SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood) 100287VGAL Video Card
Comment:
This card is perfect for my HTPC. The fan runs extremely quiet, the Radeon HD 5xxx cards run bitstreaming out from HDMI (So far on supported in PowerDVD 9) for DTS-HD for Blu-Rays, it draws really low power, and it isn't extremely pricey. Blu-Ray playback quite low CPU usage on a AMD Athlon X2 5050e. The most up-to-date 10.1 Catalyst drivers from ATI did not appear to recognize the card, so I installed the drivers that came with the it. These worked fine. Mine is connected making use of HDMI to my Onkyo Receiver. With the Bitstreaming HD audio now readily available, a super pricey sound card is no longer required. Also I have not attempted any gaming with this card, but that's not it's intended goal.

This is a genuinely fantastic video card for the money. I've attempted it on portal, team fortress two, and assassin's creed so far, and for all of them I've gotten 50+ fps on incredibly higher settings and 1280x1024 resolution (coupled with four gbs of DDR2 and a Q8300). I haven't run into a single challenge. It's extremely energy efficient, too. Regrettably, the fan is so quiet that I can't tell if the card is there unless I appear into my case. Oh, wait. This is a solid video card for its ever-decreasing cost (when I first picked out my parts on newegg, it was ๭. By the time I bought it about a month later, it was 77. Profit!).

Excellent performance, no require for a PCIE power connector, quiet Not as pictured. Mine came with a dual slot back plate which would be fine for most folks, however I'm trying to place mine in an htpc case with only 1 slot. General a wonderful deal at ๖. seeing the value drops, the AMD 6xxx series cards need to be correct around the corner.

Good card for low power systems. (No want for external power.) Bought for Planet of Warcraft, which not too long ago upgraded their graphics. Has latest Dx and shader. Plays at Max settings. I said it plays WoW at max (ultra) settings, on the other hand it did start out skipping frames when moving. Changed settings to high and it performs fantastic. Most likely ideal card out there ideal now for beneath one hundred.00

Good blue coloring to match the color scheme of my case and fan LEDs. HDMI output which i had to have considering that i have an HD monitor. None so far. I havent had tome to install and test any games as of but but i'm gonna test it on WoW and CoD:MW and see how it goes and then I'll test it on Batman: Arkham Asylum due to the fact that's newer and has considerably greater needs than either of the 1st 2 games. i'm also gonna throw a second monitor on it and see how well it performs with that whilst gaming and post an additional assessment at some point

Very good cost, great overall performance for the money. The video output is weak, bad color saturation, dark text on light background shows shadowing. I'm a software developer who sometimes plays games, so I've been looking for a mid-range card with the video top quality of my much-loved fx3400 card. The previous Geforce 9600 didn't fit the bill, and this doesn't either. Are all gaming cards this bad, or do I just have a knack for picking lemons?

- Modest card, effortless to mount on uATX board- Low power requirement! No beefy PSU or devoted power cable needed. Powered from the PCIX slot- Graphics appear great and frame rates are acceptable on modern day games (mostly Starcraft II, WOW, and so on.)- DX11 (although I don't have any DX11 games to try on it) The only con I can discover is there are some similarly priced DX10 cards that benchmark a tiny greater than this card (HD4850 w/ rebate, etc.). I ultimately went with this card though mainly because it got me in the door with DX11 (although those games are not out yet). I am a firm believer in acquiring middle of the road (best band for your buck) personal computer hardware opposed to best of the line gear that will also get outdated shortly. This is a very good card that meets that philosophy.

Have attempted this card in wifes pc , did the same issue there.. Inexpensive

Straightforward install: no pci-e cables, just installed card and downloaded most recent drivers. Fairly quiet: not silent, but quieter than my program until I turn the card's fan up to about 85%. Cool: has stayed below 60deg C even following an hour of 100% utilization benchmark. As title suggests, good bang for buck: rated ţ on passmark's website for value vs. overall performance. Nothing at all, as long as you do a tiny investigation and know what you are receiving for the ๛ you are spending. Initial I ought to point out that right after carrying out some study I found that for this level of video card doubling the ram adds really negligable improvement to overall performance. Go with better model, not a lot more memory in this case.As for my private encounter, this card was the excellent addition for my spending budget (light) gaming method. I am now at 踲 and the only point I have not upgraded is my case and DVD burner. (Looking at HAF912 case). System is as follows:Biostar TA785GE 128MAthlon II X4 635 ƒ.9Ghz O.C. three.4GHz)A-Information 2gb DDR2 800 Seagate 500Gb HDDCooler Master Elite 460 PSUSapphire Radeon HD 5670ViewSonic p815 21" CRT MonitorPlays Crysis at 1280 x 1024 all medium 2X AA ㅯfps (built in benchmark)Plays Doom three at 1600 x 1200 maxed out with 4X AA 110fps+(Demo1 benchmark).I am pleased. Now for that situation...์ for HAF912 and nevertheless beneath 躔 for a darn superior price range program, and then I can justify 趚 for decent LCD monitor.

ATI styles a fantastic no fantastic chip. Bought from newegg two months ago. Doesn't operate effectively. Screen scrambled with checker board pattern. Can't seem to locate anyone responsible to stand behind the so known as warranty. Too late for newegg's 30 day return. Really should have charged to my credit card as an alternative of ATM! I'm out $$$ with no recourse. Designed in the US. Assembled in China. Supported by WHO? Don't even assume it was tested before getting put in a box. This item was advertised with a TWO YEAR warranty. But newegg now says: "Unfortunately, our records indicate that the manufacturer's parts warranty for this product has expired. Please contact the product manufacturer for added service possibilities. However, our records indicate that the manufacturer's labor warranty for this product has expired. Please make contact with the product manufacturer for added service selections."Jeez now what? Filled out a form on the internet and NO ANSWER from Sapphire. Phooey.

None as I see it. Original item was defective. After a painful and lengthy RMA from althonmicro - and they didn't make it straightforward - the "repaired" video card was DOA. Nothing at all on screen. The fan did turn nevertheless. Phooey. Adequate is sufficient. I've had it with newegg and their lousy and unreliable suppliers like Sapphire. Why purchase from newegg when they'll abandon you to "inadequacies" of Chinese "customer support." Specifically how tricky is it to test a video card just before returning it as an RMA? Jeez they just don't care, do they?

Well, I believed my 380 Antec psu could manage this card. And it did at initial, but now there are some power issues. The card over clocked Incredibly well, and very straightforward with the Catalyst free of charge program it comes with. It auto tuned excellent. Card also doesn't call for a pci-e plug. Goes straight into the mother board and you're great to go. My own fault, but just purchased a decent 400+ watt power provide. The card has no cons at all. There may be greater cards for the value on the marketplace, do your analysis.

This is a extremely fantastic tiny beast. For under 贄, you can have a DirectX 11 video card capable of playing all the newest games in HD on max settings, assuming you have sufficient RAM and a decent CPU along with it. I've played SOOO quite a few games on max settings and this card has handled all of them flawlessly. You get what you pay for. This is 128-bit RAM, could be superior. Plus it's only 512 MB. Not sufficient for serious gaming. I had to turn the settings down to medium on Crysis to get a constant framerate above 40 ࿈ is the minimal for very first-person-shooters for optimum playability). It demands yet another 512 megs of RAM haha. But other than that, I can't really complain. For underneath 贄 you can have a DirectX 11 video card. What much more can I say?

I purchased this simply because of the price tag and I had an additional a single just like it, but with the display port. These are the great replacement for onboard video!!! I have put these in builds for other individuals that are not gamers, but do almost everything else! One particular card plays LFD2 quite nicely!! When it comes to everything besides gaming, this owns!! See other thoughts......but working with these in xfire leads me to believe that the 5750's and 5770's would be just awesome for low cost with the xfire bridge. Bear in mind this is software program xfire, not the bridged version.I put these on an MSI 890fx GD65 board that permits x16 for both lanes. Unless I game, one particular usually appears to be idle of course. I let the fans on both manage themselves and they maintain themselves below or proper about 50c when gaming. I had to overclock this one particular slightly to catch up with the card that utilizes display port, but no biggie, it does operate very well. So if you can't afford the upper tier cards then this and the 5750's and 5770's will do you proper! NONE! In software program xfire it's the bomb for low cost! I play BFBC2 and didn't want a single card config to be the down fall. I spent way to much on two 5850's and was searching for an alternative to those. Confident these are 128bit cards compared to the 256bit 5850's and there is a distinction, but if you can\'t invest the jack on 5850's or 6950's and even two 6850's, then these 5670's will do very effectively! The sapphire card(also bought here) with the display port on best and this on bottom xfire config provides me a 18958 3dmark06 score(free version). This utilizing a 1090tBE x6 cpu and 8gigs of 1333 ddr3 ram. cpu oc'd to three.six and two ssd drives in a raid0 config. My two 5850's with a 955BE and 8gigs of ram and a single mech hd gets close to 24k on the similar test. I'm not spending income for the new 3dmark test, but if you're fimilar with 06 then you know what I'm writing about right here. I game at 1920x1200 with my 5850's and 1680x150 with these. There is a slight difference with the 128bit cards when coming off 256bit.

Superb card for the price and the overall performance! No extra energy plugs required for you to have raw GDDR5 power!I can max out majority of all my games with this baby.Resident Evil 5,Lost Planet,Devil Could Cry 4 and Street Fighter four. That's like anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering. None so far.I can\'t complain. I was thinking about selecting up the pny 9800 gt but it may possibly be a little energy hungry for my 400 watt psu.The geforce gt 240 was not poor either but the radeon 5670 destroys it in a benchmark battle. If you don't think me do some study on google and gpureview.com.Keep the evergreen household gpus coming Ati!No offense to Nvidia fanboys.

Very good benchmark scores. Quiet. Really rapid shipping from Newegg. Raised Windows rating by virtually three points. None. *cross fingers* Just updated form my nearly eight year old process. I did a 3dmark 03 benchmark on the old program and scored a five,261. Did the same test on the new laptop or computer with just the onboard graphics, scored a four,238. Even worse than the eight year old laptop or computer!!! Put in the new VC and scored a 32,116. 3dmark Vantage scored a small under 6k for this card.

Price tag, Top quality, No need for external power...powered by pci slot. Plays numerous games at lowered resolution detail. Great for light gaming, HTPC, Internet, HULU, Netflix and so on... Cant feel of anything close for the price None Bought this card about a year ago and has been a wonderful card specially now that the cost has dropped I paid 90$ for it and it was a wonderful deal at the time. Has run flawlessly over the last year on my Antec 380w PSU. Thought about just purchasing yet another for crossfire but my current MB does'nt help crossfire. I've been able to play WOW at 1400x900 at Fantastic settings and am at a prettty steady 60fps unless in very populated places. In no populated areas appear to do ok on Ultra settings. Just ordered a 6950 as the cost has dropped substantially and I'm going to do an eyefinity setup. I've now got this in my HTPC rig as an upgrade to IGP 4250 and I can now do light gaming with the 5670. Place it all in a awesome small apex case with manage and I've got a good HTPC, gaming, backup desktop that is quite mobile. Plug in power and HDMI and I'm good to go. New MB and a different card for crossfire is definately in the future for my backup method. I would suggest this card unless heavy gaming

Creating an HTPC that is game capable and this was a good fit. Its remarkable what a sub-贄 card can do now. It is extremely close to the 4800 series cards in performance, and a fraction of the cost and power/heat. Then it advertisements hardware Blu-ray playback help.
