's meant to do. It let me do triple monitor Eyefinity with no problems. Couldn't get it to work with my "awkward" test setup. At the time, I didn't have a DVI cable, so I connected a DVI-VGA adapter onto the unit and it wouldn't recognize my display. Now that I've gotten ahold of a DVI cable, I've connected the DVI cable to the unit and it works flawlessly. Don't know why this product has gotten so quite a few negative reviews. It does what it was meant to do and absolutely nothing more. Also, I am employing a non-reference XFX Radeon HD 5850 for my setup.

Cheaper than usb powered adapters. Works fantastic! No flickering. none. Be sure you have enough room behind your case if its up against a wall. the adapter is extremely stiff.

I did not obtain this for an Eyefinity setup. I have a Latitude E6410 with a DisplayPort (DP) connection and an Acer X233H LCD. Really, the DP connection is a DP++ connection which indicates it also has embedded DVI and HDMI signals. The monitor only has VGA and DVI inputs. I did not like the fuzzy picture quality with the VGA connection, so I had been attempting unsuccessfully to get the DP->DVI connection to work.I went by way of three diverse DP to DVI cables ahead of attempting this adapter. With the cables, the monitor knew it had a connection, but it would always just show a black screen. I then tried this adapter and it worked right away. The reason this adapter works is that it is an "active" adapter. This is one of the new low price active adapters - previously you have had to pay well over 贄 to get an active adapter. The cost is still a little high.It would be nice if this was a 1m DP->DVI cable instead of just an adapter. I am very pleased with this adapter. My LCD picture is razor sharp now. My weeks of frustration have been resolved.

This is wonderful, I own the Sapphire 5770 and often wanted to run all 3 of my monitors two 24" and 1 50" plasma, this is just certainly amazing because the clarity and the resolution remain the similar on all 3. none Works perfectly

Fantastic product for the value. I have an HD5830 and needed to make use of the Displayport port in order to complete my 3 monitor setup. This little adapter works like a charm- even using a 50 foot DVI cable. It's a small stiff, so it requirements a bit of propping up, but it's absolutely nothing significant. Shipped quick and got here quick- fantastic job as always NewEgg.

OK my video card has a DVI, VGA and DisplayPort, but you can only run any two at a time due to the fact it only has two clocks. Due to the fact the Sapphire is "Active" it provides its own clock. I am now running 3 monitors thanks to Sapphire... I'm genuinely, actually happy! None It didn't auto detect my resolution, I had to manually set it.

Eyefinity works! LOW price too.I bought a Diamond 6870 with a mini display port. I wanted to run three monitors in a game (Eyefinity) and could not do it with a Mini DP to DVI cable. This required an "Active" Display port to DVI cable to get the third monitor to work in this mode. Since the card I bought had a mini Display port, I had to go to an on the web auction corporation to purchase a low cost (male) Mini Display port to (female) Display port adapter. (not a con, but a necessity to keep the cost LOW, wish that newegg would carry cable so I can acquire my next setup all in 1 location). I will buy yet another for my other system.

Awesome this worked like a charm with my ATI 5670 for my 3rd screen, no need for an costly soloution.My XFX ATI 5670 has 1 display port, 1 DVI and 1 HDMI and I am running 3 19" 1440x900 screens none! I was a bit worried this would not work with my ATI 5670 card but, worked!
